Landing a year-long assignment to cover NHL star Carter Knox should've been my big break—until I meet the man himself. Cold, guarded, and infuriatingly hot, he shuts me down at every turn with those storm-gray eyes that hide more secrets than I can count.
I'm determined to crack his ice-cold exterior for my story, using every trick in my arsenal. But the deeper I dig, the more I see glimpses of the real man beneath the reputation—vulnerable, haunted, and magnetic in ways that make me forget why I'm really here.
The more walls I break down, the more dangerous this gets. Because falling for him is committing journalism's cardinal sin, and Carter Knox might just be worth throwing away everything I've worked for.
CARTER
Hockey is the only thing that makes sense in my life—no complications, no messy emotions, just the ice beneath my skates and the weight of secrets I've carried for years.
Then Lily Grant crashes into my carefully controlled world with her probing questions, stubborn determination, and a body that makes it impossible to think straight. She wants my story—the one I've buried so deep no one has ever found it.
I should keep her at arm's length. I should remember that journalists destroy everything they touch. But when she looks at me like she sees beyond the mask, I find myself wanting to risk everything I've protected for so long.
Expose on the Ice is the first in a steamy, emotional hockey romance series featuring a brooding player with a dark past, a tenacious journalist who won't take no for an answer, and the sizzling forbidden tension that ignites when professional boundaries blur. With all the heat of enemies-to-lovers and the heart of a redemption story, this romance delivers a guaranteed HEA.
Enemies to lovers. Hockey Romance. Forced proximity. Dark secrets.
Honestly, this book was so amazing. From start to finish, I didn’t want to put it down. I love a smart mouth, confident woman who stands up for what she believes in.
Love a good broody man that has all the walls up and lets them down for one woman. There was a bit of a twist that I thought was a great one to throw into it.
Great, sweet romance. Once the real spice scenes start, great detail for both male and female perspectives. Too many times using folds or nub, but I gives describing a vagina is difficult to do in a sexy way, I dunno 😅😂🤷♀️
Kills his sister DRUNK DRIVING and everyone covers it up and then everyone who finds out years later is also ok with covering it up. And then the public finds out and is ok with it bc he feels guilty??? He should feel guilty because HE IS!!! also their relationship came about so fast and I felt like he got over his trust issue with her just to be betrayed when she wrote an expose and he was fine with it. And back to him being guilty and her being ok with it - WHY would she be willing to give up her career for a guy!!!!! Would give 0⭐️

This frustratingly had promise, our journalist heroine tasked with writing an in-depth article on our grumpy hockey player hero…and that’s about as good as it got. Both characters had about as much substance as a superlative. The plot went from 0-100-0 over and over again. Everything felt like some major dramatic event when let’s be real everyone here just needs therapy!
