I actually really enjoyed this debut novella! The mfc was relatable and not annoying (which is an issue for me I often struggle to truly love the mfc!). Orion was interesting from the get go...and the spice be definitely spicing! Really enjoyed their er...encounters! More coming later so interested to find out the details of her past and see where things go!

I loved this, Reagan and Orion are great characters. I love how bad ass and strong she is. I also love both spicy scenes....the first is like a dream, I just love the domination. the 2nd well, I found it pretty beautiful and symbolic! I need more, this felt like a slightly longer novella and I need a long, full length version. or book 2 will do! Hurry up Violet, I loved this! Also, bad guy should of had a more gruesome end but also really glad no help was needed. Once you read it, you will understand!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy of this one, and I really liked it! This book was a fast paced romance with an obsessed MMC and a damaged FMC, and they really made you fall in love with the characters and their backgrounds! The spicy scenes were top notch 🔥 Thank you to Violet Rose and Wings & Words for this one!

When the Content Warning begins with, "I will warn you, while this book is small, it packs a punch." Heed the warning because my initial reaction was, "Damn, that escalated fast." and is hotter than spicy.
Violet Rose is not one for a slow burn or fluff. Her characters are damaged with the scars to prove it. Their desires and backstories may be dark, but her main characters hearts are not. Reagan is the perfect example of this. She is a phoenix, and Orion will help her burn burn it all down to keep her safe. Reagan is a reporter on assignment when Orion sees her and has to have her, but someone else has their own plans.
You don't come here for a palate cleanser. You come for ideas. I can't wait to watch their story continue to unfold.

This was a book I didn’t know I needed to read! Short but packs a serious punch that definitely leaves you wanting more. This is a dark romance so check the triggers.
Orion and Reagan have great chemistry, it feels raw and passionate.
Reagan is such a strong woman, a hard past but is still so determined to not let it have a hold over her.
Orion is a man that knows what he wants and that’s certainly Reagan, he knows it from the moment he meets her and nothing is coming between him and his ace.
I can’t wait to read more from Violet Rose and I definitely can’t wait to read book 2!

Written in the Scars by Violet Rose absolutely blew me away. I went in expecting a dark romance with some grit, but what I found was so much more—Reagan and Orion completely consumed me. Their chemistry is raw, electric, and addictive, the kind of connection that seeps into your skin and stays with you long after you’ve finished reading.
Reagan’s strength and vulnerability made her such a compelling heroine—I felt every ounce of her pain and every flicker of her hope. And Orion? He’s the perfect balance of protective, brooding, and deeply devoted. His vow to save her no matter what made my heart ache in the best way.
Violet Rose writes these characters with such intensity that I felt like I was living their story right alongside them. I am completely obsessed—this book wrecked me, healed me, and left me desperate for more. I cannot wait for the second instalment in The Damaged Souls series!

Ahhh, Written in the scars is a short but sweet dark romance that packs a punch. I got so invested in Reagan & Orions relationship i didn't want the book to end! I need more!
and who doesn't love a female character that isn't a princess that needs rescuing every 5 minutes. plus the added spice.

I will warn you from the very beginning, while this book may be small, it packs a punch. There is so much in this one. It was fast paced and honestly for me felt like when a rollercoaster sets off .. you know the feeling....where it sets off at a bazillion miles an hour from the get go, this book is that ❤️🔥❤️🔥

Ok! It’s 3am …. Which means I couldn’t put this book down! Violet Rose you have done it again!
I loved your last book I read, but this one out did it!!
This book is soooo steamy and I ate it all up.
It follows Reagan (nicknamed Ace) who is working a story as a journalist…. Orion sees her and has to have her so naturally, he stalks her and makes her his! But then something traumatic happens and it throws a spanner in the works! I’m not going to reveal more because that would spoil it, but please check your trigger warnings before you read it!
I love Violet’s writing style, she captures your attention from page one, and doesn’t let you go until you reach the final word on the last page.
You know the book is going to be fantastic when in the declaration you read this … “Now I know some of you, like me, hate a slow burn, sit there begging just like the good girls you are but, this one needs you on your knees.” Once I read that, there was no going back.
You have to read this book if you are a dark romance lover, it’s small but mighty, fierce and spicy, but at the same time very gratifying to read about how Reagan gets through some really bad trauma. Inspirational!

There is action, violence and spice so a fantastic three pointer 😉 Although small this book is fast paced so will definitely grab you by the balls and take you along for the ride, it truly packs a punch. This was exactly what I needed—an electrifying, fast-paced opening with a deliciously intense burn right from the start. Is it just me, or are all the “Orion” characters impossibly hot? 🔥 I’m obsessed with a story where the FMC is a fierce, independent powerhouse who doesn’t wait around—she takes charge. And the MMC? Total king energy, standing strong beside his queen without ever dimming her shine.
The ending was perfect—no cliffhanger, but just enough intrigue to leave you craving more. You know the story isn’t over, and I seriously can’t wait to dive into the next book. Bring it on! 😍📚

Yes! Absolutely Yes! To all you are going to ask. I picked this up as an ARC/Relaunch before Book 2 is released and am I glad I did.
This a short Novella sized book, which is perfect for a quick palette cleanser or break between books, but don’t let this put you off, as you get your start middle and an end but not the end!
A couple of spicy scenes that I wouldn’t say no to.. so again Yes!
If you like your MMC Stalkerish and willing to do anything to protect you and your FMC strong capable with a few hidden truths then Reagan and Orion are the couple for you and this is the book for you.

An absolutely beautiful, powerful, poignant story. Not what I expected when I first started reading this story. It starts off so hard core sexually then transforms into a story of a man in desperate need to find the woman he needs/desires/unknowingly loves. What happens to Reagan is a huge part of the story and a dramatic part. But the change in Orion due to what happens to Reagan is amazing. I think this is what every woman wants their man to do for them whether anything happens to them or not. The complete submission Orion displays for Reagan in the end because that is what she needs, in my opinion, is every woman's dream in some form or another. I can't wait to hear more about these two. A very powerful short story.

Absolutely devoured this novella in one sitting! Written in the Scars is a quick but emotionally gripping read that had me hooked from page one. Reagan and Orion are perfect together….the chemistry between them is undeniable, and Orion’s protective streak… So hot 🔥🔥
The spice level is definitely high, and the intimate scenes are written with heat and passion. The trigger warnings deliver exactly what is written.
My only complaint? It’s too short! I could’ve lived in this world for so much longer. Violet Rose, I need book two ASAP!

Just recieved and finished this Arc read within 24 hours send to me by the wings and words Arc community; and here i am needing to add another to my list of waiting (im)patiently for the next book...😆 It was fast, it was Good; More then good and all i want is more of Reagan and Orion. This book was a very nice and easy read; The spice scene not to much that it takes over the book which i highly appriciate but definitly 🌶🌶🌶 The story itself made me read it in one full go. So if your trophy's are spice, dark romance, stalker-ish lover, stromg FMC and more dominant yet still a soft side MMC, a little thriller and overal a great read?! then i recommend this one.

Fast-paced kickass book - not a huge book (101 pages), but most definitely packs a punch!
From obsession, to seducer, to protector, to empowering, Orion (MMC) shows the reader many layers of himself, whilst Reagan (FMC) gives us attitude, vulnerability, to strength, to seductress all of which are a great combination resulting in an explosive introduction to Orion & Reagan (aka: Ace).
It has a couple smexy scenes that show different dynamics & I feel they add to the story line rather than watering it down. Most definitely a 'one to read' book - Don't forget to read the triggers.

Wow, what an absolute amazing book, I absolutely loved this story it was fantastic. The story had me gripping my blanket and routing for Reagan who is the main fmc she is an amazing woman with strength and a brilliant character. The main mmc Orion is definitely a book boyfriend he is swoon worthy. I absolutely loved how the story ended, violet the author has written a beautiful and wonderful book which she should be so very proud of as I think it is a masterpiece and I loved every single part of it. I would give this book 10 star if I could, I recommend you read the triggers and be prepared for an amazing experience.

The FMC is not a princess, she’s a badass that can sort out her own problems.
The MMC is obsessed with our FMC as soon as he lays eyes on her (and coffee)
Overall a great little read and finished in one sitting. Would have loved a more in depth dive into our FMCs past but I have a feeling this will be explored more in the next book.

my gosh this had me gripped so hard i could barely breathe i consumed this book in a mere few hours the story flows so beautiful and i love how strong the fmc is portrayed. my fave quote would have me to be "i wasn't ready to take her out, i didn't think she was ready to go out. But i wont be her third captor, i'm her protector." this made me swoon love orion and reagan story can not wait to dive into book two. if you havent read this alreasy what are you waiting for????

Violet knows how to build the suspense. I felt it as I kept reading. I didn't put the book down. I finished it the same day I started.

This book has some trigger warnings so check them out before reading.
I do wish this was longer and more detailed as it did feel a little rushed in places, but this was a debut novella, and the ending left room for a book 2.

Really good book. It’s short but packed with so much. Reagan is strong, tough, and a true survivor. You can’t help but like her right away. Orion is mysterious and protective in a way that makes you want to know more about him. The pace is high all the way through, and the author’s writing just keeps you hooked.
