There’s a reason I hate the holidays, but nothing could’ve prepared me for the literal nightmare of flying three thousand miles in the middle of December.
When my coworker gets the flu, I reluctantly volunteer to take their assignment to write a piece on Vermont’s most famous Christmas small town.
After a delayed flight and driving through a blizzard in a minivan to a mountain cabin in the middle of nowhere, I find myself mixed up in a rental scam.
It’s bad enough the owner walks into my room naked and accuses me of breaking in, but then he tells me all the roads into town are closed. Even if I could leave, all the hotels are booked with tourists for the winter festival.
Even worse, his house is decorated like the North Pole.
Like I said, a nightmare.
The only perk about being snowed in with a lumberjack is that he’s accustomed to the cold and lets me steal his body heat in the middle of the night.
But then that turns into more, and even when I try to resist, I can’t help getting attached. It’ll never work out because we live on opposite sides of the country and have nothing in common.
Except, maybe we do…

I absolutely loved being back in Maplewood Falls and checking in with Oakley and Finn and getting to know Fallon and Levi was such a treat. From their first meeting I loved both of them and could not wait to see them fall hard for each other! Fallon being the one who hates Christmas and Levi being so holly jolly was fun and adorable and the town was the ideal setting for their wintery, cozy and spicy romance. Watching Fallon open up with Levi’s gentle guidance was beyond sweet and the epilogues were everything, loved it!

To dive back into this world, perfect for winter/holiday vibes. There’s something so sweet and lovable about Brooke Fox’s characters especially the fierce loyalty of the men.
Fallon Joy booked a reservation for a small and quiet cabin so she can write an article about the town in Vermont Maplewood Falls so see what all the fuss is about.
About that. She fell into a scam so when the owner of the cabin walks in naked.. Fallon freaks and maces the guy. The cabin was never for rent.
Levi White was shocked seeing a woman in his home in the middle of blizzard. Shes an absolute grump, hates the holidays, his dog, and all his Christmas decor. The guy runs a Christmas tree business with his family. They ARE Christmas.

This was a heartwarming and sweet romance that is perfect for the holidays. This was a cozy read with a funny meet-cute and some amazing banter.
Fallon is in Maplewood Falls to write a piece about all the cute Christmas festivities that this town is known for. Unfortunately, there is a mix-up with her cabin rental, and she runs into the very naked owner, Levi. They get snowed in together, and he lets her stay with him during the holidays because the town is booked solid with tourists. Fallon hates Christmas due to a tragic event in her past, and Levi loves everything about Christmas. He introduces her to his family, who owns a Christmas tree farm and starts showing her how amazing this small town is.
I thought this was such an adorable holiday, opposites attract, reverse grumpy sunshine romance. Levi shows Fallon the positive side of Christmas, and they start to really fall for each other. They had such great chemistry, and I loved their banter. The only complication is that Fallon is leaving after her assignment.

This audiobook was so well done, and I listened to it in one sitting. It is narrated by Aiden Snow and Andi Arndt, who are two of my favorite narrators. They brought the banter, sweetness, and the heat during the spicy scenes. I definitely recommend it!

Personally did not enjoy this one 😭 it’s reverse grumpy sunshine BUT the FMC doesn’t feel grumpy she feels INSUFFERABLE. I was not a fan of the chemistry (or lack there of) between the characters, and just overall did not have a great time with this one 🫠

This was such a fun, quick and cozy read but it also had me swooning and laughing out loud! I loved the reverse grumpy sunshine trope here! It’s so often we see the MMC grumpy about Christmas and being a downright Scrooge! I loved seeing Levi try to get Fallon on board with the festivities! It was so sweet! I get why she disliked the holiday season, but so glad things turned out the way they did ❤️
The banter between these two was perfect and once again Brooke has a way to suck you in and use such great imagery to get you right into the spirit! The small town Christmas festivities were so cute and fun! I wanted to join in!
Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow did a phenomenal job with this production! Aiden’s voice was the perfect one to bring Caleb’s tough lumberjack character to life! Andi was the most amazing Fallon! I listened at 3x speed (I know, I blame the ADHD) and it was still easy to follow along with and was very clear quality!

This was a great holiday read. Brooke Fox captured the Christmas atmosphere beautifully. 𝐌𝐲 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐲 is a warm, witty, cozy, and spicy seasonal romance. I loved it! The whole premise is enticing. A mix up that leads to the cutest meet cute, they get snowed in together, he loves Christmas and she hates Christmas, and the MMC actively trying to make her fall in love with his small town while showing her the magic of Christmas. Obsessed. Levi + Fallon are the most adorable little opposites to ever exist. A perfect holiday read with the sweetest and most satisfying bonus scene. My heart is happy!

Gorgeous festive fun.
I loved this! Fallon and Levi made absolute magic together. Salty, sweet and steamy - a match made in heaven. Levi was gorgeous - kind, sweet, swoony, with the perfect touch of dirty talking alpha, who saw beyond Fallon's snark and sass to the vulnerable and sweet woman within. It was an absolute joy to be back in Maplewood Falls, and I loved visiting with Finn and Oakley and all the other characters in this gorgeous town. If you haven't yet read 'Falling for Finn', this is an absolute must. Brooke has packed so much humour, heart and heat into this beautiful book that you will find Fallon and Levi's grumpy/sunshine holiday romance the perfect read for getting in the mood... for Christmas.

levi and fallon were a match made in grumpy x sunshine-heaven!! their chemistry was off the charts from the beginning, and levi had the best golden retriever energy. i’m so obsessed with men written by brooke fox/montgomery 🫠
i’m always a sucker for a grumpy fictional man, but a black cat/grumpy fmc just hits different, i swear. fallon hated the holidays and levi was pretty much her polar opposite with his jolly disposition and love for christmas. this had some of the best banter, both playful and flirty, and the vibes were ✨immaculate ✨
my greatest joy was such a fun and bingeable read, and perfect for a cozy night in by the fireplace ❤️

This was a really fun holiday read! We’re back again in Maplewood Falls but it’s winter this time. Fallon and Levi have such a fun dynamic, their banter really made me laugh. Fallon is a bit of a grump, a city girl, and is stuck in what she thought was a holiday cabin rental. Levi is a lumberjack-y, small town, mountain boy with all the holiday joy and this clashes in the best ways.
As with the other book, the romance moves quickly due to the limited timing circumstances that Fallon is there under but even within that the romance grows in a believable way.
I really enjoyed Fallon’s personal arc throughout this book, she has her reasons for why she is how she is, and how lovely Levi was with that as well.
There are open-door scenes that bring the heat to this wintery story!
All in all a heart warming and sexy holiday read - definitely recommend for the holiday mood!

As with the other book, the romance moves quickly due to the limited timing circumstances that Fallon is there under but even within that the romance grows in a believable way.

She def isn't going to fall for a to happy Christmas obsessed man.. A little forced proximity, and a lot of right place, right time- they end up not being able to resist.
I always love the books Brooke writes. This one is no different. Do yourself a favor and give this series a try!

Head over heels for Levi
I absolutely loved Levi!!
I went weak at the knees every time he said "my love."
I laughed so much at the banter between Levi and Fallon.
Fallon hates Christmas and Levi loves the holiday (it is his career).
I love how Levi was determined to show Fallon how wonderful the holiday is and how their town is even better, so she can write an amazing article about his small town.
Fallon was determined not to get close to Levi, because of her past relationship, she was also trying to see the town for what it was despite her not liking the Christmas holiday.
I loved this book so much that I wish there were more, but it ended so perfectly for me!

This was such a delightful holiday story, kicking off with forced proximity thanks to a rental scam and a snowstorm. Fallon and Levi may be complete opposites, but I loved Levi's unwavering determination to bring the joy of Christmas back into her life.
Levi works on his family's Christmas tree farm, and his dog, Dasher, absolutely steals the show. Meanwhile, Fallon, a journalist nicknamed The Grinch by those who know her, wants nothing to do with the holidays--making her immersion in all things Christmas all the more entertaining.

This was such a delightful holiday story, kicking off with forced proximity thanks to a rental scam and a snowstorm. Fallon and Levi may be complete opposites, but I loved Levi's unwavering determination to bring the joy of Christmas back into her life.
Levi works on his family's Christmas tree farm, and his dog, Dasher, absolutely steals the show. Meanwhile, Fallon, a journalist nicknamed The Grinch by those who know her, wants nothing to do with the holidays--making her immersion in all things Christmas all the more entertaining.

This is the second book in the Maplewood Falls series and my second read by this author, and I am truly enjoying both. The story revolves around a delightful small-town Christmas tree farm boy and a rigid city girl, a journalist in town to write an article on the town who despises Christmas. She was tricked into booking a stay at his personal home through a vacation rental site, and now they find themselves snowed in together. Eventually, he offers her a tour of the town and its holiday celebrations for her article, and as the story unfolds, one thing leads to another and they cant keep their hands off one another.

Brooke Fox does it again!!! I loved loved loved this town the characters, I am ready for Christmas now. I really loved Levi who lives and breathes for Christmas and Fallon who is the Grinch at first. I loved watching Fallon fall in love with Maplewood Falls, even though she didn't want to at first. Their chemistry was undeniable, the spice was so good too.

Love being back in Maplewood Falls, now with a Christmas-themed story. Holiday lover and lumberjack Levi is a top-tier book boyfriend! And the Grinch FMC who dislikes Christmas, Fallon, is in Vermont writing an article on the Christmas town and finds herself staying with Levi, in his North Pole decorated home. Love the banter and growth between these two!

quick & easy holiday romance. nothing to write home about and honestly not a whole lot of depth. felt a little rushed & predictable but i needed a palette cleanser; so this entertained me for what it was.
didn’t enjoy this as much as Falling for Finn, but it was fun to go back to Maplewood Falls & getting to see Oakley & Finn make appearances.

The perfect book boyfriend! Levi is gorgeous from the beginning and he sets out to ungrinch Fallon. There are heartbreaking reasons for her dislike of Christmas but she is in the wrong town for that to continue. Lovely seeing Finn and Oakley as well.

Brooke absolutely does small town romances the best!! And the fact that this one was reverse grumpy sunshine drew me right in!!
Levi was the perfect golden retriever of a man with the most filthy mouth! I loved the christmas aspect of it!!! I loved how fiesty and grumpy Fallon was. She went back and forth with Levi with such tenacity. I loved the relationship Fallon had with Dasher, she went from wanting nothing to do with him to becoming so loving with him. This gave all the holiday feels! That being said I just thought it was alittle rushed but I still enjoyed it!!
