Grauenvoll. Terrible! Ein Porno in Textform. Wie im Porno ohne richtige Story (außer die Story wie die Charakter immer wieder mit einander schlafen könnten) und blasse, charakterlose Protagonisten. Ein schreckliches Buch und ich bin froh kein Cent dafür bezahlt zu haben.

Der erste Satz:
Ich stürme aus dem Arbeitszimmer und knalle die Tür hinter mir zu, die Stimme meines Vaters im Nacken: "Freya, es reicht, komm zurück!", dann lässt die schwere Eichentür alle Geräusche verstummen.
Meine Meinung:
Ich war wirklich sehr gespannt auf dieses Buch, ich hatte ihre "Fire After Dark" Reihe verschlungen und war sehr gespannt auf ihr neustes Werk. So viel kann ich schon jetzt verraten ich wurde nicht enttäuscht!
Freya ist ziemlich verwöhnt und an Luxus gewöhnt. Was sie befiehlt bekommt sie auch und zwar sofort. Jetzt ist ihr gerade in den Sinn gekommen das sie so schnell wie möglich das Chalet in den Alpen verlassen will, der neue charismatische Bodyguard fährt sie. Das alles trotz eines gefährlichen Schneesturms. Als der Wagen aus der vereisten Fahrbahn ins schleudern gerät, gelingt es Miles in letzter Minute Freya zu retten. Sie finden in einer kleinen verlassenen Hütte Schutz vor dem Sturm. Plötzlich ist es Miles der die Befehle gibt und Freya muss sich fügen. Beide fühlen sich voneinander angezogen, beide beginnen eine heiße und leidenschaftliche Affäre und können die Finger nicht voneinander lassen.....
Man beginnt mit dem lesen und ist sofort mitten im Geschehen. Der Schreibstil der Autorin hat es mir einfach angetan, ich kann gar nicht genug davon bekommen! Flüssig und locker zieht sie so den Leser in den Bann der Geschichte.
Die Charaktere sind authentisch und liebevoll beschrieben. Freya macht auf den ersten Blick den Eindruck eine verwöhnte und verzogene Frau zu sein. Doch das täuscht, den wenn man hinter ihre Maske geblickt hat weiß man das dem nicht so ist.
Miles hingegen kommt zu beginn geheimnisvoll und verschlossen rüber, doch auch das legt sich sehr bald.
Die erotischen Szenen in diesem Buch sind gefühlvoll, stilvoll und voller Leidenschaft.
Kurz gesagt dieses Buch hat mir spannende, erotische und prickelnde Lesemomente beschert.
Daher empfehle ich dieses Buch jeden der auch schon die "Fire After Dark" Reihe der Autorin verschlungen hat, aber auch jeder der gerne erotische Bücher liest, muss dieses Buch gelesen haben!

Das Cover ist ein wirklicher Hingucker, dezent und dennoch so aussagekräftig.

Fazit:
Mit "Momente des Verlangens" ist der Autorin ein leidenschaftlicher und prickelnder Roman gelungen der mich von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite fesseln konnte. Daher bekommt dieses Buch von mir volle 5 Sterne. Schon jetzt freue ich mich sehr auf den zweiten Band und kann es kaum erwarten.

Since I've read the blurb of this new novel by Sadie Matthews (btw, I liked very much her After Dark trilogy!), I was very curious to read it.
This is the first of five parts of Season of Desire, first book of the Seasons Quartet and it was a very lovely surprise!
Freya, the female main character, is different from the usual heroines I usually find in other books I read. She isn't the typical gentle, nice and humble girl. It's quite the contrary. She is a spoiled, snobbish and rich young woman who has always had what she wanted easily. Nevertheless, I quite like her because she is a very interesting and intriguing character, and despite her life of luxury she's not so happy as people around her seem to think.
As for Miles Murray, the hero of the story, I'm already captured by him! We don't get to know much about him in this first part but he is very charming, pleasant and sexy! Miles is Freya's current bodyguard and comes from a very different world from her. You would imagine he treats her with deference as the rest of the staff, well, you can't be more wrong! LOL He is very straightforward towards Freya and he doesn't worry about telling her what he truly thinks of her behaviour.
In only few chapters, Sadie was able to create very compelling and exciting situations. I really loved the dialogues, the descriptions of events and places. I really like her writing style because is fluid, descriptive to the right point and captivating.
This first part leaves the reader with the desire to immediately read the sequel and know what will happen between Freya and Miles! Can't wait for it!

I read this book because I liked the After Dark series but I didn't think this one was anywhere near as good. I want to strangle the protagonist! I hate that we hardly know anything about her - I would have preferred that she have a backstory so that we can see where she gets her attitude from but theres nothing - just a pampered princess who gets what she wants. I don't think she has any relatable qualities and I think that she needs to be re-written. The only redeeming factor of this story was Miles, even though we don't know much about him.

I read this book as a fan of Sadie's work already. I loved the After Dark series. This new series is looking set to be fantastic. It will absolutely leave you wanting more. It's impossible not to like these characters. We learn a little about Freya in this first part but almost nothing about Miles. You'll find yourself wanting to know the full extent of her family history that is touched upon and as for Miles you'll want to learn everything about him!

I decided to start readying the Season of Desire series after reading Sadie Matthews After Dark series. I did enjoy the series but found that it was actually really short. I felt like I was just started to get into it then bam it was was done. With that being said I have already started the second book and will continue to read them through the end. Seeing as they are really short it won't take me long to read through them.

Although I didn't really warm to Freya's character, I did however warm to Miles! I almost wanted to jump inside the book and take her place haha. I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the rest of the series.

Sadie Matthews avait signé une trilogie que nous qualifierons de moyenne dans la folie qui avait suivi la publication de Cinquante Nuances de Grey. Marquée par l’idée de domination, nous suivons un couple qui pratiquait un bdsm soft sur le modèle de la fameuse série d’EL James. Elle revient avec cette fois un roman publié en cinq parties qui aura son intégral. Si cela semble être une histoire totalement différente, elle a pourtant clairement des liens avec la précédente, le couple de héros, Beth et Dominic revenant faire des apparitions. Pourtant le début est radicalement différent et bougrement attractif. Mais comme souvent avec cette auteure, c’est très inégal.
Cette fois, le point de départ est une sorte de romance aventure en plein milieu des Alpes. Freya est une jeune héritière, qui s’ennuie terriblement dans le somptueux chalet suisse de son père. Gâtée pourrie, la jeune femme a décidé d’échapper à la monotonie neigeuse en s’envolant pour Los Angeles. Malheureusement, elle a fort mal choisi son moment de départ. Pris dans une tempête de neige, son chauffeur-garde du corps et elle-même ont un accident et se retrouvent égarés dans les montagnes. C’est une sorte d’opération survie qui commence qui va bizarrement se transformer soudain en expérience érotique torride. Toutlel roman souffre un peu de ces ruptures de ton et de problèmes de cohérence. Il est difficile de penser que notre couple plutôt soumis à dure épreuve se lance soudain dans des galipettes que l’on trouve plus souvent dans une chambre confortable. Mais hormis ces agaçants moments, l’histoire ne manque pas de charme et grouille d’idées.
Le roman, sans doute à cause de sa construction en cinq parties a besoin de relancer sans cesse l’action dans des directions différentes. Tout commence dans cette course contre la montre dans la neige où Freya va découvrir celui qu’elle a superbement ignoré jusqu’alors, Miles son garde du corps. Ancien militaire d’origine écossaise, il est nettement plus vieux qu’elle, expérimenté et très excitant pour cette jeune femme à l’histoire plus compliquée qu’il n’y paraît. En effet, derrière l’arrogante jeune femme, habituée au luxe, méprisante et poursuivie par les paparazzi, il y a autre chose qu’une Paris Hilton. Et heureusement !
Ce qui fonctionne moins que l’histoire d’amour et l’ intrigue générale sont paradoxalement les scènes de sexe. Elles tranchent par leur mécanisme, leur aspect très soigné mais sans spontanéité. Pourtant l’idée était bonne : Freya et Miles sont dans une position de maître et valet. Il va finir par lui imposer celle de tuteur à élève. Riche idée qui inverse les perspectives, bouleverse la jeune Freya qui prend lors de ces moments le nom de Winter. Puis ce sera une série d’explorations sexuelles suivant les quatre éléments. Encore une fois, riche idée mais qui donne ces scènes qui laissent assez froides. Il y a peu de bdsm cette fois, cela semblant être bien moins à la mode soudain.
La lecture de ce roman est loin d’être désagréable. Ce qui ressort le plus est le lien qui se créé entre Miles et Freya, la fragilité aussi de la jeune femme sous ses dehors de petite fille riche et malheureuse. Le fait que Miles soit un ami de Dominic , héros de la série précédente ne gâche rien. D’autres personnages font aussi leur apparition et pourraient éventuellement constituer de nouveaux héros. Il ne manque vraiment pas grand chose à Sadie Matthews pour signer des romances parfaites. D’ailleurs pour peu que vous aimiez ces scènes sexuelles qui me laissent assez indifférentes, vous passerez un excellent moment. Laissez-vous tenter !

Sadie Matthews Fire trilogy after Dark I found that very exciting. So I had to buy me moments of devotion is also the band one of their new Triogie Season of desire . I have just put the book down . Freya Hammond is an example of a spoiled rich young woman of seemingly everything is paid in life, everything she orders it gets - sofort.Sie want to leave her father's chalet in the Alps , and so she decides , in spite of a snowstorm , the new bodyguard Miles to the airport to go lassen.Es an accident happens , Miles can not stop the car because of bad weather on the road. Miles may leave the wreck and Freya also befreien.Eine from the wreckage recovery is excluded , then the two must seek refuge in a mountain hut, the no frills birgt.Freya has to admit here if they want to survive , they must be no more commands . 's secluded cabin , the two came for the first time in more detail ... the girl and the bodyguard , which can be a relationship? Miles .... and Freya spend the remainder of the weekend together in a chalet and Miles teaches his student. The owner of the chalet is readers of the Fire of the dark trilogy well known Domenic.Bei a dinner learns Freya also know Beth and Domenic . It came as it had come , Freya's father , a safety fanatic , learned from the newspaper over the weekend his daughter .. Miles is terminated , Miles prefers abzutauchen.Freya once flies to her sister in Paris and there comes the next drumbeat of the press Beth ... and Domenic also have an apartment in Paris, Freya can search there shortly refuge . but is kidnapped by her ex ..... more I would not give more details , so that all avid readers have a little fun in reading.
I liked the book very much especially since this time it was not the rich Lord of love has little "poor " in which, although it to the upper class geht.Wie is here again probably make Freya's life more ? I look forward to Volume 2 , as the story unfolds . Volume 2 is supposed to appear in Germany at the end of 2014 .

Loved it, great to have new characters, but to also have Beth and Dominic from the previous set of books
Enjoyed it so much going straight to the second book of this series
