Girl power all the way with this one. Whew honey.
Watching the Growth of Matilda through this series has been part of my addiction. Seeing her come into her role and taking it like the Queen she is was just so AHHHHH!!! There is not an appropriate word for that feeling, if your a girls girl your just gonna wanna scream with excitement for her.
The plot thickens and twist just like we love and come to expect with Eve but still what a ride to be on.
Matilda and her men prove that with the right people, with love and commitment nothing can break you. You will always come out on top.
I’m so in love with this series and its characters that it’s so hard to say goodbye but atleast one thing is for sure… a re read is definitely in the future!!!!

What an amazing final book to the series!
Matilda and the guys are back for their final book! Tilly is such a great character - she's strong and resilient. She was able to overcome the experiences that her family put her through. As always Vex is my favorite, along with a certain Headmaster.
This series has it all action, spice, romance, great character development and world-building. This a must read.

Found Family
This is the final installment of this series. Loved it. It's definitely about how cool Chaos is and how much I need to get one....kidding sorta of.
So much happens here that you don't know where to look. Questions are answered, battles are fought, and a HEA is found. It is not smooth sailing and you will be going through all the emotions. Loved it

Action starts just where the last book left us. Action packed right to the end. Just when you think all is good, and that Tilly and her guys get to chill and relax, another curve ball comes out of left field to keep them on their toes.

Umm what the fuck was that?…..😒
Disappointed is an understatement. I’m not sure why the plot really wasn’t plotting like it was in Books 1 & 2 but thanks to that, I had so much more room to focus on the staleness of it all. The plot was really overshadowing all of the issues I kept finding with this series but since there was hardly a plot to speak about in this installment….here we go.
First thing I noticed was that the writing style seems a lot more juvenile than it did in the first two and no matter how badly I wanted more from the characters, she just wouldn’t give it to me. 😂 not in ANY of the books. The only character with a semblance of complexity was Matilda and even that wasn’t as climactic as I would’ve expected. I understand this started as an insta love thing but in my opinion that’s all the more reason Vex, Luc, and Draven should’ve had a deeper story and more character growth than they did throughout a 3 book series. The growth they did achieve was cute but it was also a get it together or die kind of thing.
The dialogue is….beyond cringe, ESPECIALLY during the spicy scenes. Not only is the talking weird and unnecessary, but the sexual encounters themselves are so unrealistic, it’s laughable. It’s almost like they were written by some sex depraved man. There’s no buildup, no smooth flow into the spice, nothing sexy about it. It’s just, “he RAMMED his cock into me with BRUTAL precision…pump 1, pump 2….finished. Onto the next” over and over throughout the pages. 🫠 no dude. Just no.

This is the book where the curse has been broken and now it’s the last home stretch of nonsense before everyone can finally relax. I was expecting to be enthralled, blown away, screaming at my Kindle. Instead, it was all too easy for her and the guys to finish off the two all powerful bosses, her mother (a literal ancient primordial goddess) and her brother (a Demi-god who’d been powering up for eons to defeat her and take her power). With that knowledge, I was expecting a struggle, somebody to get fucked up, almost dead, something! But nope. Everything went smooth and pretty much according to plan 🥲 and the best part is, it took all of 5 minutes to defeat them both. 😂
Oh! And let me not forget how in order to help stabilize magick so it doesn’t collapse, a life binding ritual is required between Vex and Matilda. Apparently we were all supposed to assume that a life binding ritual = we’re married now, your new name is now Matilda Blackwell 🙃. BYE!
This book was all over the damn place. I initially wanted to read the other series in the MistHallow Academy Universe, but I think I’m cool on that especially after seeing other reviews mention the same sentiments as me.
Now to read something that’s going to scratch the character depth and complexity itch I was craving from this entire series.

Eve out did herself with this finale! This has become my absolute favorite book of hers yet. I can not explain well enough to you, how much I loved this book. Between the action, the spice, the romance and all swoony worthy moments. We get to see differences between characters and little Easter eggs about up coming stories. (HINT HINT) You have to read this to understand my obsession!
Matilda (Tilly)- WOW just wow! This character went through some things, and came out swinging for the scary forest! There were times we saw weakness and it made her more relatable to me. I wanted to throttle her and hug her at the same time. Loved her growth! Well done!
Vex- I'm not crying... your crying! This man is my everything. I'm so happy that he got everything he needed in life and more but I'm sad to see him go. He has become my favorite book boyfriend character of all time. His strength, his loyalty, his warmth and his darkness was true perfection. I just love him way to much.
Draven- I didn't see some of the things that happened in this book to happen. I loved how he was able to let his guard down and warm up to certain people. (Have to read to understand) His possessiveness was so freaking hotttt!! "Mine" When he said that I was screaming "YES!! YOURS!!" everytime he said it. Goddess this man!!
Luc- I have a deeper appreciation for him now more than ever. There are certain scenes in this book that has me swooning and tearing up for how he truly understands the people around him. Just thinking about it now makes me melt. His character growth was note worthy!! Love him so much and the d!ck room!
Luke Blackthorn- Yess Daddy!! I never knew how much it would be a turn on when a man like him being so livid!! I would have submitted instantly!! I can't wait to see what is next for our Headmaster!
Chaos- I need him as a stuffy!! Like yesterday! Love his little unhinged self!!
I am so sad to see this be the end but I know we will see some of them again one day. I highly recommend this book and author!!

Suitable ending for the trilogy
If i misspell names, my apologies, i hooe you can still figure out who I'm talking about. This Kindle's autocorrect has some funky ideas. The main reason I took a star off is because there were enough (to me) annoying grammar/spelling errors and some inconsistencies that bothered me. For example to instead of two. And Vex life bonding with Tilly and doing it mutually, while the twins would bond with her one-sided. Tilly never bonds with them, they'll only bond to her. Yet all 4 experience it all in essentially the same way. The story was good enough that I won't remember these things for long, but at the moment it was disappointing, like the proofreader decided to quit. Some things were left flapping in the wind, like Tilly obeying Drayven, when he commands the skellies at one point. There was no real reason for her going to her knees, unless the idea was to show D's power, but then the author came back and referred to it later as possible sign of Tilly becoming a succubus. We know that didn't happen, but never explained it otherwise. Anyway, this book we had lots of resolution, revenge, complicated family stuff to work out, magical system to preserve, stabilize, establish, evil to defeat, or was it evil, since D and L are literally princes from hell? Oh my lanta, yes! I absolutely love Tilly and Vex (the other two are okay too, lol). This is the final leg of their epic journey, and I devoured it! Tilly is strong, and I love how her painful journey is unraveling. There are some epic twists; I was surprised, hurt, and loved every minute of it! Vex and the boys support Tilly and complement her perfectly. About halfway through, I thought everything was wrapping up nicely and our girl would have her happy ever after. Then I realized I was only halfway, and I buckled in for the heartache, lol. This is one of my all-time favorites, and I have all three books in my basket for purchase because I need the trophies for my shelf, not just the fantastic ebooks. I'll be really tempted to grab the audio if this series makes it there because I need all the versions!

Matilda and her men show that once you have your team in place, with love nothing can stop you, nothing can break you, never gonna give them up never gonna let you down... sorry.... brain broke for a moment there! This final chapter of the series is action packed, starting from page one and on to the last page. Curve balls, chills, thrills, twists, turns it does not stop, and you don't want it too. I am always a side kick girl and Honestly Chaos is probably my favorite ever. Tilly is strong and she just needed some boosts to have the girl power to show exactly who she is.

Loved this final book in the series! Tilly is a wonderful character - strong and able to overcome so much that her family has put her through! She has 3 amazing guys by her side willing to do anything for her, and I’m totally obsessed with them! Hands down they are some of my favorite characters. I enjoyed reading new types of characters that were from Hell and Vex who we met in another series. It was great to see his happily ever after. Also loving her familiar - not your typical familiar which makes it interesting. This is a must read, the whole story is action packed and keeps you on your toes.

So much was packed into this last book in this series!! Nothing stopped the fast paced action, cracking plot twists and turns in it all the way through it.
Matilda (FMC) has grown so much since the first book but in this one she totally came into her own and grew in strength. Both in character and her powers. As she grew so did the guys with their relationship with Matilda and as a tight knit dynamic. Relying on each other. Family, trust and love was a major factor in this finale. I can't tell you how much I loved reading this series. Just bloody brilliant.

Oh my! This series is the ultimate! My personal favourite in paranormal academy - the characters are to d!€ for (lucky there's a smegsy necromancer) and the what the guys come together to be a unit is beautiful to watch as they struggle to put aside lifelong grievances, but they do manage it and they are so strong together. Exquisite story that had me captivated from the first word until the last full stop

The ending you didn't know you needed! This is just a perfect ending and I for sure hope there's more to come in MistHallow Academy but knowing the author there for sure is more to come and I'm here for it. The story is continuing and I love the characters already so much but to see Matilda grow into her new role? Chef's kiss really. Love a strong girl and she is absolutely a firecracker and words can't describe really what I feel after finishing. Maybe my new favorite book by this author!

Eve Newton is a phenomenal writer. And this book delivered. Curse Broken is the third and final book in this series at MistHallow. Eve has a way of twisting things that you really don't expect. Her characters are enchanting. Matilda the FMC and her men Vex, Luc, and Draven are exceptionally well written. I had a hard time with choosing a favorite between Vex and Draven. This is a must read series it draws you in and keeps you in.

Fantastic ending to this series. This is the third and last book in the Misthallow Academy series. Been waiting for this one. First off love being back with Tilly. I really really liked her as FMC. Loved the guys as well.( Who doesn’t love Vex)

Curse Broken delivers a thrilling and steamy conclusion to the trilogy! The Misthallow setting is a favorite world and I love revisiting it and the focus on new magical elements in each set of stories keeps the series feeling inventive. Plus, the witty banter—especially from the adorable Chaos—was a total delight!

The conclusion of Matilda's story was epic. She finally realized who and what she is, and she took no s**t doing it!! Her relationships with the guys evolved and cemented into something amazing. They realized they had depths to them they never realized existed. I was sad to see this series end, but I'm excited for what's to come next...(cough, cough) Blackthorn!

This is it the final book of the trio, and it definitely exceeds all expectations! I love the little twists that are put in. You will not regret reading this series, and be a little jealous that Tilly has Chaos... really, I need an araxi in my life... and maybe Draven, Luc, and Vex *wink wink*

The Curse Broken is the final book in the Cursed Descent series placed in the MistHallow Academy universe. Matilda and her guys let nothing stop them. There are so many twists and turns in this series. The action never stops. I was so engulfed in this book from the beginning. I highly recommend this series.

Good Read
This book brought the story to an epic conclusion which had me turning pages just to find out what happened next. I loved the story and the fact that just as it seemed everything wrapped up something would send everything sideways. The characters were great and I loved each and every one of them by the end. I would recommend giving this book a read.

Tilly has grown so much from when we first met her to now. But that wasn't the only growth to be seen in really loved what the group dynamics became and how much of a family unit they became. This was an amaizng way to conclude this seriea

What a story! Tilly and the gang are back to show us that with each other, anything is possible! This book had to many twists and turns, I felt like I was on a rollercoaster! What an exceptional continuation to their story. Highly recommend!

The troubles never ceased ...
At times, I was uncertain anything could go right for this quad. Every time you think something is settled, bam, new problem. That being said, it was still a very enjoyable read. I really liked the epilogue as well.

This is Tilly and her mens last books and a lot happens to stabilize magic. The growth the characters exhibit is life changing and the little bit at the end makes you want more.
This is Tilly and her mens last books and a lot happens to stabilize magic. The growth the characters exhibit is life changing and the little bit at the end makes you want more.

I feel like I was getting yelled at the entire book. The characters were either contemplative or screaming. The trips back and forth under Misthallow got really freaking old too. I guess this just felt very un-climatic to me. #letdown

1st series for me and this author. Solid all away around and I am not usually one for the ending trope BUT I love the set up. Will be for sure reading more from this author.
