IsabellaWe were best friends, partners in crime, and through secret letters to each other planned our whole future together. Until, one day, those letters stopped coming. It's been five years since I last saw or heard from him, and no matter how hard I tried, I was never able to move on. He always was and always will be someone who holds an important piece of my heart.
His absence left me with a broken piece, but over time that broken piece helped me grow stronger. But after all these years it’s finally time to come home and I'm determined to find the boy I left behind. The only boy I ever loved, the same boy who has dominated my heart and mind since the day we met.
He may have given up on me, but I never gave up on him. Fate brought us together once, maybe it can do it again.
NathanielFate brought us together but it also tore us apart. I never got to explain why I stopped writing to her. Losing her meant losing my only solace in this dark and cruel world. Having my life torn apart and my world flipped upside down was never the plan.
But, now that I'm back, I’m more determined than ever to show her I’m willing to fight for her, that I was always willing to fight. I allowed fate to tear us apart once, I don't intend on making that mistake again.Even if it means to keep her, I have to lose the only family I’ve ever known.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought it read easily and the story flowed well from the beginning. My curiosity was peaked and I spent the whole book wondering what was going to happen next. Part of that is that I am conditioned to expect a catastrophe around the next page (thanks My Girl). I'm not going to spoil if that catastrophe happened or not ;) All in all it was a really sweet story with some real life dark undertones.
This book gripped me!! It had me laughing, crying, swearing, and even screaming at the characters! It was an emotional roller coaster. There is so much character depth and development in this book. I LOVE Bella and Nate! I love their love. It had me swooning. Even the secondary characters (like Gabe) were written beautifully. This is CB Halliwell’s debut novel but it doesn’t read that way. It reads as if she’s done this most of her life. She has put her entire heart and soul into this beautifully written masterpiece and it shows! I truly can not wait for her future works. If I could give this book 10 stars I would!
Isabella gets lost while exploring around her grandparent’s cabin. Lucky for her Nate see her and helps her back. This will start an incredible relationship between them. But when her parents force her to move they will share letters until they reunion for summer and holiday. But Nate has secret that will break them apart. Now few years later after both goes through some much apart, they reunion and can’t be separate. You will see their friendship grow to love than your heart will break for what each goes through. Their love will carry you on an emotional rollercoaster that you want to ride. Plus you will see his brother Gabe grow and surprise you in the most unexpected way. For the author’s debut book, it’s one of the best book I’ve read this year.
I always struggle to read friends to lovers as its not one of my go to tropes, that being said this one was done so beautifully. Reading the two MCs slowly but surely fall for each other during their childhood with no understanding that what they were feeling wasn't anything to do with their friendship. This one could of been a movie! Albeit a very emotional, sob your heart out ugly cry movie!
This one has letters people.. LETTERS! I am a sucker for anything letter/text message based in a book and this one delivered for me. The way that Izzy and Nate communicate continously throughout their individual journeys after being pulled apart was so cute and it gave me all the fuzzy feelings.
It was such a beautiful read of friendship, but also growth, dealing with traumatic events and finding yourself. It gave me the feeling of "true love can conquer all"

This review comes from somebody who doesn’t usually read this type of book, but after several recommendations, I decided to give it a go. Boy, I’m so glad I did! It’s incredibly well written, transporting you straight into the lives of this group of friends. I absolutely LOVED every single character, including bad boy Gabe! It’s one of those books that I found very difficult to put down, in fact I finished it in 2 days, I just couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next. A lovely balance of drama, romance and a smattering of (not too raunchy) smut! I found it hard to believe that this is CB Halliwell’s first ever book. Well done her! Awesome book, it gets a definite 5 stars from me and I would 100% recommend you give this book a read!
Wow! This book put me through the emotional wringer! In the best possible way!
We first meet Nate and Bella when they are barely teenagers who find each other by accident in the woods and fall in love before they even know what it means. However, life happens and they lose each other only to reconnect years later when they have both changed.
I loved that we got to see the relationship between Nate & Bella grow as they aged and gained more life experience. Seeing the love and support they give to one other during the good and bad times was heartwarming. I cried more than once during this book and it broke me in the best way!
This was the cutest book I've read in a while , It gives you all the feels and there's no third act break up just a different kind of hurt that makes you tear up.
It's a sweet love story that follows izzy and Nate on the love story from just been to goofy kid best friends/penpals to bf/gf to soul mates.
This book is not only a love story but also reconnecting with family and making new friends and finding your place in the world and overcoming your insecurities and taking care of your mental health.
This book is so wholesome. A small town, found family tropes book. Loved the main characters Nate and Isabella (Bella). Seeing them grow throughout the book from children (aged 12 & 13) to teenagers (aged 18) and then finally young adults (aged 20 & 21) was just amazing. I will never shut up about these types of books, I love when authors show us the different stages of a character and how they evolve over time. I have but one quibble. Why, why, was Gabe ( Nate's brother) written in such a way that I love him one second and then the next I want to commit murder.
Not my usual type of book but I fell in love with the mmc from the beginning. Found family, love at first sight, this was the love story I needed cozy read but with twists and turns and loveable characters. I’m hoping for a book two right now. I laughed and cried all the way through.
You could feel the pain the characters felt - they had such difficult lives early on, and to hang on to the love they had for one another helped them through some of the rough times they faced. The ending had me in a chokehold and full of emotions. I want the next chapter in Nate and Bella’s lives!
I have been watching this book come into shape almost from the beginning, and it couldn't have come out more perfect!! I couldn't be more grateful to CB Halliwell, who brought me along on this journey. Bella and Nate's story is the one that went straight to my heart and will stay with me for a long time - probably forever. Their journey from kids into mature adults is told with exceptional skill, proving CB Halliwell is a genius (she really is special!!!). But more about the actual story. The dynamic of the group and their witty jokes make me laugh so hard and so often. The complicated relationships between characters had me gasping and shedding tears, but it was all worth it to see Bella and Nate fall in love and reunite again! "Forever Entwined" is a rollercoaster of emotions you won't be able to forget. The stunning and heart-shattering story worth more than five stars. I recommend it to everybody!
Reading Gabriel’s Salvation desperately made me want to read Forever Entwined. Especially as it was Nate and Izzy’s story, I wanted to see how they had rekindled their relationship. Getting into it, I realised that both books were set around the same timeline at a certain point, so now I know what Nate and Izzy were up to when it was Gabe’s story, and vice versa. Including where Riley would sneak off to *wink, wink*.
Being intrigued by Nate’s story, even revealing some parts about Izzy and Gabe that I didn’t get to see in the other book, were eye opening at times, allowing me to put two and two together, clicking and making more sense. My heart STILL is hurting for Gabe and what he had to go through, especially before everything went down. But Nate, baby Naateeeee… my heart HURTS. But GOD DAMN is he a giant sweetheart. Oh My God! He is the sweetest, the cutest little thing. I love how protective, how kind, how thoughtful, and how much he loves Izzy. GAAAHH. I want to wrap both Nate and Gabe up in a blanket and hug their trauma and fears away. Not to mention, what Izzy had gone through, I want to wrap her up in a blanket burrito too.
But damn. Did I cry at times, holy shit! Especially when those little pieces came together, why Nate called her Bella, the dress, and the rings. UUGGGGGHHHH. Don’t even get me started on Nate’s birthday. I nearly died at that one. The way I WAS SO CONFUSED AND HEARTBROKEN. LIKE WHAT THE FUCK. Overall, I was so happy that Gabe came around, how Nate and Izzy had their second chance at love, and they all found their forever family. SO SO CUTE! Loved it!
Izzy would go visit her grandparents in school vacations and in the summer. This book began when she was visiting them and they went to the cabin for the week. She would normally stay with het grandmother but something came up so she went to the cabin with her grandfather and cousins. One day they were out hunting and she was bored in the cabin alone so she decided to go out for a walk and got lost. She was climbing a tree to see if she could find the cabin so she could get back. She fell out of the tree and that is where Nate comes in. So he walked her back once she told him what the cabin looked like. He knew exactly where to go. They ended up spending the week together but Nate always had to be home by a certain time. She didn’t understand why he always had to rush off. Once she left they would write letters to each other until the next time. After spending a long time together her dad told her that they were moving to California. She didn’t want to go so she tried to convince them to let her move with her grandparents but her dad wasn’t having it. She ended up being gone for 5 years and when she was almost done with high school they all moved back and she went with her grandparents and her parents went to the city. She never stopped thinking about Nate and he never stopped thinking about her. She didn’t know where Nate went since he stopped writing. One day all of that changed and they found each other again. This is a great story and a lot of ups and downs. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait for another book to see where their story goes.
I can’t believe this is a debut novel from a baby author. It reads as though the author is a veteran. The depth of emotion this author is able to get from me, as a reader, is unprecedented - especially in a sweet, new adult read.
While this book is sweet, it has some darker themes embedded into it. Nathaniel’s back story is filled with darkness that made me want to reach out and hung him. If I could have brought him and his brother Gabe home with me, I absolutely would have. What I loved the most of about this book was how we watched these characters meet and grow with one another. You can feel their love come off of the pages and because of the connection this author was so eloquently able to create, I rode every emotion with them. When they were forced apart, my heart broke for them. When they reunited, I rejoiced for them and when they got their HEA, I did the happy dance for them.
This is a small town, second chance, friends to lovers read. This is a MUST read. I promise you that you will not be able to put it down. When you read the last page you will be craving the next book - Gabe’s story, if you are anything like me. Bravo C.B. Halliwell, you knocked it out of the park!!! You have a new and forever fan in me and you have made my one-click author list.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book. (I am late in reviewing and reading because I completely missed the link) This book does have some triggers (so please do check them if you need to), but it was such a good read! Great character development, a good story, and side characters I would like to get to know more of/about (C.B. Halliwell, if you read this, that was a not so sublte hint!) Swept of my feet and enjoyed every minute of it!
I loved this book so much! I had so many feels reading this! Yes, there were some rough times but all in all it felt like a hug in book form!
Nathaniel Scott is a sweet baby Angel! Bella is pure innocence and strength. Gabriel is ugh…you love him and feel for him but you kinda wanna shake him and tell him to shape up at the same time.
I loved Nate & Bella’s story so much. Without them knowing it, they were each other’s saving grace. Even at a young age, they were the definition of “true love”.
Nana and pops are the absolute best!
Their group of “found friends/family” is literally a dream come true.
Such a cute story that took me on such an emotional journey. Absolutely loved the way this book was written. Nate and Isabella had such a great connection and such strong love for each other. Loved that we got to see their friendship grow. I loved the side character Gabe he was probably one of my favorite things about the book. I had such a love, hate feeling towards him and seeing the way he grew made me love him ever more.
From childhood best friends to lovers to forever. This was a beautifully written, truly fate inspired and brought together again in all the love. Featuring a found family, a grump hole of a brother, and couple whose lives are Forever Entwined, what a fitting title. Do yourself a favor and read this.
This story has been written beautifully, it really does pull you in to the extent that you feel everything they feel. For a first book it truly is extraordinary. I really can’t wait to see what comes next 🥰🥰
This is a story of innocent childhood friendship, abusive parents both physically and emotionally, second chances and healing. I would say if self harm is a trigger it is mentioned in the book briefly. Nate and Bella are well described as children and you can see their growth both as people and in their relationship with each other. Gabe is the ultimate tortured bad boy however, it looks like he may find his salvation- book 2 please? This is an enjoyable read and a great first novel, well done!
This book is absolutely amazing. It is very well written and made u fall in love with every character and dislike 3 of them. This was an emotional Rollercoaster ride, but I absolutely loved it so much. I cried, laughed, and enjoyed everything from the 1st page to the last page, and omgoodness, I so hope we get another book cause I definitely will be reading it.
3.5 stars rounded up to 4. This was a bit too sickly sweet for me. The characters read quite young even when they got older. It was a sweet small town romance though.
This is a contemporary romance. Slow burn and friends to lovers but I swear this is so much more. I felt like I was watching a movie reading this. A true soulmate story and one for the ages! Nate and Izzy’s (Bella) relationship was one a person could wish for! This captured my attention and I couldn’t put it down. There is drama, fun, happy and sad moments, plot twists. I honestly couldn’t put this down. I’m so glad I read this! It’s definitely one I will remember and talk about for a long time coming.
3.5⭐️ *this is not a spicy book* I loved the story don’t get me wrong but sometimes I was turned off with how they acted or talked. Nate and Bella were sweet. and I liked how it started off with how they originally met when they were kids. For this being her first book, amazing! Now I NEED a book about Gabe. He was my favorite. I think an enemies to lovers book with him and Riley would be GREAT!
Bring the tissues! You're going to fall in love with the characters!! You won't be able to put the book down for even a moment. You'll laugh, you'll cry, your heart will break but it's absolutely amazing.
This is such a sweet read that takes you on the story of two people who meet when they 12/13. There connection is an instant friendship that grows and develops over time. They both came into each other's lives at a time when they both needed the other – and each not knowing what the other was going through. They lived for the times that they could spend together and when they were a part they had their letters. Their way of communicating when they couldn’t see each other. Their friendship grew but both were too young to truly comprehend what the other was feeling. Then all it took was one decision that was out of their hands, and everything changed. They were pulled apart from each other but the promises they made they had their letters they could always stay in connect then everything changes again, the letters stop.
Each lives took a different direction but they both never forgot the other, the problem was she thought he stopped wanting to know and he thought she didn’t want him anymore. Then fate intervenes again and these two are thrown back into each other's paths.
You honestly wouldn’t think that this was a debut book by this author as it is so beautifully written taking us on a journey over a span of 5-7 years and as the story progresses you can’t help but become intertwined into their lives. As they grow and develop you can’t help but become invested in everything that they are. Everything in this book happens at a steady pace and is not forced or advanced too quickly. For me it felt like I was part of the story as it unfolded. You feel the connection between Nate and Bella straight away and you can feel the change in them as they grow and understand what they are feeling. You feel the love between Nate and Gabe (although at times you want to strangle Gabe but in that you also feel his loss and his struggle). You feel the growth of the new friendships formed and how they show that family isn’t always blood but what you make a family to be. This story has so much more in it than I have mentioned but it needs to be read to truly appreciate the story and the writing
CB Halliwell does cover some subject matters that some may find distressing but do check out the warnings first, before reading.
I highly recommend this book and I am excited to see what is next to come from C B Halliwell.
Forever entwined is a book that will stay with me forever. C.b Halliwell is a new author to me and to think this is her debut novel, while reading her book you wouldnt think so you would think she had many books under her belt. The world she created was so unique and amazing. It was a truly beautiful read.
In this book we get to follow the journey of nate and Isabella. They might have met by chance but I say it was fate that made that choice as they are truly soul mates. They where just kids when they met and became bestfriends, spending everyday with each other when they could. But things changed and her parents took her away but she will be back. The only way to stay In touch was to send letters. I loved that. Nate wasn't really good with reading etc. But with the help off his brother he did just fine. Him and his brother didn't have a great life their father was an evil man. They had to look out for each other. She was his saving grace. They always looked forward to each others letters. And couldn't wait to see each other again. As time went on life pulled them apart again and they lost touch.
So time down the line she's back and their friendship builds again and blossoms into love, it had always been there. But everything isn't rainbows and unicorns and they both end up going through so much it will break your heart. It did mine.
I loved every minute of their story and their journey, the world building, the characters, the growth was amazing to witness. This book took me on a emotional rollercoaster ride, but I really didn't want to get off it. I couldn't put it down it grabbed me and didn't let go until the last page. It's packed with so much growth, friendships, trauma and much more. I really love gabe even if he is jaded I need his book like yesterday and I can't wait to read it. Well done babe on your first book was truly amazing. I highly recommend reading forever entwined.
Get ready to dive into a heart-wrenching tale of love, loss, and the power of fate in Forever Entwined!
Isabella and Nathaniel were once inseparable best friends, mapping out their future with secret letters and dreams. But when those letters mysteriously stopped, so did Isabella’s heart.
Five years later, she’s back in town, determined to find the boy who still holds a piece of her heart—even if it’s been shattered along the way.
Meanwhile, Nathaniel has been fighting his own demons. Life threw him a curveball, tearing him from Isabella just when they were meant to be together. Now that he’s back, he’s ready to fight for the love he never stopped longing for, no matter the cost.
Halliwell captures the essence of young love with all its complexities, from the pain of separation to the glimmer of hope that brings them back together. The emotional depth was beautiful, and I found myself rooting for Isabella and Nathaniel as they navigate their tumultuous pasts and uncertain futures.
Just a heads up: this story isn’t all sunshine and roses, there are trigger warnings for substance abuse, child abuse memories, and some heavy themes like self-harm and suicidal thoughts. It’s a powerful read that handles difficult topics with sensitivity.
Forever Entwined is a beautiful exploration of how love can endure even the harshest trials and the journey of healing.
If you love stories about second chances, friendship, and the unbreakable bonds of love, this book is a must-read!
Grab your tissues and prepare for an emotional rollercoaster!
