November 11, 202411/10/24 so ... honestly I feel bad not rating this book but also I didn't read like a quarter of it or more - and didn't SERIOUSLY start reading it till like halfway through so ...
Man - the story was probably pretty good? But the translator was ... not so good. And worse it was on a really fucking stupid site than randomly "censored" words that made no sense/it was incredibly irritating. So there was that.
Also big misunderstandings and eye roll, but at least it was sexier than your usual cnovel. Just *points at above*
I think had it been on another better site I'd have read from go... maybe. The beginning also was a bit slow?
Nothing too memorable for this all.
I do wish other books heh - well I wish there wasn't censorship. So there's that.
Based on what I read I'd say a solid C-? Will decide if I rate it or not later I guess...

I'm not sure how to evaluate this story.
As a standalone, it's an enjoyable story, with plot points and every issue resolved.
As a mystery story... there's no mystery to solve, not when the story didn't even try to make a diversion or hint otherwise about what was happening.
As a political intrigue story... there's no intrigue either, main characters went on 1 undercover trip and figured out the entire antagonist + their motivation.
As a romance story... both MCs were quite childish in the way they express love (which was personally a bit cringe for me), and at one point I found myself thinking, did the ML fell for the MC because the s*x was just that good? I struggled to remember moments that would had made him fall for her, given that until the point when her identity was discovered she had done nothing but annoy him.
At least when it's time for action, MC was decisive in her actions, which elevated my liking of her as an MC. It's also nice that the MC had other friend(s) she could rely on, and that her world didn't revolve around the ML. Other than that... I don't know what else to recommend about this story.

至於女主林晚卿, 四歲時目睹自家滿門抄斬; 作為倖存者, 立定主意要為含冤慘死的父親平反。由於要伸冤/翻案, 自然要 equip 自己。扮成男子苦讀十年, 博取功名期間亦逐漸對刑獄律法產生興趣, 加上性格機靈又斷案有據, 成功引得大理寺卿的注意並納入麾下。
有人形容這是"強迫症毒舌男vs古靈精怪女"的古言。的確: 一個一板一眼、一個毛毛燥燥。作者筆調輕鬆, 兩人互動, 煞是好看! 每每令我嘴角上揚。 例: 每當卿卿喚一聲"大人", 我們的蘇大人就不禁會全身心都"酥"一下, 繼而陣腳大亂…但仍要竭力維持那正經八百的尊嚴--他就是拿她沒轍!
言情和探案的情節都算鋪排合理(大概2:1罷), 總之順順的不覺突兀。全篇最虐之處當然在林晚卿一直隱瞞/藏其罪臣之女的身份被抖出來, 加上她對蘇陌憶的愛信心不足…導致短暫的分開。
此外, 蘇大人的護衛葉青和林錄事的拜把兄弟林平三都是妙人, 提供不少笑料。更不用說眉精眼企的太后, 她對男主的偏愛, 固然是最強cp粉--令我想起《星漢燦爛》裏的皇帝。不過最出格的角色可算是萊落了。當然還有蘇大人的"分身"傻狗「司獄」!
結尾如果不是梁王造反及蕭家案收得有點草率, 這應是更精彩的小說。
