The Last M'sazi
The Kingdom enjoyed peace and prosperity for many years with its lands stretching between the mountains and waters to the Ironwood Forest of the M'sazi, a mysterious redheaded people. The villagers awoke to the night sky alight from the fire raging in the Ironwood Forest. Far from the village, the miller's wife could not anticipate, that by taking in an infant girl, she was now raising the sole survivor of this once great race.
And closer to the town, within the monastic brotherhood, the guardians of wisdom, there is a growing evil. During this time even the Brotherhood is under assault from without and within. An epic fantasy novel that follows a young girl, the sole survivor of a massacre against her "not well understood" people. She must join the fight to save her kingdom from evil. The author masterfully weaves the lives of the characters together, revealing their intertwined fates. They all have a part to play but will it be enough?
I love the way the author brings the characters together in the most unexpected way. She keeps you guessing throughout the book. Love the strong female characters and how they overcome what life throws at them. Really enjoyed this novel and can’t wait to read more from this author.
