I love devotionals and when I heard about Treasures of the Wise: 30 Devotions For Storing Up Heavenly Riches by Tracy L. Smoak, I jumped at the chance to read it! In Treasures of the Wise, Ms. Smoak, an avid coin collector and Jesus Follower, combines two of her favorite things into 30 uplifting devotion entries. Each concise devotion entry has a picture that goes along with that day’s devotion, a quote, thoughts that expound on that day’s devotion entry, a closing Bible Verse, and a prayer.

I loved Treasures of the Wise: 30 Devotions For Storing Up Heavenly Riches by Tracy L. Smoak! What drew me to Treasures of the Wise is that it was a devotional that looked at coins from a Biblical perspective and I was intrigued. I also thought that writing a devotional centered around coins from around the world was very creative because I don’t usually see a devotional like this. I loved using Treasures of the Wise as part of my Personal Devotional Time and it Ministered to me. I loved the Wisdom that Ms. Smoak gleaned from the coins and the Godly Wisdom God gave her through them. I enjoyed learning about the different coins. I love the life experiences and memories from the coins that Ms. Smoak shared in the devotional. I also like the variety of pictures and coins that Ms. Smoak uses for her devotion entries. I thought each devotion entry flowed well and that the photos complimented the coins and writings well too. If you are looking for a unique and encouraging devotional to use as part of your devotional time, I highly recommend Treasures of the Wise: 30 Devotions For Storing Up Heavenly Riches by Tracy L. Smoak!

A beautiful book of devotions that will encourage you on your walk with God. The pictures are breathtaking as we explore different scriptures and treasures that God has for us. I loved exploring the different coins the author has that she collected on her journey. The devotions are short and easy to read.

As I turned each page, I was welcomed by beauty through pictures that show God’s creation. One chapter talked about trying to please others. We all want to be liked by others. Sometimes we do things that we think will get people to like us. I liked how the devotion reminds us to follow through on any commitments we make. It is easy to say yes to things but we need to be careful that we don’t over commit.

This book is a great gift to give to others as well as getting a copy for yourself. We can only find true treasure in God’s Word. Keep this devotion close and use it everyday to find your treasure from God.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

This is another wonderful book of photos and devotions from Smoak. The thirty devotions center on her collection of coins. She starts with a photo of the coin and some interesting information about what appears on it, whether it is a symbol or a profile of a person. Next is a wise and practical devotion. An example is one on creating a healthy atmosphere in communication, saying kind words and refraining from complaints and criticism. She completes the entry with an appropriate Scripture verse and a short prayer.

I appreciate the beautiful photos Smoak includes on the pages facing the devotional. Her love of photography is evident as she illustrates the truth of the devotion with an appropriate scene. This is a good inspirational book, both in the written content and the accompanying photos.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the author. My comments are an independent and honest review.

This book is classified as a “pictorial devotional” and I would agree with that description. I enjoyed the photography in the book, as well as reading the descriptions of the coins the author has collected from around the world. Visually, I thought this book was beautifully put together.

There are thirty devotions in this book. Included with each day’s section is a brief challenge, a scripture verse, and a short prayer. These mini-devotions would be a good way to take the first five minutes in the morning for reflection before you begin your day. The devotions are inspirational and practical. While the devotions are thoughtful, this would not be a devotional book that could be considered a Bible study. It would, however, be a thoughtful gift for almost any occasion. I enjoyed looking through this book and the encouragement I received from each day’s thought.

I voluntarily received this book from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.

This is a lovely book to look at with its color photographs that accompany the devotional material. Each of the thirty chapters features a coin from the author’s collection of money from various countries and times. The true treasure is found in the words that describe eternal truths and wisdom for life. The daily entries are brief—in fact, I read the whole book in an afternoon. The text is uplifting and inspiring, enriching the life of the reader and pointing them to God and His Word. It’s a book a person can read over and over again, each time finding new treasure to enrich their daily life. It would a be nice resource in a church library and on a home’s coffee table. I think it could even be used in a group, guiding discussion and prayer on the topics covered. Whether a seeker or a new or mature Christian, this book has something to bless you. I received a copy from Celebrate Lit. All opinions are my own.

𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐞 is an 80-page devotional book offering thirty days of reflections designed to help readers focus on spiritual treasures rather than earthly ones.

The hardcover book includes artistic, Instagram-worthy photographs, scripture verses, prayers, and daily readings to provide spiritual nourishment.

Each reading is easy to read and reflect on throughout my day. One of the things I especially appreciate about the simplicity of this book is its ability to create a meaningful impact in a short amount of time.

Devotionals are a part of my everyday life. I LOVE to start my day with a Devotional books. I really enjoy Devotionals that have a theme. Treasures of the Wise: 30 Devotions for Storing Up Heavenly Riches by Tracy L. Smoak is the latest Devotional that I have read.

I was very encouraged and blessed by this Devotional. The book is short and an easy to read format. Each day has a wonderful and beautiful photo of different "treasures", a Scriputure to ponder, a story for the day and a Prayer. The day is spread out over 2 pages and takes about 5 or 10 minutes each day to read. I really enjoyed the personal stories that Tracy shared with us. The book would make a GREAT Gift for those who enjoy Collecting Coins or other treasure or for someone needing a simple devotional. GREAT INSPIRATION and BOOK!

Treasures of the Wise" by Tracy L. Smoak is 30 devotions starting with history on foreign coins. It has photos and Bible verses and prayers to help us keep centered on what matters most in life. The pictures are beautiful and have a life lesson such as the one on page 20, how a dog waits patiently for instructions from his owner. I read each devotion in one set. it took about 30 minutes, but this is a book that I think Over and over daily are when you just needed a reminder of how to live your life when you are worried about your finances or some other area in your life, such as fear.
I received a complementary copy from the author and Celebrate Lit and these opinions are my own.

My sister and I really enjoyed sharing this devotional together over FaceTime for thirty days. A beautiful photo each day with words of wisdom and also a coin that corresponds with each day and where it is from. A beautiful devotion with scripture reading and a prayer to conclude each day. This makes a lovely coffee table book and is one I will enjoy rereading. It also has a ribbon bookmark that adds to its beauty. We both enjoyed it and recommend reading it as you learn how to store up treasures of wisdom.

I enjoyed adding this book to my morning quiet time. There is not a lot of depth to it, but I found the devotions in this book inspiring. Because they are so short, it doesn’t take a lot of time to read the few paragraphs on each page and soak in the beauty of the photographs with each entry. This book is great for adding a bit of inspiration to each day.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author, and these are my honest thoughts about it.

Treasures Of The Wise by Tracy L Smoak is a powerful book of thirty devotionals which will aid our walk with God.
Each devotional has an accompanying coin which is from the author’s collection and means something to her. The coin reminds us that we are God’s treasure, far more important than wealth. We are God’s riches.
There is a beautiful half page photo opposite the main devotional. It is something that means something to the author who adds her thoughts. My favourites were: the teacups belonging to the author’s great grandmother (chapter 8); letters and a Bible (chapter 29); and a gorgeous puppy (chapter 4 and the end of the book).
As Tracy L Smoak introduces each devotional, she gives her personal thoughts, a relevant scripture and a prayer.
As the book progresses, hopefully you will draw closer to the heart of God and discover His will for your life.
Did I have a personal devotional? Yes. As I am English, I loved chapter 8 about our late, great Queen Elisabeth II.
I loved the words that Dwight Eisenhower wanted printed on coins and notes in 1955 saying “In God we trust.” (page 25)
The whole book is beautifully set out. The photos are stunning. This is the perfect book to buy for a friend as well as yourself.
I received a free copy from the author. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.
