This is a lovely, rhyming story that reminds us about the importance of being connected to the Taiao, Nature. It takes us to the many beautiful natural environments Aotearoa NZ has to offer and includes teachers notes suggesting practical ways to protect the environment.

ILLUSTRATIONS: Beautiful drawings, with so many details that are uniquely Aotearoa NZ. Colours and characters feel right for the messages in the book.

THEMES: NZ theme, nature, conservation, climate change. Resilience, mental and emotional well-being.

Beautiful story about being in and connecting with nature. The illustrations throughout are beautiful. The reflection at the end of the book and the information about things like gardening and composting are, in my opinion, great additions.
