After Cancer: Thriving with Hope

Rate this book
How do you move forward after cancer reshaped your perspective and changed your relationship with God, friends and family, and even your own body? The challenges of cancer survivorship catch many by surprise as the need for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing continues long after medical treatment ends and supporters step away. Writing with empathy and insight, Marissa Henley shows how God’s Word speaks to the common concerns and unique challenges that cancer survivors face, whatever their stage in the recovery process.

In the 31-Day Devotionals for Life series, biblical counselors and Bible teachers guide you through Scripture passages that speak to specific situations or struggles, helping you to apply God’s Word to your life in practical ways day after day.

Henley's devotional is a breath of encouragement and support for those who have experienced cancer, or any difficult diagnosis. Henley points us to Scripture for spiritual support. She also adds personal history and insight from others who have gone on a cancer journey.

The devotionals are easy to read and filled with helpful tips and thought-provoking questions. I highly recommend Henley's devotional. The pages are filled with hope for the future.

I received an advanced copy from the publisher, but all opinions are my own. As a cancer survivor, I really enjoyed reading this novelette.

Excellent book. Whether you are a cancer survivor or know someone who is a survivor, this book brings hope and encouragement. As a breast cancer survivor, I can relate to the emotions, questions, and statements that the author has shared. This is a great resource for medical offices, too. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.

This devotional book touched on a lot of the experiences I had during and after cancer treatment. Well-written, concise and encouraging. It's a great resource from someone who has been there and understands. It's also a wonderful daily reminder that our Savior is with us when we walk through hard things.
