Rate this book
In the highly anticipated finale of "One Drunk Night In Miami", explosive secrets and raw truths come to light as Jenesis, Dior, and Kane confront battles that will shape their lives forever. Jenesis, once the heartbeat of her circle, faces the ultimate challenge of moving forward after an unimaginable tragedy. Each step forward threatens to change her forever—will she hold onto the warmth and kindness that once defined her, or will this dark journey leave her unrecognizable?

Dior, the daring and resilient survivor, finds herself dangerously entangled with nowhere to turn. She’s used to facing challenges, but this time, the stakes are life or death in a game she didn’t choose to play.

And then there’s Kane. Learning that the woman he’s called “Mom” isn’t his biological mother shatters the foundation he’s built his life on. Standing at a crossroads, he must decide whether to extend a hand of forgiveness or sever the ties for good, risking the family bonds he’s always known.

This finale is a whirlwind of African American romance, unbreakable bonds, and second chances pushed to the edge. "One Drunk Night In Miami 3" by Alecia J closes out with a bang—this is more than hood love; this is top-tier writing that keeps readers emotionally invested with their favorite book baes, in an unputdownable love story you’ll remember long after the final page.

wow!!! this book put me through a huge emotional Rollercoaster but for all the right reasons. Even though I don't agree with how Jenesis and Kelan initially began their relationship, I am happy and how they ended up. I love how much they love each other. Dior and Kane were definitely my favorite couple though. I love Dior's keep it real personality and I love how Kane didn't play when it came to her, had her a completely different woman lol. So glad that Bonnie got her happy ending. Got to say I wish there had been more written about her life because she deserved her happy ever after. I will say, I did not feel bad for Melani at all!!! She brought all that happened down on herself and it's sad that she didn't think to ever put her daughter before everything else. I was happy that Kelan and Kane were able to reconcile because I was hurting for both of them when they weren't cool. All in all, it was a good series and I'm glad to have read from this author considering this was my first time.

I talked a bit of shit about the characters in my reviews for the last two books, but I can’t even lie to y’all. I was somewhat looking forward to this book. I *needed* to know the consequences of Jenesis’ assault by Sincere and Kane learning his mom isn’t his birth mom. The characters still ain’t shit, but I was sat for the beginning.

I was pretty engulfed in Jenesis’ healing journey but once that part of her storyline was pretty much done, I basically skimmed everything else in the book. I did pause and actually read through the reconciliation between Kane, Kelan and Jewelynn, Dior’s kidnap, and Melani and Sincere’s demises, but I didn’t care about everything else…even the epilogue. Like I said the characters aren’t shit so I didn’t really care. Also the writing style was a bit off putting. There was a lot of repetition and reiteration, and that annoys me.

However, in all this mess, I will say I really liked the ending to Kane and Bonnie’s time together. I thought it was a very mature conversation, especially since Kane is childish af. I think Bonnie is the only character I wholeheartedly liked in this series. I liked Dior too but there were some things Dior did and/or let slide that made me frown at her.

MORE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE CHARACTERS:

* As much as I like Bonnie, sis didn’t need her own POV storyline. Hell, Bryson didn’t either
* Kane immediately pissed me off in the beginning, especially when he showed up to Dior’s house
* Dior admitted to murder way too easily for me
* Everybody (mostly Kelan) disclosing what happened to Jenesis to other people instead of letting Jenesis do so on her own time kinda rubbed me the wrong way
* Every time I started to come around to Kane (because that 🥷🏾 funny), he’d do or say something stupid😒 Example: I couldn’t even fully enjoy him rescuing Dior because he revealed he trapped her with the pregnancy
* Since book 1 I thought it made more sense for Emmy to be named Kelani (or some variation) instead of Emmy because of her parents’ names. Like I understand the new baby is named after her dad or whatever but still

Must Read!!!!!

There's so much to unpack in this story. I understand Jenesis was hurt , angry, and traumatized by what Sincere did to her but even she knew she was wrong for taking it out on Dior. Kalen did what some men probably didn't have the time, strength, and patience to do. Kalen stuck by Jenesis after her rape and made sure she was protected physically and mentally. He didn't allow Jenesis to push him away. He stood firm by his woman and became the peace she needed while she navigated the complexities and trying to rebuild herself after Sincere violated her. Everything Jenesis grandmother told her when she first started dealing with Kalen knowing Melanie was still with him came true. True enough Melanie was at fault for the demise of her and Kalen relationship. However they were still together when him and Jenesis started to give in to their feelings. Melanie was a scorned and bitter woman even after Kalen ended their relationship. She should've been focused on co-parenting with Kalen for the sake of their daughter but being delusional. Melanie tried everything she could to start up drama between Kalen and Jenesis. Going as far as getting Jenesis fired and drugging Kalen. Miracle was sick of Melanie ass. As a good friend. Miracle did try to tell Melanie to leave Kalen and Jenesis alone. Miracle knew she had to end her friendship with her once Kalen and Kane showed up at her house looking for Melanie after she did that foul s**t to Kalen. Darlene was one of those coworkers who was a jealous hater and hated to see anyone else good at their job. Jenesis never did anything to her and barely said two word's to Darlene. It was crazy how she tried her best to paint Jenesis in a negative light. Darlene should've been worried about her own skeletons with her scheming and thieving ass. Had she been. She would've saw her karma was coming. I was glad Bonnie and Kane ended their relationship. It seemed forced and neither of them were truly happy. That was the most respectful adult break-up I've ever witnessed. One of the most humble times I've saw Kane be. Bonnie knew Dior had Kane heart because her ex Elias had her heart. I was curious on why she didn't tell Kane the truth about why she was really going back to Belize. After the blow up between Kane, Kalen, and Jewelynn. I felt sorry for Kane because the bond between him, his brother, and mother was broken. However I was glad that Kane finally calmed down and was able to learn the full truth about his biological mother. Hell I was shocked when Jewelynn told him and Kalen the truth. One thing I can say about Jewelynn. You'll never know she wasn't Kane biological mother if she never felt the need to tell the truth. She love Kane the same as the love Kalen. Dior had every right to be cautious of Jace. Especially after what happened to his brother Gavin. She should've went with her gut because it seems after all Jace did know who was responsible for Gavin death. Stephan have to be a complete dummy to not only rob Kane but be in on the plan to kidnap Dior. Stephan know how crazy and sadistic Kane is. Even with being kidnapped. Dior didn't give a damn. I was laughing hard as hell when she was talking s**t to Jace, Stephan, Tavaris, and Myiesha dumb ass. Kane played no games when it came to Dior. The fact the four dummies didn't at least try to run when Kane found Dior location had me scratching my head. They dumb ass stood there. One thing for sure. Dior and Kane definitely belong together. Both of them are crazy as hell. Tiece was just a funky ass mess. She had to be dumb allow Sincere to talk her into helping him. Andrea was dumb too to allow Sincere to use her. She had no reason to be mad at Kalen because she got fired for a damn good reason. Melanie messed up telling Sincere about who actually sent him to jail. She put herself and her father in harm's way. The way Sincere was torchered was unnecessary because that evil ass dude survived it. They were better off going with the plan Bryson told Kalen.

ok

Whew, I'm honestly sad because the main, if not the only reason I read this part was to see Bryson and isis unfold. I feel as if the author attempted to bring some sadness to the kane and Bonnie situation and it honestly did nothing for me and I'm a HUGE crybaby. We had no insight into their relationship so the moment by the pool was truly unnecessary. There were also discrepancies such as bonnie telling dior that she confronted kane and he didn't deny it. Also there were times where povs were crossed like Jenisis was talking to kelan but the response was from kelan's pov???? Still to the end I did not like jenesis still to the end there was no accountability on her part. I was not to keen on kane...until he came to the rescue. I felt like he acted more like a Lil boy than the boss he was supposed to be. The scene with the mom walking in on them was still cringe and a sad excuse because why even attempted to open the door when you heard them? I found it funny how Miracle wanted to be drama free all of a sudden, but I guess 2 mean bombarding your home will do that. All in all the story didn't flow for me and maybe this is just an author reader relationship I'll have to bypass being that this is the second read

❤️🔥🔥🔥❤️

The series was soo good didnt want to put it dwn it kept u on the edge wanting more wondering what was coming next. Dior was crazy, cool one she was on her stuff. Her and Kane had a crazy, I jus wish they had got it together a lot sooner and he was upfront. Jenesis was smart and woman about her business. She went through but she didnt look like what she went through and came out on top.
Kelen was the man even though he should of broke things off with that trifling bm she was all kinds silly, childish and jus down right dellusional. She needed help fr.
Hopefully wont take too long for the cousin to get himself together and get his family back. Can't want read that series or spin off about the gang!

😍😍😍😍

I loved the series sad it ended. Hopefully we get a spinoff with Bryson and Imani. I was so sad when the ended of book ended with Jenesis getting hurt like that and book 3 picked back up on her navigating that trauma but I was glad to see she healed and let the hurt go. I think all those that got unalived deserved it and I was happy they got Sincere ass because he was doing the most but I will say I do feel bad he had to spend 5 years in prison on some BS. I’m happy Jen and Kelan, Dior and Kane, Isla and Lance, Serenity and Meer got they HEA and hopefully India get hers too.

Another Alecia J Banga! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sincere really thought he was untouchable smh he should have done more research on Kelan and Kane & not underestimated Jenesis. Stephan let his envy lead him astray. Bonnie is a real one! She embodied how a lady leaves a relationship that no longer serves her. Dior and Kane belong together they're both special 🤣. Kelan and Jenesis showed out in this book. They had a Bonnie and Clyde vibe with their revenge (which I loved btw) Tiece and that smelly thang should have went to the doctor instead of minding business that was not hers. I can't wait for Bryson and Imani's story!

Kelan and Jenesis, When Love Unexpectedly Finds You

I was sooooo happy that Sincere did not just go away so easy!!!…He deserved everything he got!!!…
Kane and Dior kept me laughing and I truly enjoyed them together!!!…They definitely deserved each other and was a prefect for!!!…
Kelan and Jenesis relationship was so calming and affectionate!!!…I loved how understanding he was after learning what she went through at the hands of Sincere!!!…
It’s crazy how eager Myeisha was to get cocky with Dior, but lost that energy when Kane and his crew showed up!!!…
This was such a great read and I enjoyed it from the beginning of the 1st book to the last page of the 3rd book!!!…

🔥🔥Mind blowing

Now that was a finally. Melanie I somewhat felt sorry for her because even though she needed to be taught a lesson I was just happy her karma didn't come by the hands of her baby daddy. Everyone that dealt out pain or destruction to the crew got exactly what they all deserved. Dior and Kane were made for each other hands down, happy Bonnie got her happiness and she did the right thing by not telling Kane the other reason she wanted to end things. Glad Bryson admitted/realized he needed help to work through the hurt that was caused by his ex hoping in the spin he and Imani find their way back.

Modern Day Romance

I must say this was a good story. I’m not usually in favor of the other woman slipping in to take a man, but this wasn’t that. Kelan should have left Melani long ago in stead of staying for the child, who was just as miserable as him. Jenisis is a good woman and was the perfect woman for Kelan. This story goes wrong with this modern day dark romance. I just don’t understand how you can spin torture, and murder in a romance novel. This was just a bit too much at the end. I won’t ruin it for you if you like the disregard for human life. But this is supposed to be about love and maybe a little drama. Expect LOTS of drama!

Rollercoaster

Thus has been one hectic ride. Like from.stalkers, haters and jealous people. I hated what she and Dior had to endure mostly her since she was raped. I hate reading about that since it is a touching sub next for me ad a victim bug what I do love is how supportive kelan was and how hard he went for her. Some could've been still be alive if it wasn't for jealousy and not moving on. Hope we get an update for Christmas would love to read about the move to Miami and the babies

Loved It

The finale was soooo good! The series will keep you turning the pages and awaiting the outcome! Kelan and Jenesis were truly meant to be together, just as Kane and Dior! Kelan and Kane, those Masters brother were whew child were charismatic in their own way and they loved hard! Dior was definitely meant for Kane, who else could deal with him. Now Kelan was patient with Jenesis, but determined at the same time. Their love for one another prevail as they had so many forces against them, especially Dior! I enjoyed the epilogue.

Whew chile! This was one helluva rollercoaster ride from beginning to end and I kinda loved it… Dior is that girl ten toes down and funny as hell I loved her. I’m so glad that Jenesis and Kelan got there happily ever after they both deserved it after everything. Those who needed to get handled and that’s that. I loved Dior and Kane because hunny they were a match. I can’t wait for Brandon and Dior’s story so I can catch up with the gang… Well what happened in Miami didn’t stay in Miami but ended up in Miami so all is well… I can’t wait for what’s next

a must read

This was a great read. This conclusion answers all of your lingering questions. Alecia left no stone unturned. So grab your popcorn and wine. Sit back and enjoy this emotional roller coaster. The “Gem Dropper” has dropped some nuggets into this work as usual. Don’t miss them.
So if you are looking for a book with adventure, friendship, love and trials then this is the book for you.

great read

Ohhhh I loved everything about the Master’s brothers they are just it. Jenesis and Dior are my girls even though many times Jenesis got in my nerves with some of her antics and naivety but all in all this was a great series. My hope is another series in the making bcz Kane and Dior are owed that much.. I’d even go so far to say so does Bryson. Who knows but I’ll keep hope.
Happy reading

Whew Child

That damn Kane and Kelan. We know there will never be a dull moment around them two. I don't know why them folks thought they could play in their faces and survive. That had to be the dumbest thing they ever could've done. Great read. My first series reading after over a year. Due to losing my special person who introduced me to reading in the first place. It was very hard picking up a book afterwards. Hopefully I'm on the mend of healing!!!!

Good Love Story but Some Parts Felt Forced

The love story definitely carried the series for me, but some of the bigger plot points had me side-eyeing a bit because they felt too far-fetched for the tone of the books, A few twists and character decisions came across like they were added just to close loops rather than being naturally built into the story. I still enjoyed the romance, but some of the drama and reveals could have been thought out, written to land much better.

Great ending

What a series! I don’t think I’ve ever anticipated the release of book as much as this one. Ms. Alecia J definitely tied this up well. I was annoyed with both Dior and Jenesis, ignoring red flags and feelings. In the end it all worked out. And Melani…smh! That girl couldn’t let well enough alone. Can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next.

Although I'm sad that I'm done reading this series I'm glad I had the opportunity to read it. This series took me thru so many emotions but in the end love always ends. I do not think punishment was harsh enough in the end but karma came back STRONG! you outdid yourself with this series

Whew!!😥

I thoroughly enjoyed this entire series ! I love unhinged men in books that would have me running a country mile in real life !! Kelan and Kane definitely are unhinged!! Book 3 continued with the drama, the shock, and romance. This series is definitely a ride that takes you on journey away from your own life and responsibilities. Such a great read!!

Silence

Quietness to think of the pros and cons processing the journey from all that happened is necessary even if shutting out love ones that will even make relationships stronger or weaker.

Alecia view on loyalty from friends, family and significant others is genuine on what we should all value in life.

Great Series!

Oh I am so going to miss Jenesis, Dior, Kelan, and Kane. I loved this series so much. I love how it all came together. I started to feel a type of way at the change in sweet little Jenesis but honey was strong. She overcame her struggle AND got the last laugh. Ugh I’m going to miss them. I absolutely loved all 3 books. Alecia did it AGAIN

Love

These couples were funny, especially Kane and Dior. I’m glad Bryson got some counseling for his issue. Maybe he and Imani can fix things in the future. Sincerely, Melanie, Tiece, and Myeishia all got their karma. People need to really be careful how the treat others. Good series.

Great love story

This book was really good, I was so excited to read book 3 to find out how Cain would take the news from his mom. Through all of the ups and downs Dior got her man and so did her bestie. I hate that Byron and Issa didn’t work it out but I loved how this book touches on mental illness and anger management. Great read, great author

perfect conclusion

Book 3 was the perfect conclusion to this series! All the twists, turns, and unanswered questions came together seamlessly. The drama, revelations, and emotional moments kept me hooked until the very last page. It’s bittersweet to see the story end, but it wrapped up in such a satisfying way. A fantastic finale!
