When my best friend sends me the screenshot of an article titled “Female masturbation can apparently open a ‘portal to hell’”, after the day I’d had, I’d jokingly replied with, “Guess who’s about to open ten thousand portals up in this bitch???”

I don’t expect the universe to actually call my bluff, and have my first mind-blowing orgasm in years rip open a literal portal in my bathroom. Now there are three fantastical beings in my home, and I don’t think they plan on leaving until they get what they want.

And what they apparently want is me.

I really enjoyed this spicy read because it is my first book to start my Erotica reading challenge. This novella gave the right amount of spice I enjoy. I read other books by this author and I enjoy her writing style.

If you are a smut reader who enjoys the fantastical elements of the characters with a whisper of a plot then this is the novella for you.

This is my first read from the author.
Under 70 pages, it was a very easy read.
I liked that the FMC was 30 & Nigerian with valid issues about what’s she’s currently dealing with in her life.
The spice was descriptive & vivid, and mildly sweet at the same time. I wouldn’t reread this but I’d read other books from the author.

Portal to Pleasure is a standalone MMMF erotic monster novella by author Viano Oniomoh. It's is told from a first person single point of view.

Mentions and references to a terrible boss; brief mention and references to emotionally abusive parents; brief mention and reference to an emotionally abusive/manipulative ex; brief reference to the FMC having a total hysterectomy; and explicit sex scenes, which include but are not limited to masturbation, double penetration, sex without a condom (not to be emulated), sex with a tentacle, and fellatio.

This was super quick, ridiculously spicy, and a lot of fun. It's five chapters and an epilogue, and it's purely smut-driven (so don't expect too much of a plot). I loved Melody's sense of humour and sharp tongue, and had fun vicariously living through her accidentally opening a literal portal to pleasure. The three supernaturals that appear and she takes to bed were great characters, and I love that the author managed to give them all their own unique styles and personalities given the time constraint of the book. I enjoyed where the book was left, because sometimes, you just need to worry about the vibes and not the logistics of the characters' happily ever afters. I've read a few different books from Viano before and if you enjoy her writing, you'll definitely enjoy this, too as it has her signature style to it. I love how she writes such strong and diverse characters. I luckily snagged this during a monster romance promotion, but if you're looking for some fluffy smut to round out your TBR, I highly recommend Portal to Pleasure.

My first 5 star rating of the year, on a monster erotica...checks out for me honestly.

I was recommended this author by a friend, a different book but I got a hold of this one first because of a stuff your kindle day and I am beyond thrilled by it. This honestly was the perfect book for me. It knew what it was and didn't clunk up the plot with more thank it needed. It didn't rush love or feelings, merely ending on the characters deciding they all wanted to give it a chance together.

Also, I would die for Thricc.

Simple, fun, and spicy. I mean, it's hot af. Who wouldn't be curious about some spicy times with three demonic hell creatures? And it's queer, so that's a plus in my book. I absolutely love the premise of female pleasure opening a portal to hell. It makes me chuckle just thinking about it, and Viano Oniomoh definitely made it a fun and interesting little read. Not my favorite one of hers that I have read, but still so so good because I don't think she can ever miss at this point.

I loved this short and sweet novella. It was so wonderful, along with the gorgeous spice there was a cute plot and relationship building and having that done in such a short amount of pages is impressive. I really really enjoyed this authors writing style and would like to read more.

The 3 “men” are absolutely delicious and I wouldn’t mind a visit, the FMC is also described so sweetly and also sounds absolutely delicious, it’s clear why they call her their “goddess”

A Bite

This was definitely an erotica novella. Straight to the point on all accounts no fuss no fluff. But I definitely wanted a little. This is the first story I’ve read from Oniomoh that was single pov and while I enjoyed the story I didn’t like that. Part of what does it for me in her work is the intensity of the connection on both sides and while it was there it wasn’t as evident without the other’s pov. Outside of that it was still a fun and spicy read.

Okay, so this was my first time reading a smutty, monster romance so I am not sure what I was expecting. I would describe this the same way a previous reviewer did, it is a queer monster erotica with people of colour and plus sized girly representation novella. With of course a touch of fluff and cutesy moments.

15 pages of no smut- my kind of book! Great monster smut, quick little story for a nice palette cleanser

What is a book? That is the fundamental question I have after finishing Portal to Pleasure.

Is a book a stack of pages bound between two covers? Must it have conflict? Or a plot at all? This was assigned a romance book club reading, and this one was not like the others.

I've decided to not rate this book because I don't think it is one. It isn't really even a short story because there was no plot. It is eighty pages of just smut. This would receive infinite upvotes as a reddit post, all the stars as a Wattpad story. It just didn't meet the qualifications for a book.

I'm glad to see POC starring in the story, and POC writers capitalizing on what they write and getting their bag.
