As a ghost haunting Blackrose Manor, I've mastered the art of solitude. I've watched generations live and die, keeping my distance, staying in the shadows. Then Florence shows up with her ghost-hunting equipment, her irresistible curves, and a determination that makes my non-existent pulse race. She's been hired to get rid of me, but there's a I can't stop manifesting just to be near her.
I know I should scare her away—it's what ghosts do. Instead, I find myself cooking her breakfast, sharing secrets, and stealing kisses that defy the laws of life and death. But when an ancient ritual offers a chance at real life again, I have to ask is our love strong enough to bridge the gap between the living and the dead?
This was supposed to be just another paranormal investigation for my YouTube channel. Find evidence of ghosts, maybe go viral, collect my paycheck. Simple. But nothing about Carson Koen is simple. He's a squatter at the mansion who cooks me breakfast, makes me laugh, and sets my soul on fire with a single touch. His kisses literally make me levitate, and don't even get me started on all the things he apparently has the ability to make vibrate.
But then I learn that he’s a ghost and loving him comes at a price. Dark forces within the manor want him exorcised, my ghost-hunting team thinks I've lost my mind, and time is running out. They say love conquers all, but can it conquer death itself? Because I'm not letting go of Carson without a fight—even if I have to storm the gates of the afterlife to keep him. Because Carson isn’t just any ghost. He’s my ghost.
A steamy, supernatural paranormal romance
A curvy ghost hunter who believes in love beyond the graveA protective ghost who'd die again to keep her safeForbidden love that defies death itselfSteamy scenes that will make your kindle fog upA guaranteed HEA that proves love is stronger than death
I adored this book about love beyond this realm. The characters were fabulous; quirky and funny, Carson and Florence made a uniquely ideal pair. Her "job" made the nature of their relationship even more suspect, and his need for caution was palpable. The balance between love story and paranormal intrigue was spot on as Carson searched for a means to become more human again.
The secondary characters added a level of intensity to the story as a whole. Sarah and Mike (along with little Emily) were critical players as the story reached its climax. The creativity displayed in these pages astounded mem whether it was the plot or the descriptive visualizations.
This book differed greatly from others by Hazel that I've read, but I absolutely loved it. I was gifted a copy and voluntarily provide this review. I hope you enjoy reading this lighthearted "ghost story" as much as I did. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
A Ghost's Guide to Love is a steamy, OTT, opposites-attract, forced-proximity, curvy girl gets her ghost paranormal romantic comedy. Florence is a sweet, sassy, and curvy ghost hunter investigating Blackrose Manor for her online channel. She is supposed to get rid of the ghost. Carson is the hunky ghost haunting the place. When she meets Carson, she at first thinks he's a squatter. But he's a ghost hooked on her and finds himself manifesting to be around her. But darker forces are at play. Can they solve the mystery and be together? This was a fun read. There was great chemistry, lots of laughs, and a happy ending. I loved it.

This book is part of the Sugar & Extra Spice Curvy Romance series, and the main characters are Carson Keon, a ghost who has haunted Blackrose Manor for over a hundred years, and Florence (Flo) Everly, a paranormal investigator who has turned up at the manor to prove the existence of ghosts there for her YouTube followers. Carson pretends that he is housesitting for the current owner, Hanson, who has hired Flo’s group to rid the home of any ghosts there. Carson is able to fully manifest himself, keeping a very solid appearance most of the time, unlike the other ghosts in the manor. He also doesn’t seem to set off any of her equipment and is a dab cook, rustling up meals for her but never seeming to take part himself, before the rest of her team turn up. Some of the other ghosts are a bit jealous of Carson’s ability, but he won’t allow them to push Flo away, as he quickly becomes enamoured by her and her curves. Carson had ended up dead before his time, when he fell in love with the daughter of a neighbouring wealthy family, and he was only a servant’s son, so deemed not suitable. The woman he loved wanted him to go away with her, but he fell under a train and died, with her getting married to another man the very next day!
When her team arrive, none of them seem to be able to see or even notice Carson to begin with but are fascinated with all of the signs of ghosts going on around the manor house. It takes a while for them to notice Carson, who by then has Flo completely lost to his. When they do, they all think there is something off about Carson, but that isn’t the worst of it as they will find out when one of them, Sarah, is possessed by the ghost of young Emily Blackrose. One of her team, Mike, has brought a device which can apparently capture ghosts and scramble their energy, which Carson tries to steer clear of. As his feelings for Flo grow, he tries to seek a solution to stay with Flo and become human once again. He goes into Lady Blackrose’s hidden library, which is full of books on the occult, to look for a ritual that might work for him. Flo and Carson get closer with his special kisses and his amazing vibrating abilities in bed and Flo soon finds herself in love with him. She tries to tell her team, but they have noticed some strange stuff about Carson, floating inches above the ground as he walked the halls late at night. Mike had also seen a bluish glow surround Carson at times. Suspicions have been raised, but Carson continues to deny he is a ghost.
Emily’s next possession of Sarah sees her reveal she has a secret about Carson, and he makes a mistake in what he says to her and Flo finally realises he must be a ghost. Flo’s distress at the news has Carson losing his sold form. A ghost only exists if someone is remembering them and her running away, has caused him to falter. He explains exactly who he was and the status of his birth, meaning his first chance at love was destroyed, but that he loves her and wants to be with her. Something that can’t happen since he is a ghost! Lady Blackrose has to tell him that his problem is love and him being afraid Flo won’t love him anymore, now she knows he is a ghost. He has a few more hurdles to overcome as he has to fight leaving for the afterlife and Mike’s destructive machine. Luckily Lady Blackrose gives him a couple of clues to what might help him, hopefully before Hanson and his exorcist appear. He seems to have been strong enough to possibly manage to get his heart’s desire, but one final ritual will be needed with his love, to see if they are both worthy. A nice twist on a haunted house storyline, with Carson being able to fully manifest himself, in a home that has a multitude of other ghosts who want to be heard and seen. They have gloried in scaring loads of other people out of their home, but Flo is different and has caught Carson’s heart and soul. Flo will also have to fight for the man she has come to love so quickly, even after finding out he is a ghost. But he belongs to her and she refuses to give up!

I really enjoyed reading 'A Ghost's Guide to Love' by Sara Hazel. It was so cute and original. Florence is a ghost hunter who is lucky enough to find her very own ghost to love. The amazing part of that is that she does not realize that he is a ghost. She and her crew of ghost investigators have been called out to a haunted estate to investigate and rid the place of its ghosts. When she arrives ahead of her crew, she is surprised to see a man there. He is handsome and helpful, but he explains to her that he is housesitting and has lived there for years. He makes himself useful by fixing her fantastic meals and knows all about the history of Blackrose family that lived there. He is charming and they are very attracted to each other. What he does not tell her is that he is a ghost who has learned to manifest himself so that he can be seen. As they spend time together, he hopes that he can make her fall in love with him before he has to tell her the truth about himself. He feels more alive around her and is sure she and their love will be able to bring him to life or that he will at least be able to be with her. It's a cute story with her crew and the ghosts getting involved and creating problems along the way.

Holy Vibrating Ghosts, Batman! Awesomeness at its finest. Florence is a ghost hunter and she has definitely found one. Although, she doesn’t know it. Yet. When she arrived at Blackrose Manor she was greeted by Carson. He says he’s house sitting although the owner, Hanson, doesn’t know it. Interesting. The Manor definitely has paranormal activity but, who is actually responsible for it. When her crew arrives they are convinced that Carson is a ghost. Flo doesn’t believe them because she’s in love with him. But, eventually she realizes that it’s true when Emily, a little girl who passed, takes possession of one crew member’s body and reveals that Carson is her brother. As if that wasn’t enough to deal with Hanson shows up with an exorcist to rid the Manor of ALL the ghosts. What happens next is unreal. Literally.

The book started off well, and I was really interested in seeing how the author would get the two very different characters together, but as the story progressed, it began to feel more and more like a chaotic movie instead of a well-developed story I could immerse myself in. The beginning had me feeling like I was IN the story, but by the time the FMC's team showed up to the house to get rid of the ghosts, I was being thrown out of the book and forced to watch the mess get bigger and more chaotic as the pages flew by. So, yeah, if you're interested in a movie parody-type book about ghosts and human romances, this book is for you.

Flow is a ghost hunter and is spending time in a haunted manner. She's in England and things are getting wonky. She's there before her team and she meets Carson who is a squatter in the mansion. As things progress Carson has fallen in love with her. But he needs to come clean about his secret. Flow and her team are trying to find those and post it on her YouTube channel. The Adventure Continues and gets very drastic. There's some action-packed things that the Paranormal or known for doing. Funny yet intense book.

I have read many books, but this is the first one I have read with this particular storyline. Florence is a ghost hunter who has been invited to investigate Blackrose Manor. It happens that this place really is haunted. Carson is there to welcome Flo, and the attraction is instant. I love the plot of this book. It is pretty intense, super spicy, and one of the best HEAs I have read. Some great plot twists will keep you hooked until the end of the book. Excellent book!

Delightful, Delectable and Delicious A Ghost's Guide to Love is the sixth book in the Sugar & Extra Spice Curvy Romance series. This is a delightful, delectable, and delicious book. It is also cute, sweet, funny, and steamy. The story is about Florence and Carson, she is a human and he is a ghost. They "meet" as he is haunting the Blackrose Manor and she is a paranormal investigator who is out to uncover whether the manor is actually haunted. Let's just say that there is a "meet cute" and you end up with a lot of laughs along the way to these two getting their HEA.

The author has given us a heartwarming story that pulls us into the lives of Florence and Carson. Can a ghost and a "fleshy" have a normal relationship? The story keeps us turning the pages with ghost hunters, connection, secrets, magic ad steam.

Carson is not who he leads us to believe. Even when Flo gets to the big house there is always the illusion that he is more. Between Mike, Hanson and some mischievous residents of Blackrose manor. Flo and Carson’s love must prove to be true. A great read from the beginning. Totally different from some of the same characters I have read. I did enjoy it a lot.
Florence is a ghost hunter and her latest project is Blackrose Manor where Carson is 'housesitting'. A steamy paranormal romance with witty banter, pop culture references sprinkled throughout, and a seemingly forbidden love that knows no bounds.

This was a fun and fresh paranormal with a twist. Florence is hired to ghost hunt. She must be the worst ghost hunter ever, as she meets a ghost, Carson and has zero clue he’s the ghost she’s been hired to ghost hunt. Fun, though. Carson is super sweet.
A Ghost's Guide to Love is a unique romance. Florence and Carson have an interesting journey to their happily ever after. This was a fun read with lots of wit and a slow-building very steamy romance.

This is the story of Florence and Carson. I enjoyed how the ghost hunter and the ghost connect. This is a sweet, engaging, and entertaining romance. I received an arc of the book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am not usually one for ghost romances but the overall vibe in the blurb made me want to try it. This ended up being much better than I had anticipated and I was pleasantly surprised. The plot was solid and the side characters added a lot of depth without detracting from the main couple.
