Scarred on the inside and the outside, Valentina has spent the majority of her life living and working online. Online, no one can see her, so she can be whoever she wants to be, do whatever she wants to do…love whoever she wants to love. And she fell hard for the sexy thirst trap behind the devil mask. He’s smart, sensual, and flirtatious, but also sweet, funny, and he makes her feel seen for the first time ever. But…he’s never actually seen her. And it's better that way; someone as beautiful as him would never want to be with someone like her. Right?
Redtube
Redtube, the tattooed tech specialist for the Unchained MC. Sinful, seductive, everything every woman (and some men) want online. A thirst trap, a man behind a devil mask, who uses his sexuality and wickedness to appease his gluttonous lusts. A man who can have any woman he wants, any time he wants, and in any way he wants.
But what happens when he falls for a woman who slides into his DMs, all sass and vulnerability? A woman so cloaked in mystery, she hides her face behind a blacked-out screen and NSA level cyber security.
What happens when that woman finally reveals herself…and shatters his world to pieces?
Gluttony is the 3rd book in the Unchained Hearts series and is an MC adjacent, other woman drama, overheard, uncovered, blind love, friends-to-lovers romance featuring a manwhore thirst trap and a scarred, curvy woman who brings him to his knees. As with all Eve Black books, there’s a swoony HEA, without cheating or cliffhangers.
Tropes:
~ OW Drama ~ Betrayal ~ Blind Love ~ Scarred, Shy Plus-sized Heroine ~ MC Adjacent ~ Overheard/Uncovered ~ Small Town ~ Thirst Trap Hero
Eve Black is the sexy contemporary romance-loving alter-ego of a sweet historical romance author...who also writes dark, sexy medieval romance under another name. Eve is one of several personalities in one crazy package. When Eve isn't writing books, she is editing other people's books, freelance writing marketing content, or wrangling her children. For fun, Eve loves to read (obviously) sexy contemporary and historical romance books, binge-watch old Supernatural, Burn Notice, Leverage, and Lucifer episodes on Netflix, and play mind-numbing games on her tablet.
Eve lives in an untidy house on a little over an acre in rural Northeast Pennsylvania with her husband of 17 years and their four children, three cats, and one chicken.
Good writing but horrible MMC and in the end weak MFC. MMC is a big whore online streaming of hook ups he teasing women sexually turns off the camera and fucks them. He takes hair ties as a count for his literal bedpost so it can be seen on camera as his count climbs.
Him and h meet online and develop a relationship yes a relationship where they confess feelings he’s all sweet I’ll wait for you. Here is a secret he waits 3 days and then fucks random woman at a gym. He proceeds to fuck multiple other women all the while continuing his online relationship with the h who he really wants and cares about.
She decides after just 40 something days to surprise him in person finally ready, only the surprise is on her when she overhears him talking to friends about hooking up and the hair ties. She also has to see him meet up with a OW he setup to hookup with earlier that day. She watches them leave. She goes home devastated and gets online to his account that she had not been watching as they were in a relationship and talking in private. She is further devastated to see witness of hookup but the hair ties have increased since he told her he would wait. She goes back to check this.
At first I thought the h was going to be awesome she goes to him in person after a few days and reams him. It was wonderful. She points out he knew what she would think about waiting meant. That he wanted those ow more than her.
That unfortunately did not last long he goes all out to win her tattoo his dick with her name dies video showing basically saying he is taken etc. the problem is that he full out manipulates her into saying it was not cheating and once they say they are in a relationship and exclusive he would not fuck others. He gets her to forgive him and the first OW from the gym shows up and starts making trouble. The h still stays. The thing is Eve made her into a badass but with super self esteem issues about her looks and body. She did a good job of it that I ended up with a gross taste in my mouth because it felt like this possible great h was settling. She was settling for a guy that could not last 3 days without fucking ow. That fucked multiple women after expressing his feelings and saying he would wait. I know she said no cheating in this but I disagree. They were very much in an emotional relationship and he knew it was wrong he felt guilt but not enough to stop. He told her he was sorry he hurt her etc and he showed remorse for his actions but he did not admit or take full responsibility instead he manipulated her into agreeing it was not cheating. He did not show any real loyalty to her. Getting his dick wet was more important than her. He was attracted to all these other women and happily fucked them. The age old they meant nothing was disgustingly bad. She was a virgin of course which was another layer of poor plot. Another way he was able to manipulate her. I really wish she had some great sexual experience and really had enjoyed sex in the past. The walking STD and the virgin is becoming an overused trope. I don’t believe he will keep it in his pants if they can’t have sex for some reason. He was more concerned with getting her to say it was not cheating than taking responsibility and caring about her feelings. This is far from a romance. It’s a man whores fantasy to fuck multiple women while having the loving emotional connection relationship on the side.

I try really hard to like these books from this author, but it's really difficult. I get they're all BBW books, but they're all unfortunately too similar. No variety whatsoever. I'm always hoping the author will add something different. A curvy FMC needing validation from a man to feel that she's worthy. I think that's my biggest critique with this series especially. These two met online through Instagram. Him being a paid manwhore with an Only Fan's account, who's also in a MC, her being a nerdy hacker. He's pushing her to meet and she's holding off because of her looks. Camera turned off always when they were chatting online .And I have to say, because I read so many books with cheating MMCs that in my opinion this H did cheat even though labels were never given. He made promises to the h, even love, told her he would wait for her, knowing what "wait" meant to her, but then went behind her back and continued fucking women for his Only Fan's page. Cringe 😬. Author tried to pull it off that they were both equally guilty, but I disagree. He even felt like he should stop his promiscuity, but he needed to pump his ego. 🙃 And he basically had zero self control. The h was under the impression that he was only acting in the scenes and then sending them on their merry way. How she was ok with that in the beginning I have no idea. He was so grateful that she was though. 😅Completely unbelievable considering she's a hacker and knows exactly what people get up to as trafficking is mentioned. Only lightly. To be honest? He was gross. There I said it. Sorry. The FMC was weak and lonely and probably would have settled for anyone who blew her up with affection and praise. 😑 I wish I had something more polite to say, but I don't.
Safety: in my opinion he cheated. People can argue with me until the cows come home. Though because she was so impressionable considering she was a virgin she snorted everything he said like it was the best cocaine the world had to offer.
I keep waiting for Emily and Frost's story as it seems to be a marriage in trouble kind of thing. He's been emotionally cheating throughout the series seems like.

“Because she was a coward. A fat, ugly, scarred coward.”
“…she only ever left her house to go to work, the store, and Cool Hands—and only ever while covered from neck to toes, a ridiculous attempt to disguise her size and all the lumps and bumps that came with being a bigger girl. Thankfully, her physical scars were easily covered by her shirts, but they did nothing to hide her big tits and belly rolls”
—who really wants to read their heroine say this about herself?!?
Thank you, Eve Black for the ARC! I was biting my nails waiting for this — the teasers in your FB group were chef’s kiss!
Redtube is the MC’s resident tech/hacker who also has a kinky exhibitionist streak, so he posts on only fans and on IG. Valentina (His Daisy), slid into his DM’s last year and they had been talking everyday, falling for each other, but she kept her face hidden. She’s a formidable hacker in her own right, who isolates herself in her house because she has bad scars from a car accident when she was 12.
She thinks RedTube has promised to wait for her, and the book starts off by her going to the bar to try to meet him in person. She feels betrayed when she overhears a conversation about the “tokens” he keeps from his encounters, as well as when she sees him leaving with a hot blonde. She is crushed, and the rest of the book is trying to find their ways back to each other. Luckily it doesn’t take toooo long, LOL.
Technically, not cheating because they’re not in a relationship. But their definitions of “waiting” are very far off from each other, so ultimately, Valentina needs to figure out what she and RedTube mean to each other.
Some OW drama from a crazy unhinged woman who claims that she’s pregnant with his baby.
The real gut punch to me was a glimpse of Frost and a club girl in an intimate scene in his office on his couch. Can’t wait for Frost’s book…I think I will be equal parts raging and upset…
Ultimately, great HEA believable between Valentina and Damian. His public statement about her was an amazing gesture, and such a great trope that I always love.
Thank you, Eve for letting me read this fantastic book❤️

I received the arc for this book this afternoon. After threatening everyone with death if they bothered me before I finished I locked myself away and read till I was done. There was no putting this book down once I started it is that good.
Red is the Unchained hacker and an online thirst trap. Val is a white hat hacker who knows Red’s online persona. Through a series of DMs these two connect and feelings start to form. Val and Red both have issues and their leads to a misunderstanding that rips Val’s heart out and in the process Red’s.
The coming together of these two was realistic and heartfelt. I truly believes in their HEA. For those of you that have read the first two in this series you will get more of an intro to Frosts story 😡.
If you have not read the first two in this series Affliction and Treachery do yourself a favor and read them ASAP. This is hands down one of my favorite series. Eve Black has knocked my socks off with this one.
While the premise of a thirst trap hottie falling for a woman he only knows online is tantalizing and a likely fantasy for many men and women who use social media... the execution of it for this story fell a little short.
Though they've been talking for going on a year, our MCs haven't met in person, and the MMC hasn't seen the FMC at all as she is shy and super body-conscious. 48 days before the start of the story, they make an agreement where MMC is to "wait" for her, while she battles her inner demons and decides to meet in person to start their relationship in real life. It is a very grey area as to whether he cheated during this time because there weren't labels... but let's be real. If he loved her blindly, as he claims he did, then yes he cheated. The excuse of primal urges and having "needs" is total garbage. Despite his misogynistic mentality, MMC does realize he fucked up and is quick to work at rectifying the mess he put himself in. The majority of the book is him groveling for forgiveness and working on moving forward together.
Things I enjoyed about the book: > His immediate guilt and regret for being a selfish dumbass -> the groveling ---> getting a tattoo for her as part of the groveling process ----> his romantic, dirty mouth -----> HIS maturity to sit down and talk it out as adults and not gloss over anything uncomfortable. Total open communication to clear the air. ------> He LOVED her, all of her. Size, scars, and all. Zero hesitancy. He was the only positive thing related to the plus-size rep in the book.
Things I disliked about the book:
> His road name is Redtube. Godawful. Cringe. Could not take that seriously at all. Yes, his name is after the porn site because he fucks so much. Charming. The fact that FMC knows his actual name but called him by his handle for the majority of the book just made it even weirder for me.
> I can handle crude language. I can give leniency for creativity. But there are certain phrases I never thought I'd see in writing, in a published, adult romance and not a Wattpad story. Examples include "pussy musk" (ew) "trouser anaconda" (are we 12?) "pussy pounder" (again, are we 12?)
> For an author who pushes plus-size rep and body positivity within her books, I felt zero positivity in this particular story. Due to a tragic accident, the FMC is left heavily scarred from severe injuries and skin grafts. As far as I could tell, it appears to be contained to just her torso so it's covered easily by shirts. But this girl has severe body image issues from it. I don't blame her for struggling to accept and love her new body. But it's been TWELVE years. You're an incredibly smart person, with a ton of money from your hacker contract work, and you haven't had ANY therapy to work through your PTSD, grief, survivor grief, body image... nothing?!?!? Lost some respect for that. Her repetitive hate against her body painted a vivid picture, but she never learned or gained any confidence in herself during the story at all. She begrudgingly accepted that the MMC loved what he saw and her scars didn't scare him away... but male validation isn't really positivity-affirming. This would have been slightly less frustrating if we just knew she struggled with her scars. But it was her entire body she hated. Things that were unrelated to the injuries (i.e. floppy tits and fat ass). How is constantly drawing attention to her size in negative ways beneficial to the story?
> FMC had basically no character growth. It was very one-sided with the MMC doing all the work. Also, see the previous point about her body image issues. These fed heavily into a lack of trust or faith in a person she claimed to love. She was a hard character to relate to. She was whiney, naive, and a poor communicator.
> For a story about a guy with OnlyFans, who admits to loving to fuck... this is a sloooooow burn story. It doesn't hit until 85% and it's only ONE on-page spicy scene. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. It was a good scene, but I expected more between them on the page, not alluded to off the page.
I didn't hate this book, but I didn't love it either. And I wanted to love it. The concept of a thirst trap getting with a fan sounded like tons of fun, but I struggle with betrayal/miscommunication/other woman drama tropes. However, it is a pretty good example of male groveling so if you're into slow-burn romance featuring betrayal/groveling, then this book could work out for you.

I don’t typically write negative reviews, but I was genuinely looking forward to this book and it ended up being a huge disappointment. I rarely DNF books, and I can usually overlook clunky writing or even the occasional grammatical error. But this one? It had so many bizarre moments that I found myself either confused or unintentionally laughing. Plus I love a good romance book because the characters are typically, somewhat relatable but I just did not vibe with Val or RT. The final straw? The phrase “woman’s pu$$y musk.” I’m sorry, but just... no. That line alone was enough to take me completely out of the story—and unfortunately, there were plenty more like it. I wanted to love this, but I just couldn't get past the writing and editing. All my opinions, feel free to find your own!
I loved it, problem is I wanted more, Red was HOT 🔥 and Val, strong, sassy. Such a good storyline with glimpses of other MC characters, Frost’s day of reckoning is coming!
What I loved: I liked how Valentina/nickname Daisy(h) went to the club house to confront Redtube/Damian(H). For her to be self conscious but still go and confront the man made me like her character more. Also, I loved how she didn’t believe the ow at the end especially all the ugly things the ow was saying about her. Lastly, I loved how Redtube went after Daisy and made everything right at the end.
What I didn’t like: I wanted more of them together or this could be me being greedy lol. I also wanted to read the conversation between Frost and Redtube, when he went to tell him how he felt about him and the club woman. Can you tell I need Frost’s book now ;)
***Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: MC, OW Drama. H is a thirst trap on social media and is a manwhore. He continues to do this while talking to the h. h sees him on social media and decides to DM him. They start a friendship that turns into more. h has low self esteem after being in a car accident. H hasn’t seen what the h looks like and h asks the H to give her time. The h thought when he said he will wait for her that he wasn’t having sex with other woman. When she finally gets brave enough to meet the H in person, she goes to surprise him. There she overhears him saying that he is meeting another woman to take back to his place and he also mentions how after they have sex he saves a token from them. h upset leaves and confronts him online a day later. H knows he screwed up and goes about finding the h to make things right. Ow drama comes into play (she was a one night stand). Everything works out and they get their HEA.
Final thoughts: This book was a good read. I seriously can’t wait to read Frost’s book!!

This started out pretty good but then got redundant and dumb. Val is in an online relationship with a sex worker and then gets pissed that he’s doing sex work?! Make it make sense.
This was my first book by Eve Black and it won’t be my last! I absolutely loved Gluttony! Redtube and Val were amazing! I love the overheard trope, which I count this as. I am sucker for grovel and also for an alpha male and this book had all of that! I will definitely be going back to read the rest of this series and also every other one she has written and will be following her.
This book could be read as a standalone. I came in not having read the first 2 books in the series and never felt lost. It had enough that I will be going back to read them, but not enough that I couldn’t follow the book. It more whetted my appetite for more.
My heart broke for Val through the book. She had so many insecurities about her looks, despite her confidence in other areas. She was such a bad@$$ and a strong FMC that wouldn’t just let anyone walkover her, while also being so vulnerable where her looks were concerned. Her inner dialogues made me crack up and also made me cry at different times. I loved how she stood up for herself and then I loved when she took a leap of faith with Damian.
I was ready to hate Redtube at the beginning for the way he treated women. He was super cocky about women and how easily he could get them. I’m glad he didn’t cheat, as I really don’t consider his behavior cheating, but at the same time I did see Valentina’s point too. I never for a second doubted he would be devoted and faithful to her once they were together, though. I loved his possessiveness and slightly unhinged behavior where his Daisy was concerned. It was just the perfect amount of stalker-esque behavior where it came off more devoted than creepy.
I am new to Eve Black and was offered an ARC of this book and because I love reading I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did and have found a new author that I will be following! I can’t wait to read the rest of her books and also, I feel like Frost’s story will be next and I am kind of curious to see what is going on with him. Excellent book and I recommend this book and Eve Black to anyone who loves a good grovel by an alpha male. Loved it!💜
What can I say about this third installment of Eve Black's MC adjacent book Gluttony (Unchained Hearts). I was given an opportunity to read this early after receiving an ARC from the author before it hits the book shelves. It is a 5 star review from me! What I love most about Eve's characters are that they unapologetic to a tee and as frustrating as that made RedTube to me at times, it held true in her writing style.
I loved that this started out with them getting to know each other slowly. They started with just exchanges that turned into a feeling of trust between them, no judgements on her side for what he was doing allowed him to open up to her in a way he had not with other women. She in turn was able to put some of her fears behind her in building this relationship, but it all comes crashing down when when she makes a decision to meet him in person and not as the black screen she has been up until now. They had a conversation that he would "Wait" for her to decide thus the miscommunication begins. His version of wait and hers are vastly different and neither of them clarified to each other what this would entail. What she see's in person and on camera devastates her and leads to a huge confrontation on camera (where she reveals herself to him for the first time), then again in person.
There is OW drama (both on the crazy side and the unintentional side) but you have to read it to understand it.
Overall, so pleased with this book. I am a huge fan of Eve Black's writing, and I am so excited for future books in this particular series.
I received an ARC copy of this book and devoured it in a day. I'm a huge fan of Eve Black's writing and have enjoyed all of her books, gluttony was no different.
I wanted to give this book five stars and the only thing holding me back from that is that though the plus sized heroines in all the authors stories is one thing I absolutely love I felt that it was referred to in this book more than any of the others and sometimes it detracted from the scene in play. I would love to have seen more about the FMCs killer hacking skills but felt constantly reminded she was plus sized through the book.
Other than that the book is really well written with a great plot and likeable main characters with a believable HEA.
I count myself lucky and privileged to get my grubby little mitts on the ARC for this!😈
I love all of Eve Black’s books. Her writing style just does it for me because she tends to check either most or all of my boxes. ✅ Gut punch betrayal/ hurt of some kind ✅ Grovel/redemption ✅ Spice
There’s a bit of OW drama (which I loooove)but it comes more from H’s tendencies (you’ll see what I mean) Our h has a backbone (hallelujah!) and boy does she say all the things you’re hoping she will!
I don’t want to lay out plot or give anything away but this maaaay be a bit spoiler ish so beware;
Gut punch comes early on. I found it interesting the author started off with H and h already having established an emotional connection and then diving into the angst through inner dialogue as well as heated exchanges between main characters. I don’t tend to like flash backs too much in books but she fleshed out their budding relationship well through out the story without constantly kicking you back to the past. There isn’t a lot of extraneous plot lines outside of these two people and their romance (yay!) and both MC’s are fleshed out well and easy to empathize with.
Anyways, getting a 5 star from me really means that yes I would recommend this, yes I would read it again! Enjoy!
🌺 I absolutely loved this book! ❤️ Eve Black is an automatic buy for me! and this one did not disappoint! I really liked Valentina she was so Strong, and Redtube he was 🔥 and the smexy scenes were 🥵🔥 l 🌺 there wasn’t Cheating per se but Redtube did feel a little guilty so i guess on some level he felt he might be but they weren’t technically together.
🤪 loved the Crazy OW drama, she was whacked!! loved how Valentina finally trusted and believed in Redtube over the OW!
🌺 I also loved catching glimpses of the characters from previous books, and cannot wait for Frost and Emilys book it sounds like theres going to be lots of angst and drama!
🌺 I received this book as an ARC and this is my review. 🌺
I'm sure there will be those (including the author) that claim there was no cheating. I call bull$hit.
At first, Red claimed that there had been a “miscommunication” between him and Val, that he never meant that he was going to be faithful to her but only meant that he was going to give her some time to agree to be with him. However, later in the book, he admitted to himself that he had just used that as an excuse and that he had f*cked other women because he was pi$$ed at Val because she wouldn’t agree to meet him. He said, “… he’d known what he was doing was wrong, and that guilt had eaten at him each time he stuck his d!ck inside a woman that wasn’t Val. That’s when the “we’re not a couple” excuse would kick in, because they weren’t, not officially, because Val hadn’t wanted labels yet. And that had pissed him off. And, he’d taken that anger and butt-hurt and he’d done the stupidest f*cking thing he could; he’d let his d!ck do the thinking for him.”
Then, a few pages later, he was back to claiming that, “When I told you I would wait for you … I honestly thought that you had agreed to let me continue f*cking around as long as I didn’t get emotionally attached to any of them, like I am with you.”
I know from reading the other reviews that she was angry at him for approximately five minutes before he was able to gaslight her into saying he didn't cheat. I’m out.

I can't imagine a more worthless, unforgivable male.
Or a more pathetic doormat of a female with a sadder, more depressing future. There is nothing worth forgiving in the shallow, selfish, unworthy man she gives up any hope of happiness or self worth for. Someone that finds all his happiness and validation in innumerable sexual partners and social media following will never care about anything or anyone but themselves.
this book (and author) has quickly become my favourite!
the pain and angst, the heartbreak, the turmoil, the healing - all of it brought tears to my eyes, while breaking my heart and putting it together again..
Val - although she's shy and not confident (at the beginning) she is so strong, smart, kind and beautiful.. she does what she needs to do even though she doesn't want to and want to.. she stands up for herself, confronts Red and she is DONE (well mostly but you'll understand when you read it)
Red - he didn't have the best role models and although he knew what he did was wrong (deep down) he had his reasons and the second that he knew he hurt her, he wanted to fix and change and explain
I wish I could read it for the first time again (& again & again)
I cannot wait for Frost and Emily's book and anything else Eve releases!
I received this book as an ARC and finished it in one sitting. It was that good. The angst was top notch and heart breaking for the lead female, who has so many deep seated insecurities. Val is a reclusive amazingly smart tech nerd who found her love online. She just chose a man who thinks sex is transactional and post his exploits on the internet for profit. What does she really expect from him? The male lead Red is a clueless wonder that doesn’t seem to realize that fidelity is essential to trust and non-negotiable in a relationship. Were they together? Yes and no. They had been involved and invested in an emotional relationship without physically meeting. Red knew her insecurities and still slept with countless women when he knew she expected fidelity-and yes- that is what “waiting for you” means regardless how Red tries to justify it. This was my one big problem with the book. Red acknowledges that she was hurt, but somehow convinced her that it was also her fault because she didn’t “ believe” in him and his feelings. I cry BS here. Red even has a complete meltdown when Val brings up having sex with other men and having him watch- obviously no understanding of what his actions did to her psyche- just his own sense of entitlement. So when all is said and done, there is some public atonement and declarations of love, with a new complete devotion and change of attitude by Red, but if you are expecting a major grovel for public multiple partners videoed cheating, that is not what is here. Red is an unapologetic somewhat reformed manwhore. An epilogue would have gone a long way to show Reds continued devotion to Val in the future. His reasons for continuing his sexual exploits while “waiting” for Val makes you think that he may resort to his previous coping mechanisms if she fails to completely satisfy his need for full belief in him. And if she runs into anymore of Reds previous sex partners- which sounds really likely given his body count and their geographic location- the emotional impact to her will likely hit her self-esteem over and over. Overall, highly recommend this book. Gives all the feels and if you are looking to empathize with a heroine and cry with her, this is your book.

When Eve introduced the muse for Redtube to her Facebook group, I legitimately had heart palpitations. I wanted to lie on the floor and yell, “PIMP IN DISTRESS.”
It’s currently 4:20 am, and I absolutely devoured this book in one sitting. If it were possible, I’d rate this higher than five stars. ‘Gluttony’ had me tearing up in one chapter and then cracking up in the next. The spice was muy caliente 🥵 The betrayal and groveling were amazing. The OW drama was lighter compared to the first two books. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the OW was cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs, but there wasn’t as much drama(which I enjoyed since I wanted to focus more on Val and Red’s relationship). The Scream(helloooo @ghostface_gulfcoast), Supernatural(who doesn’t love Dean Winchester?), and Resident Evil(Milla Jovovich is my ultimate girl crush *fans self*) references were top-tier! Overall, this was an amazing book. Hands down, my favorite out of the three in the series so far. I’m beyond excited to have my heart broken and put back together again with Emily and Frost’s book. Until then, ‘Gluttony’ will be in my re-read rotation pile! Thank you to the wonderful Eve Black for allowing me to read an ARC copy of this book for my honest feedback
I got this as a surprise ARC from Eve. This book was everything I was hoping for after reading the first two books of this series and getting a glimpse of Redtube and his proclivities. I was happy to see that Valentina didn’t put up with Redtubes excuses and betrayal. She stood up for herself even though her self esteem about her looks made her feel that she wasn’t good enough for him. I am excited to see what Eve comes up with next.
I actually really didn’t like this book at all. I was so excited by the premise and the possibilities with the story line and was let down at every turn. Big bummer. The hero was horrible and the heroine was a wet blanket. Not for me.
Okay, I've read all of Eve's books and I have to say that this one is my new favorite. It's starts out with a heartbreaking overheard/uncovered scene that brought me to tears, and it just keeps bringing the feels. I laughed (Val is hilarious as fuck), I smiled (I got to see what the other couples were up to), I cried (Val's heartbreak is visceral), and I got a little turned on (the chemistry between Val and Red--even when they weren't physically together--was off the charts HAWT). Redtube is complicated in his regrets and resentments that lead him to be an obtuse asshole to Val, and Val...well, she isn't completely innocent, either. Both of them came into the situationship with some baggage that only hurt them in the end. The OW drama was good (Shannon was all loose screws), and easily resolved, and I loved the Val didn't let it ruin things with Redtube. She was rational, logical, and actually quite funny when she was confronted by cray-cray Shannon.
What I really liked was that realization of impossible love--from online to IRL, opposites attract, and how they had their HEA even though one was supremely popular online sex symbol. He gave it all up to be with her, and that made my heart all warm and fuzzy.
This book had everything I could want in a good contemporary romance. I cannot wait for Frost and Emily's book because I have a feeling it's going to hurt so good.
Well I’m going to start out by saying if you like smut, betrayal, grovel, bbs, and more smut with a dash of mc, this is for you. There isn’t an extreme amount of plot. It’s a good storyline with a whole lot of sexy thrown in. Personally, I am a sucker for a betrayal trope. They get me every time. This has a decent betrayal. It’s not exactly a cheating betrayal but more of a miscommunication and lack of labels. There was no actual commitment for it to be considered cheating. Just an fyi for those that need that.
Redtube and Valentina were cute together and I really did like the book. The online meeting and talking to a thirst trap and falling in love is something I’m sure millions of women think about. A ripped hot mc member falling for a big girl and showing her that big girls are sexy too was icing on the cake!
I did get an arc but as always, I stick by my rating system. 3 stars -good writing -good editing -good storyline Overall good book that I would recommend to others, Especially and betrayal/grovel lovers out there!
I loved it! I love the growth of the main characters!! Eve takes a strong female lead with insecurities about her self and gives her amazing growth. I love the love story between the two main characters. Way to go Eve!!
Oh boy, Gluttony starts off with a bang! Our resident thirst trap, Redtube, has a completely different concept of “waiting” than our h, Valentina. This starts off with Val getting up the courage to finally meet Redtube in person, and let’s just say her eyes are opened wide and she doesn’t like what she sees. Redtube, on the other hand, has no clue that he’s hurt her and he’s just merrily going about his, um, “business” shall we say. When he finds out how badly he’s hurt Val he’s all in to make amends, but it ain’t gonna be easy. Between convincing Val that he does truly love her and fending off a seriously crazy woman, Redtube has a lot on his plate. I loved this book - all except the glimpse of whatever is going on with Frost. That literally hurt my heart……. Can’t wait to see what Eve had in store for us next!!
This was a nice read. A plus sized heroine n a playboy type hero. They found comfort n peace in each other and love blooms and conquers everything! Red was amazing n Val/ Daisy was sweet! Loved how she was successful in her profession! Love when authors writes professionally succesful confident heroines who shows vulnerability in their personal life. And how thw hero comes n give them love and peace n comfort and family! Beautiful!
Hooked me in from the first chapter! I also received an ARC and loved this story. Some great angsty moments and especially enjoyed the two person perspective. I couldn’t “pick a side”, as she gave us awesome insight into both lead characters and their thinking!
