Mammon.

I’m the leader.

Unwavering, unflinching, and uncompromisable. Power is my weapon and authority is my shield.

Except when it comes to the two of them.

Bel is a selfish brat who loves pushing my buttons, always quick with a sassy remark or a filthy tease. Gore is a psychotic sweetheart, always wanting to please and filled with kindness.

This fixation I have with them has gone on far too long. I have a family to oversee, an island to run, and a resistance to flesh out. But it’s hard to remember why the three of us can’t be together when they just won’t take no for an answer.

My kitten and my princess; the only two things strong enough to make a man like me bend.

But with a war brewing in the background and the consequences of my greed coming to bite me, I don’t know how long I can keep them safe.

From everything, including myself.

REVIEW UPDATED: TRIGGER / CONTENT WARNING: CHILD SA AND SUICIDE

After everything that's come to light regarding the contents of the proposed book three in this series, I am so angry and sickened and I would never want my original review to aid in the deliberate misleading of readers as to who these characters are and what this series is about.

I originally complained in my review that it was too sex heavy and we don't actually get to know the character's enough, and now it seems to me that this was a deliberate choice made by the author to intentionally mislead the reader. Here, we are supposed to be wanting Mammon to get a HEA, but in book three he's revealed to be the person who sexually assaulted Asmodeus as a child...In no fucking universe is it acceptable for a child sex abuser to get a HEA. And to add even more insult, the author decides that the 'HEA' the victim of CSA deserves is a mutual suicide. I am at a loss for words on how this was ever deemed acceptable. There's dark romance and then there's this bullshit. To make it worse, it was heavily implied, maybe even explicitly stated, that the two younger MCs in this book had been victims of some kind of assault when they were children, and for them to get a HEA with a child sex abuser is absurd.

To use child sex assault and suicide as plot devices to make your book 'dark' is just mind boggling. It will never be romantic to sexually abuse a child. It will never be romantic to have your MC, especially an MC in the queer community which is already receiving so much fucking pointless hate, to commit mutual or singular suicide and call that a HEA of any kind. It is literally the genre definition that a romance story has a HEA. A love story doesn't need a HEA, but this was marketed as a dark romance?!?!? A love story with a tragic ending is a Romantic Tragedy - Romeo and Juliet is not a fucking romance story and that's basic English lessons as a young teenager!

I'm not one to personally attack an author, but what the fuck was she thinking? What on earth were the people around her thinking? How did book three even get to the point where the marketing decisions and content decisions were never considered to be so extremely harmful and dangerous? This is an author that I will never trust again, and neither will I ever read their other pen name again (Addison Beck).

I think the biggest issue for me in all of this is that had it been marketed correctly as a dark tragedy from the offset, I would have read this book and then discovered that the character I had supported in both books one and two was actually a paedophile, which is not something I want to read, but the author took away my choice to read a story about a child abuser getting a HEA because that information was deliberately withheld until she was ready to publish book three. Had I known that's who Mammon was, I would not have read beyond book one in this series, especially when the perpetrator receives a HEA and the victim is given a suicide that the author described as beautiful.

deleting my previous review and updating my rating to 0 stars because

PREDATORS AND ABUSERS DO NOT DESERVE HEA’S.

AND READERS DO NOT DESERVE TO HAVE THEIR OWN CONSENT TAKEN AWAY ON WHETHER THEY WANT TO READ THE STORY OF A PREDATOR AND ABUSER.

i, for one, do not ever want to read a book like that. i’ve had too much personal experience with my own abusers getting away with what they were doing to me while i suffered. i never needed to be forced into unknowingly rooting for someone like that. it was an absolute violation from one of my favorite authors who i trusted.

a predator gets to live his life with his two partners while his victim is no longer alive to ever get his own happy ending. that’s not beautiful. THAT IS SICK. and i NEVER WOULD HAVE CONSENTED TO READING THAT.

addison beck is someone i have supported and recommended for almost a year on every single one of my platforms, and i have since purged everything of her books. i personally can never forgive her from the sickness i feel over all of this.

i hope everyone who read these books, the recent arc, or even just has been negatively impacted by this are staying safe. you are loved, and your life matters. a world without you would never be a good thing.

this new trend of "unconventional HEA" drives me crazy!
HEA = they *lived* happily ever after,
suicide should not be romanticized,
AND giving HEA to a pedophile while the survivor of child SA was given a "HEA" in the form of suicide actually makes me sick and beyond mad.

i'm sick of authors misleading readers and advertising their books "dark romance" thinking they can get away with anything. this is not dark romance. i believe in literature freedom but at least have the courtesy of advertising your books the right way and find your target audience that way then, but absolutely do *not* try to trick your readers and dump triggers on them out of nowhere causing *them* trauma, triggering *their own* trauma, just so you, as the writer, can proccess your own trauma??? that is a sick, manipulative behavior.

UPDATED 7/20/2025

Editing my review completely because what the ACTUAL fuck.
In this book, we have Mammon, as the title says. He eventually finds his HEA with two crazy boys he kind of... leads.

Anyways. Turns out in the third book that Mammon had been sexually assaulting Asi (Asmodeus) since he was A CHILD. To make things even worse, Asi finds his "HEA" with a double suicide with his partner in the third book and the author wants us to "See the beauty in what they did."

First of all, what the actual fuck. How can you ever see suicide as being beautiful? It's one of the most destructive things a person can do to their family and friends as you're always wondering "did I miss the signs? I thought they were happy?"

Second, why. WHY does a child predator get a fucking HEA? Also, apparently it was implied heavily that the two boys he got his HEA with were also assaulted as children. I'm sorry but... What. The. Actual. FUCK.

The queer community suffers from trauma so why the fuck are we using queer men as a means to a devastating end? Haven't they suffered ENOUGH?

What the actual fuckery.

since Asmodeus was deleted from goodreads updating my review on both books.
*spoilers because the book isn’t being released*

Asmodeus
all of this is so disappointing… for the people who are complaining about not being able to read it, it was deeply disturbing. no romance, no spice, just gross torture tbh. i was giving the author the benefit of the doubt in my original review. i don’t read a lot of serious dark romance so i thought maybe i was just too sensitive for a book like this. but it seems that there’s a lot of lines that were crossed in this one. i hate how this book made me feel. i’m a horror lover, so i feel like i’m desensitized to a lot of dark things. but this was incredibly dark. Nyx and Asi deserved a lot more than what they got. i somewhat understand the ending but i don’t understand why both characters were treated so unfairly. every single character from the past books in the series are different people to me. SPECIFICALLY Mammons book. fuck Mammon. fuck Bel and Gore for taking Nyx to be raped. and fuck Luc and Lev for not doing anything about it. i also believe that if the mc gets raped by the other mc then it’s not a romance. Nyx literally got his toe cut off during the scene??? like that’s not love. it’s cruel and gross. i look at this series completely different now. i was relieved when the label for the book was changed, but i think cancelling the book was the best choice. AGAIN MY OPINION.

Mammon
i really did like this book. it was probably one of my favorite reads this year. reading asmodeus and getting more context on the character Mammon, i don’t like this book at all. Mammon groomed Asi into wanting to hurt people. Then instead of taking accountability he helps Asi kill himself. not even just Mammons character, Bel and Gore are just as worse. don’t act like you guys are one big family then turn around and do what you guys did to Asi and Nyx. i mentioned it in my original review of asmodeus but i feel betrayed by these characters. i’ve never experienced a series like this before. where one book changed my whole perspective of the series. these characters can go to hell.

If you’ve read Leviathan, (which I hope you have if you’re interested in picking up Mammon 😂) then you would know that these boys are WILD. CRAZY. UNHINGED. Completely toxic, and unfiltered. In no world do these boys exist where they get their typical HEA, although the way Maddison makes it sound, it really is perfect for them.

We know form the last book that Mammon has taken over as the leader of this small town. He’s prepared to lead with an iron fist, and no one is going to get in his way. Except maybe Bel & Gore.

These two are who halves that make one whole. They’re best friends, non-bio brothers, and lovers. And they want one thing, and one thing only. To be Mammons entire world. They’re OBSESSED. I mean OBSESSED with him. The only problem is that Mammon is now a busy man. And giving into his wants and compulsions over his responsibilities is proving to be difficult.

Bel and Gore have a strong relationship. They always have, but can their love withstand adding another? 👀

This book is all things MMM / MM SPOICE. These three are absolute delicious, filthy, dirty spice. They’re hot, they’re cruel, they’re degradation, obsession, praise, humiliation, and feminization all rolled into one crazy package.

This book and these boys are not for the faint of heart. They’re absolutely TOXIC. Please read all TWs before proceeding. This is not a fluffy, light read. But man oh man did I enjoy being back with them again. MADDISON, GIMME ASI THE WEAPON🫡😌 I’m ready.

*Full ARC Review *

This was highly anticipated release for me and it didn't miss at all, I mean we got >>>MMM, Feminization kink, and toxic asf relationship.

This book was just a fun read but also at parts had me stressed out. I love seeing Gore and Bel's relationship with Mammon. I also liked how although it was dark didn't feel as dark to me as Leviathan. I would still check all Trigger Warnings ⚠️

My only qualm would be it felt after I got passed 50% I blinked & the book was over. Unsure if that's just a me thing though, I just wanted a bit more cause it felt like it started off really strong for me. Overall I really didn't enjoy this book & can't wait for Asi's book!!

I think I liked this better than Leviathan 🫢 (I’m sorry bc the barking that man does cringes me out so bad lol) But all things considered I ate up Bel, Gore and Mammon’s toxic dynamic. The protectiveness Bel had for Gore made me 🥹 and the way Gore just wanted to please him and make him happy ugh.

“They tried to take you away from me once, and I made sure they were all dead. We’ll always have each other, baby. No matter what.”

And then Mammon comes into the picture once and for all after those two kept egging him on but when they got together it was just 😮‍💨🤭 and the sweet moments they shared together were perfect.

“The three of us. Together. Wrapped in each other’s arms. We don’t even have to be fucking. Maybe we could just be staring deep into the other’s souls, wondering why there was ever a time when it wasn’t us.”

I love how we got to see Mammon’s POV on how much he loves and cares about them. He said he wouldn’t ever be able to change for them but we knew that wouldn’t last because his kitten and princess have him eating out of the palms of their hands hehe.

“I’ve officially lost it. My control. I said I wouldn’t change for them, but that’s what happened. By even admitting that I didn’t do this for myself, they’ve altered my very mindset without even trying.”

The amount of times Bel had me LOL’ing were infinite. The crazy shit that came out of his mouth was deranged but we expected nothing less. I also just love Gore sm and our princess really needs to be protected at all costs!! That sweet boy just wants to please the people he loves 🥹

Lastly, I just love the way Mammon loves and spoils them (in his crazy way of course) and how much Bel and Gore just seek him out to feel safe and protected. They have a one of a kind toxic relationship but it’s theirs and I couldn’t be happier lol.

“Let it be twisted. Let it be toxic. Let it be dangerous. Just let it be ours.”

“The three of us together are so wickedly wrong, but twisted enough to make it right. Because, at the end of the day, who says the heroes always have to win?”

Mammon Review

I have been waiting for this book since I finished reading Leviathan. Once I read that small snidbit of Mammons book at the end, I knew it would be end game. This book was everything I needed it to be. Bel, Gore, and Mammon fit so perfectly together. I love how Mammon wanted them bc they were so different. His little princess being so sweet and caring. Then his kitten being a brat that fights back. They were made for each other. I truly don’t know how to continue with my life now that I have to wait for Asmodeus’ book. What ever will I do. Maddison Devlin continues to write such amazing books. Her writing has me wanting more every time. I have never read anything even remotely close to her level of writing. She makes me fall in love with all her characters as soon as they are introduced. I missed Levi, Luc, and Asi so much, so I’m so glad we got to see even more of them. Don’t even get me started on how her smut has me SWEATING. Literally having to take a break so I can calm down and then RE READ it all over again. Unmatched. I think this series has quickly become one of my top 3 favorites. Gore, Bel, and Mammon tugged at my heart strings. All three of these guys have turned my world upside down. I wanted to finish this as quickly as I could bc I finally had it I’m my grasp, but then got sad when I was done bc I wasn’t ready for it to end. I don’t want to give anything away but just prepare to have ur heart absolutely crushed then slowly pieced back together again. My poor boys. Thankfully they all had each other to bring light back from the darkness they were in. I’m smiling just thinking about the amazing life they get to live with each other. These guys made me so happy. Thank u Maddison for letting me review an ARC of this amazing book. I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Also can we pls just talk about that bonus chapter. Um. Yea. Im gonna need A LOT more of that thank u:)

Not as good as the first one, but I liked it. Now, the bonus chapter tho? That was probably my favorite chapter in this book, that was.. something 🥵

Now I have to wait for God knows how long for Asi's book, gaaaaaaaah.

*Update 17/7-25

Unfortunately, I read a gigantic spoiler for Asi's book and I've decided to no read it. I've also come to a conclusion that I don't like Mammon that much anymore (didn't particularly liked him much before, not even in this book, but still).

I’m disappointed in this book. It did not live up to the expectations I had after reading the first book in this series. There was more spice than plot, and I don’t feel like we got enough backstory for the main characters. It was 🫤 for me. 🖤

“But that’s what violence does. It has a way of shifting your priorities, of making you realize things you thought you could keep hidden. I know now that I’d die for them.”

Oh my gosh! I have been waiting for this book since the second I read the snippet at the end of Leviathan. I knew that these three were going to be absolutely crazy, and they did not disappoint. This book had me going through so many emotions, and our boys all went through so much. So for this book to pull me apart and then be able to still piece me back together in the end and have it still be this insane, morally toxic book I love it. I cannot wait to read the next book because I am so curious about our next boy. Also, that bonus chapter I am absolutely loving this dynamic and would 100% not mind occasionally seeing this in future books.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was probably one of my most anticipated reads and it didn’t disappoint. It had everything I wanted!

I enjoyed seeing how deep Bel and Gore’s relationship ran, and ofc I loved how easily Mammon fit in their relationship. They are such a crazy bunch, but I needed those vibes in a book. I haven’t read a good dark romance in a while and this provided that to me and more. Also, the plot was interesting too. I have a feeling the conflict with the resistance isn’t over yet, so I’m excited to see how they will be delt with in Asi’s book.

1st off, CHECK THE TRIGGERS!!!
this is not a jump in without reading them
With that being said. This is an MMM that is dark, depraved, and dirty AF. I thought book one had me speechless, but this one hooked me in, and now I need Asmodeus book like air. Mammoth, Beelzebub, and Belphegor are about as unhinged and toxic of a relashinship as you are going to find, but in their world, you couldn't ask for anything else.

"Like toys, I wanted them, and I broke them when they threatened to mean too much to me. I dipped into the dream and panicked when I realized it was far better than any reality I had been living in."

Toxicity to the extreme. I wanted to push Mammon off a cliff for most of the book. But I adore Bel and Gore. I mean... they are toxic too but the love they have for each other... ugh my heart. And they are funny. Who doesn't love a little humor with their depraved reads.

I strongly suggest reading the content warnings before diving in. There are a few very uncomfortable situations. Overall I enjoyed it and can't wait for the next one.

When I say I couldn’t put this down, I really mean it. I got to 60% before even realizing it. It hit everything. Humor, emotion, rage, and heat. There’s violence, blood, and chaos filling the streets of this small Alaskan island.

As with Leviathan, be sure to check the trigger warnings‼️‼️

Mammon and the terror twins, Bel and Gore, were so good together. Their relationship was beyond toxic and full of severe codependency, but it was absolutely beautiful for them. They each brought something the other two needed, making them perfect for each other.

Bel and Gore were so chaotic, and they were like two puzzle pieces that fit together so well. Gore with his sweetness and kindness. Be with his protectiveness and devotion. I loved watching them cause mischief. And despite the, you know…killing and mayhem, they were so cute. Gore must be protected at all costs.

Mammon, as the leader of his family, needs constant and complete control. Bel and Gore have consistently tested that control for a long time. Watching him lose it a bit had me smiling. I was already interested in him when he first shows up in Leviathan, so I loved getting a deeper look into him.

I didn’t think I would be this obsessed with this series. Can’t wait for book 3 and the mysterious Asi.

I received an advanced copy and this is my voluntary review

This book was heavy. Please know the trigger warnings ,
I had to take multiple breaks while reading
Belphegor had my heart in shreds , Beelzebub had me
in a constant state of protection, and Mammon had
me by the balls (that I literally don’t have).
There was love, vicious murder, hot af sex, sa , kidnapping and
so much more. I honestly have a hard time putting into words
how much I loved this book and these men.

I would like to begin this interview by saying that you have to be really careful if you want to read this book, do not take the TW lightly, even if you already read the first of the series do a double check. Keeping that in mind, I didn't like this book too much, the story is a bit messy, the beginning is good but after a while everything just get mixed up and you feel like you lost some pieces in the way. This could also be an element that the author wanted, so I won't spend to much time on that, but I did not like it. Furthermore, I HATED the dynamic that there was between the twins and mammon, everything, from the A - Z. At the beginning i can understand Mammon but after a very few pages I just can't get an hold of what that man is thinking. As crazy as it seems the twins are more understandable, they're actions and feelings are at least coherent. However if you like cahotic, cruel, bloody and crazy books this one may be the one for you.
