works great as an art book, but some of the information provided within is riddled with typos and many errors about middle-earth. often sentences were just several fragments tacked together with no solid thought. even the map provided as artwork discredits some of the information the writer presents here. several times it seems that terms like names and places were confused with others through simple mistake. whoever edited this, i recommend fact-checking with the lore before publishing. even if the author is a reported tolkien “expert.” this was crazy to read, but the artwork was PHENOMENAL!

Well that was a nice read. Not as info-packed as the Star Wars Visual Dictionaries, it’s a nice all-ages primer for The War of the Rohirrim and has some nice artwork. Definitely looking forward to the full art book though.

I enjoyed the art and the context. It would be more valuable for those that haven't already read all of the supporting materials.
