We are halfway through the second generation of the Al-Sintra family with the end of this book, and I can honestly say it has been quite the ride! With this book, we get to see Crown Prince Zayn repeating family history a bit by fathering a child before marriage. However, this time around, it was more like a secret pregnancy story rather than the accidental pregnancy plots from Joran and Raj's stories because Azlyn always knew exactly who Zayn was, and she had the means to contact him but chose not to for reasons you will find out. The bit of danger in this book is not the main focus, but rather a side plot that really drives the couple to come back together again after a year apart. Trigger warnings include: off-page deaths (hit-and-run, "accidental" hiking death), off-page attempted car crash, loss of a best friend, grief (on page, very mild), pew-pew fire, and hurt feelings (mistress offer, hidden/secret pregnancy). If any of those are triggers for you, please do not read this book; no book is worth your mental health. If you enjoy easy-to-read, accidental/secret pregnancy, contemporary royal romance stories with a touch of danger and guaranteed HEA, then I highly recommend this book. However, for the best experience and the most enjoyment, I do highly recommend that you read this series in order as family members make regular appearances and past events are regularly referenced. Azlyn and Prince Zayn are taken with each other at first sight when they meet on the set of Azlyn’s show. With lust at first sight, they have a very steamy weekend together. While they both want more, their careers make it impossible for them to be together without one having to give up theirs, which Zayn can’t do, and Azlyn won’t. So Zayn leaves and both suffer, but he apparently left something behind. With a threat lingering on the edges of Azlyn’s life, will they come together in the end?
This was not my favorite book that the author has written. I did not feel like I got the development of their love and their relationship. Everything happened so quickly during their weekend, and then again when they got back together. While relationships tend to move quickly in her books, this just felt like it was too quick for me.

Zayn and Azlyn burned bright and fast when they first got together for their weekend. Zayn wants her to give up her career to come be with him, and doesn’t seem to understand why that upsets her. Azlyn’s job is everything for her. She doesn’t want to give it up for him, and worries she will grow to resent him if she does. Then they were miserable during the year or so they were apart. Zayn ends up stepping in to help her when there is a lurking threat to her, and ultimately gets his way by bringing her and his son to protect them. He marries her, but still does not understand why her sparkle seems so dimmed. Her sparkle comes back when she starts doing her research again, and then all of a sudden, they are suddenly saying they love each other. It didn’t make a lot of sense to me.

5 ++Stars Two unlikely people are perfect together.
Azlyn Williams and Olivia Hister are an award-winning documentary reporter team. Beautiful and bold Olivia is the presenter, the interviewer, and the face of the team. Azlyn is the brain behind the scenes of the business. She does research and investigation. Azlyn is the scout who identifies the stories they decide to pursue, and they’ve gone after some massive corruption cases. One of their interviews is with Crown Prince Zayn Al-Sintra of Lativa, and the interview is going to change Zayn and Azlyn’s lives. Zayn can’t take his eyes off of Azlyn, and she is doing a lot of peeking at him. There is just something … magical between them. It’s a wonderful romance, but neither wants to commit to a long-distance romance.
They reunite when all hell breaks out in Azlyn’s life. It’s horrible, and I must admit that I cried. Zayn rushes back to Chicago to protect Azlyn and his ‘surprise’ three-month-old son, Griffin. Danger is everywhere, so off they all go to Lativa and the Palace. Azlyn does what she does best: she gets on her computer and tracks down the killer.
I love this story so much. It covered every emotion, from excitement and horror to sadness and joy, and Zayn’s big, wonderful family. I highly recommend ‘His Secret Heir’. Linda

His Secret Heir is Crown Prince Zayn’s story. He meets Azlyn when he is being interviewed for a show that he and has father are hoping will help their countries vision. She was not the interviewer but Azlyn was the brains behind the research for the interview questions. The chemistry between the two of them is heavy and they spend time together. Zayn wants her to leave her work and come to Lativa, that does not go over well for a very strong willed woman and they end up splitting up. Fast forward a year and Zayn sees a report about the death of the interviewer that worked with Ashlyn and he see her with a baby. When it becomes evident that her life is in danger he rushes to get her! Things are dicey for a while but they figure out how to make each other happy and solve the mystery of the deaths!

Azlyn is a fantastic analyst, determined to bring down anyone corrupt. Prince Zayn is attracted to her mind as well as her body. They enjoy an exhilarating weekend together, but it all ends when he asks her to be his mistress. They part, both angry and hurt, however, Zayn has left a small part of himself behind, but when danger strikes, he instantly jumps into action.
This is a fast-paced suspense romance; Azlyn is an amazing person and this comes across easily with her actions, Zayn is driven by duty and can’t always see Azlyn’s point of view. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the series so far, brilliant!

Another awesome read
This is book 8 and it doesn’t fail, it’s an amazing read. This is Zayn’s story, he is the crown prince and is all grown up. He sees the h at an interview and is utterly smitten. She is attracted to him as well. Their chemistry is off the charts. They share a weekend of passion but a fight breaks them up, both too stubborn to compromise. The h is strong, intelligent, independent and beautiful. He leaves, she is pregnant but doesn’t inform him. He finds out by accident when he hears her best friend is killed. They still feel mistrust and fear but they fight for their love and family. Love wins. Great epilogue.

Azlyn Williams has come up with running shows with interviews and documentaries story about corruption with Olivia as the face/front person who handles all interviews. Prince Zayn and Azlyn met at the interview and you can just see the sparks and attraction off the charts. There is murder and intrigue of Azlyn's team after a documentary of shading deal involving a construction company demolishing instead of upgrading a high school building and Azlyn's pregnancy after Zayn leaving. Another winner.

Zayn is just perfect for her and the two of them make magic happen. They share a weekend of passion but a fight breaks them up, both too stubborn to compromise.After a year he sees her by chance on the news, he realizes that she has a baby in her arms and that she is in danger. Without hesitation, he goes after her to try to bring her home and resume their relationship.

I enjoyed reading the book on Prince Zayn and Azlyn . I always enjoy an independent and smart woman. It was frustrating to see that Zayn wanted her to become his mistress after all the hot romance. I was glad to see she turned him down even though they were both miserable after. Everything works out in the end.

Zayn & Azlyn's story is quite sweet, passionate and filed with laughter and mystery. Enjoyed the fact that history does repeat itself a bit in Zayn's story ;-)
As always I'd recommend reading the whole series from the beginning as it's much more fun and you get to know the characters. Looking forward to the next book!!

Azlyn and Zayn's story is a great read. The usual miscommunication, the mystery and suspense were wonderful touches. It is also fun revisiting other characters who we have come to know well. I love reading Elizabeth's books because they take me to a quiet place where I can relax and recharge and have fun doing so. You will not be disappointed with this book.
