This is the book 2 in the Forever Summer series. I was eager to learn about our MFC, Oli! She is mentioned a lot in the first book but we never got to meet her and only knew some stuff she’s been through because she is Eli’s (first books MMC) twin sister. We’ve meet sweet and caring bassist last book and got hints of his feelings for the MFC. And we also get to dive into the brain of our fun and bubbly drummer, Killian. Love his character/personality so much!

Forbidden Love is an utterly compelling read. It is the second book in the Forever Summer series and if I thought book 1 was spicy and mysterious - then book 2 has ramped that up to a thousand plus.
We follow Oli (Olivia) and her trauma, of which she's trying to unpack and move on from. The push and pull of want, need and despair is done so well, and when we add in Asher and Killian's dynamic (her twin brothers best friends and bandmates) - it's explosive.
Killian's been in love with his best friend Asher since high school, Asher has been in love with Oli just as long, and Oli's complicated past with Asher's brother makes this forbidden love story absolutely delicious when it all comes together.
This is not a book of gratuitous threesome sex scenes (though those are spicy hot) but about falling in love, of healing, of discovering things about the others that surprises and creates a three-way bond that's unbreakable.
Add in the element of Oli's past, the underlying storyline of her missing father and the terrible people he'd been tangled up with that could threaten everything.. including her life - then you have an amazingly complex and gripping story that you can't put down until it's finished.

Holy Moly.
I loved Eli & Bea but I absolutely fell head over heels for Oli, Kill & Ash.
The love between all the characters in these books is nothing short of found family. The twins have gone through some pretty horrific things and if you read the first book some things have followed through. Even though they're interconnected standalones, I strongly suggest reading them in order.
Oli goes through something very traumatic and feels like she can't trust anyone (not even Eli) so really only trust Callie (bestie) she confides in Kill about her traumas and his an incredible support for her. The tension in this book is through the roof. Ash struggles with his feelings for a while but then realises his hopelessly in love with them both. Every character is so supportive.
I can't wait for Wyatt's book!!

Holy shit stayed up till 2am finishing this book and it was so worth it! The plot was amazing! The spice was superb and the relationship was perfect!

Oli has been through a lot, she's been cheated on, lost a pregnancy and a part of herself too. After running away for awhile to heal with her best friend it's finally time to come home. Will she ever feel ready to tell her family and friends what happened, will she be able to open her heart to love again and why is it that it's not just one but two men that she's crushing on.
Getting a new job with her brothers band brings her even closer to his best friends, one of whom is also her exs brother. In the close high adrenaline environment of being on tour the heat gets turned up and it seems like maybe the two men she wants might want her too.
This book is so well written, it's paced quick enough to keep interest peaked whilst still building up a fantastic amount of tension between the MCs before that 'a-ha!' moment. There are MM spice scenes that are super steamy but the MMF scenes are blush worthy. A perfect balance of suspense, drama, romance, rockstars, action and spice.
There are quite a few triggers in this book so make sure to check them out before reading.

This book was beautifully done as always with Jl Skye. Everything that happens,the suspense,the spice,the romance and everything in between was amazing but this wasn't just a book about MFM it was a book about trauma, healing, love and the unbreakable bonds between three people that loved each other.
But we cannot forget the spice! It was top tier hot🥵 Those MM scenes were spice as all hell and the MFM still had me blushing.
Highly recommended any of Jl Skye's books.
