My first Mafia romance read :) I love how the whole Rizzoli’s family protect Mia at all costs !

I never want to spoil a book so I won’t.. but Liam 🤦🏾♀️ sometimes you love him and sometimes he needs a high five to the forehead. Jennifer you did great the connection with each character and I love Mia’s strong will. I’m on ti book two now.

I loved the writing style. When changing POV, author rewinds just a hair which I always enjoy. I love the relationship Liam and Mia have but adding in the males from the family is the perfect 👌 touch. I learned about this book through the author joining a TikTok book give away I frequently watch. She often joins in and let me tell you.... not only is she a great writer but she is the sweetest person! She's very personable. I can't wait to read the rest of the series and her future work.

Omg, this book is everything! 😭
Story is between Liam Rizzoli & Mia Murphy. Liam just took over as the head of the Chicago Italian Mafia from his father. He is the most sexy protective sweet gentleman cinnamon roll who falls instantly & hopelessly in love with Mia from the moment he saw her outside a book store one day on a run. Mia has a troubled past. She is just a simple girl who doesn't believe she is good enough for anyone & is closed off cause of her douchbag ex, but yet she's stronger than she seems. Beautifully written, & just adored how this story also follows Liam's family. The Rizzoli's are everyone's found family. I laughed, I cried, & oooh the spice 🥵🔥 Absolutely ate this book up.

loved!
I am not one to write reviews. I normally just star any of the books that I read, but I had to write a review on this one. This book has the perfect amount of everything! I couldn’t put it down. You can’t help but fall in love the Rizzoli family and all of the characters each one has their own special place in the story. It definitely sets you up to want to know everything about each character and their own stories.Super excited to read the next book and the next. Jennifer Smith is a fantastic author highly recommend and will be reading anything she writes.

Such a great read. I absolutely fell in love with Mia and Liam. The rest of the characters are just as lovable. This story hits all the emotions; there’s love, laughter, intrigue and just enough naughtiness. I can’t wait for the next book.

Wow, wow, wow! I love books that leave me wanting more and this book does just that. It has violence, love, family, possessive jealousy and has made me laugh out loud. This will be a book I read multiple times. Highly recommend for a feel good read!

Yesss I loved Liam from his first moment seeing her lol got soaked in the rain and creeped into the bookstore that was a whole Vibe for me 🥵 🫠 every moment he is 100% but I love how Jennifer Smith shows their inner thoughts 💕 They are both, all of us. Confident and always in our heads lol. Tried not to give spoilers so just a peak at the beginning cuz from there your sucked in and won’t be able to put it down❣️

Man.... Where do I even begin? Let me preface that the 4-star rating from me is generally a 5-star rating for most.
Jennifer Smith hopped into my live one day on TikTok, so we invited her up as a guest to talk about her books and now here we are.

If you enjoy an obsessed mafia romance, then this one is for you. The MMC, Liam, is immediately obsessed with the FMC, Mia, from the moment he sees her. For me, the obsession and relationship were a little too aggressive, but I understand that was the idea of their love story. In my personal opinion, I would love to have seen their relationship build more before it actually began. I still very much enjoyed their relationship and the way it grew and how they bonded to one another so quickly. There was even a moment in this book where I almost cried because the words were so beautifully written, which speaks volumes because I have only ever cried for 2 books (Say You Swear and A Thousand Boy Kisses). While, I wish Mia had shown some resistance towards Liam, I enjoyed her acceptance and willingness to step up the most. The FMC is a strong FMC, which I love to see!
Romance does not stop the mafia world. There are situations that are handled, and Jennifer does a great job describing the violence by giving you a mental image through her words. This is very much a touch her and die read.
This is a fast-paced dual POV read where Jennifer leaves you wanting more! You get a chapter at the end from another character, which will leave you ready to jump right into the next book to see where his story ends up.

If you like a fast-paced, touch her and d*e story, then this Mafia Romance is the one for you. Immediately from the moment the MMC (Liam) locks eyes with the MFC (Mia), he is obsessed with her and will do anything for her. The only thing for me personally that stopped this from being a five star read was that I would of loved to see Liam’s and Mia's relationship grow more, I felt like we were kind of missing out on getting to fully see their relationship blossom. But I do also realize that the intention of the author was for it to be kind of a whirlwind romance. So again, that's just personal preference but ultimately doesn't take away from the story as a whole. I loved the way that Jennifer, the incredible author of this story, so beautifully and eloquently, was able to really put into words two characters undying love for each other. Furthermore, I love the way the author hooks you with the last chapter having you ready to jump into the next book. Overall, I highly recommend that everyone read this book and gets to know the Rizzoli family.

I'm not one to usually leave reviews since I am not good at putting my thoughts into words, however this is such a great read that I needed to share! This book was amazing. It has such a great story line and easy to read and get into. I am a believer of "love at first sight" so I think that's probably why I loved the story so much. The book had a perfect amount of everything in it (laughter, seriousness, family connections, friendships, violence, spice, you name it!) I love the love between the MMC and his Sunshine 🌞 but what I really loved the most that this book shows you is that even when you least expect it there can be someone for you and you are loved always. Liams love for Mia is one thing but his entire family just welcoming Mia into their lives with open arms is what I loved the most. Jennifer did such an amazing job with this book that I cannot wait to start her next book!

However - the author, Jennifer Smith popped onto a BookTok besties live to talk to us about her books and we were all intrigued to check them out, so we did and the rest is history! I’m so glad she was my introduction into the Mafia romance world.
The MMC, Liam is very much “touch her and die” and obsessed from first site with our FMC, Mia. Their romance was really fast, hot & heavy. I do wish we were able to see them get to know each other a little more but that just wasn’t their love story.
As I already said, this is my first dive into this genre so I don’t have a ton to add to this review but excited to get into the rest of her books.
Supporting indie authors makes my heart happy and Jennifer Smith is an absolute gem! Go read her books! They’re free on KU 😉

I rarely write reviews, usually just give star ratings. But this book was so good, I had to! It was absolutely perfect—I couldn't put it down. I fell in love with the Rizzoli family and all the characters; each one has a special place in the story. The book definitely leaves you wanting to know more about each of them and their individual stories. I'm so excited for the next book, and the one after that! Jennifer Smith is a fantastic author, and I highly recommend her work. I'll definitely be reading everything she writes.

I enjoyed the love-at-first-sight opening, and the obsessive nature of the MMC. Liam is so dreamy, and absolutely shines as a MMC who is both his own person, as well as wanting to give Mia the world. I think there is a lot going on in the broader world built around the story, and although I appreciate the focus on their love-story, I think better development of the world and life around them could have served to deepen the character development into truly unforgettable moments and more unique personalities.
Overall great read and I can't wait to read the next one!

Blurb intrigued me; I love me instalove books but this one fell wayyyyyyy flat and I quit 10% into the book.
First, this book needed a beta read and editing. A few sentences were structured strangely and I had to re-read more than a few times to understand what was going on l.
Second, I shoulda known that I wouldn't be into the book because of the character names. I'm sorry but the capo of the Italian Mafia is named Liam? Yeah right.

This was my first read from Jennifer and I really enjoyed it. It was fast paced read (despite the length), told in duel 1st person pov, good drama, the spice was good, and was well written.
I love reading when the MMC sees her and she becomes an instant obsession.
All the characters were easy to love and I'm really excited to read about more Rizzolis!

3.75 stars! I could tell which direction the author wanted this story to go, the writing itself fell a little flat for me, it almost felt a little too formal. Butttt I will still finish the series bc I think I need to know Cross’s story.

I enjoyed this read thoroughly it is not a slow burn by any means, it is spicy, Mafia romance, not dark though keep in mind being Mafia there are a bit of Mafia things going on.
