Age Gap Curvy Girl Best Friend's Father Spicy Cruise Romance
A whirlwind romance with my best friend’s father... seriously—how stupid can I be? I’m on this ship to celebrate my best friend’s impending nuptials—not to hook up with her dad! That fortune teller warned me I’d find love but also difficulties—I didn’t think that would mean getting caught making out with the off-limits DILF! I know I should be focused on getting through this cruise, but all I can think about is Clark Donovan getting into my pants. What’s wrong with me!? Falling for Viv was never part of the plan. She’s everything I shouldn’t want—young, vibrant, and the perfect curvy queen. I thought my days of passion were behind me, but she makes me feel alive again. She’s my daughter’s best friend, for God’s sake! And she’s half my age! Inappropriate? Absolutely. I know this. So why can’t I stop thinking about her!? Can a scorching and forbidden vacation fling turn into lasting love? Or will their vast age difference and family ties force them to abandon ship before they reach their happily ever after? This tantalizing mix of forbidden romance, a powerful age gap dynamic, and sizzling chemistry makes Halloween Kiss the perfect steamy escape that promises a fun, indulgent read, keeping you hooked from the first page. Coral Kingston writes short, steamy, and sweet cruise ship romances that will resonate with your heart and… umm… libido. She loves to write about swoon-worthy men and interesting women who are as imperfect as can be, but ALWAYS find their perfect match before the last page is turned. She currently lives in Texas (within driving distance of a cruise port—yay!) with her own bearded hunk of man meat and their gaggle of children.
This is such a cute and sexy short story featuring some of my favourite tropes: age gap & best friend’s dad. It’s deliciously taboo wrapped up in a sweet and cozy wrapper.
Vivian is a sweet, young, early 20s woman with her own landscaping business, and Clark is a delectable 45 year old man who happens to be Viv’s best friend’s father. Both are on a pre-wedding (Cassie’s) Halloween themed cruise. No matter what they do, they can’t resist one another. The story is well told, and well written. I was so glad to find another short story that hits rather than misses the mark. What a little treasure this book is!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how their relationship was foretold. Vivian and Clark are attracted at first sight and fall for each other. I like that they share interests. It was great how when Clark caught Vivian to confess his feelings how she placed all the events and encounters they shared to the fortune. I'm glad they got together in the end.
This was the second book I read by this author. While I enjoyed reading this book, I wished there were more spicy/steamy scenes between Clark and Viv. The epilogue from Clark's POV was so spicy 🥵

Probably the most crazy thing to me is both in the Goodreads cover and the kindle unlimited cover.. Vivian is a skinny chick. Yet the books all about her being a curvy and big girl. Make it make sense
The book itself was meh. Too much time focused on certain things, not enough focused on others
The only probably enjoyable parts for me were the fortune teller and seeing how that panned out in the story (especially the treasure hunt scene)
I enjoyed the connection and chemistry between these two, the way they clicked was lovely to see. Their road to a HEA was a little tough because of the situation they found themselves in, but love, respect and wanting happiness for someone you care for shone through.

It really had nothing to do with Halloween but with one scene. Oh well. I wish there had been more banter with the daughter and dad and more relationship stuff. The spice was just okay. I will read more by Kingston though
this was not a bad book by any means, it just wasn’t for me! i felt like it really had nothing to do with halloween, and it felt a little rushed and surface level to me. i did like the writing style in the book and how descriptive it is.
I love that we have a little bit of a Halloween setting. I love that we get a best friends age gap Romance love that it was on a cruise setting love the Little hunt They went on. It was really enjoyable.
As the last rays of sunlight disappear, we stand there, entwined, the promise of something beautiful, terrifying, and wonderful stretching out before us. For the first time in years.... I feel truly, completely alive. > . . This book was a really quick read, I think I found it a little too quick in some places, I felt like it became rushed and I was hoping for a little more. I would have loved to seen more of a relationship built from Clark and Viv instead of this insta love reaction, I feel like we could have had way more plot the conflict was there but it was resolved so quick I felt like it lost the whole aspect of the book. However I will say I loved how they bonded over plants and how they really did seem to be into each other, I loved how this book was trying to promote body positivity, I found it really easy to read and I would gladly read from this author again if I wanted it!
