Xander is such an integral character in the Emily Fallon trilogy. I was dying to get his hinted backstory and details about the family before later events unfold. The entire trilogy is so good and this novella is a nice addition.

You can read this first, but I recommend starting with Death Before Dishonor and to get the full Emily Fallon experience. The pacing and tension are so intense! It’s not to be missed if you like military suspense and romance.

We are first introduced to Xander in The Emily Fallon Trilogy. Which you need to go read NOW!!! I immediately liked okay loved Xander and so when I was asked by Madeline to read Xander’s novella is was a no brainer! I love how we get a glimpse of the younger Xander and get to watch his feelings for Em develop. There is just something about Madeline’s writing style that draws you into the story and leaves you always wanting more. Add to cart and TBR 🤍

I enjoyed this one! A really good glimpse into what happened prior to Mike and David Fallon’s deaths, and what trouble Xander got into that brought attention to him in the second book.
