Willow is a wedding planner and now she is the maid of honor for her best friend. She is shy and her weight always makes her uncomfortable around people especially men after her ex made crude remarks when they broke up. She meets the best man Hawk and her whole life changes. Hawk sees Willow and falls instantly for her. He wants Willow forever and will do everything he can to convince her to give him a chance. Instalove, short, fast paced(it's just a day in the story), steamy, OTT, romantic and safe😍😍 I really missed an epilogue , because the story ended quite abruptly. But still a great story😊

The Lumberjack's Obsession is the second book in the Alpha Males Love Curvy Girls series. This story is about Willow and Hawk who meet at a wedding they are both in and end up falling in love themselves. Willow loves love and weddings. So much so that the is a wedding planner and has also been a part of five weddings this year and attended more. This wedding is for her best friend Jessica. Hawk has been best friends with Stephen, the groom, since they were in junior high. But a few years ago he moved from Kansas to Montana to follow his dream of owning a ranch, raising cattle and cultivating the life he had wanted. He has driven back to Kansas to be the Best Man in the wedding, but he was delayed by a snowstorm so he is only arriving in time for the wedding itself. When Willow goes looking for Hawk to work out their duties and such for the wedding she was not expecting to hit a brick wall, which it turns out is just Hawk. Can you say drool-worthy sexy man!

Willow loves weddings so she became a wedding planner. She was part of five weddings last year and has eight weddings to be in this year. Today’s wedding is for her best friend Jessica. Willow is the maid of honor. She is single and has not had a boyfriend in the last three years. However, she is still a hopeless romantic.

Hawk is the best man for Stephan and Jessie’s wedding. He moved to Montana a few years ago. He almost missed the wedding because of a storm but he made it. Willow calms Jessie down by telling her that she will go find Hawk and make sure he is ready to be the best man.

Sparks fly between them from the minute Willow bumps into Hawk. Cute couple.

This was a sweet and spicy, love at first sight novella that would have been rated much higher if it wasn’t for the poor ending. It left loose ends that the MMC had proposed. There wasn’t any type of resolution to even the ending of the evening. How did the evening end? Both MCs were sweet and you couldn’t help but root for them from them. The title doesn’t match the story at all. But my biggest pet peeve is that the FMC focused on her weight way TOO much. If you’re going to write about bigger woman all you need to do is mention it once, maybe in connection to the MMC drooling over her hot as heck full figured body, and then never mention it again. At least that’s what I prefer. Otherwise, the curvy woman trope pisses me off.

This was a beautiful story about Willow and Hawk. Willow is a wedding planner and therefore often goes to weddings. She is a bit tired of being alone at weddings because of her job but never having someone to go with her or to say this is my friend. But when she meets Hawk who is the other witnesses, he might be the one she has been waiting for. Will this be the beginning of their relationship and finally her dream of finally being the bride come true? I enjoyed their story and would definitely recommend it!

When she goes looking for Hawk, the best man, she finds her future. He's everything she wants and he feels the same. One night of passion leads them to a happily ever after. Loved the caring and pampering that Hawk bestows on Willow. If only all men were that devoted....sigh.

I enjoyed the connection and chemistry between Hawk and Willow, I liked seeing them click and how sure Hawk was about them, and how he let Willow know how he felt about her. I personally would have liked to have seen a little bit more of them, to see the choices they made and to see a glimpse of their future as I was enjoying spending time with them.

If you love instalove stories where strong heroes fall hard for their perfect match, this standalone short is for you. I thought it was an enjoyable read. And am voluntarily leaving this review.

Not long enough

That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars I was routing for Willow and her handsome Hawk , dating , her going to ranch...something! Not just dropping out after incredible sex. I need an actual story to go along with that. Up till then it was a great story and I wanted to read more.
