This book wasn't as bad as I expected given it was my first history book in Japanese, it still took longer than normal which is expected but the format being that of two people talking back and forth really helped break up dense concepts. The section about the different shogunates did throw me off a lot with sooo many kanji for names that I could not read as I did not recognise the figures.
