The Twelve Days of Thanksgiving: A Christian Guide to America's Most Meaningful Holiday

Rate this book
Feel you are missing out on the real purpose of Thanksgiving Day? Where was Jesus in it all? Thanksgiving can turn out to be just be a flurry of food and activity and in the end we wonder what it was all about. This year make Thanksgiving last longer and be more meaningful to you and your family.

We look at scripture, review the history of those who made Thanksgiving Day a reality, explore some well known and many little know facts, and most importantly connect Thanksgiving Day to the heartbeat of what has made the United States of America a unique nation. This short devotional book was written to both encourage and challenge each of us in our thankfulness and gain a greater understanding of the true nature of the celebration. The real story of Thanksgiving Day is even more fascinating than the often romanticized ones that we see even in Christian circles and publications today.

The Twelve Days of Thanksgiving is for those longing to slow down and make Thanksgiving more than a traffic stop between Halloween and Christmas. It came out of a family devotional our family has been using for the past ten years which we also have been sharing with our friends at aquietwater.com ministries. Join us in preparing to celebrate one of Americas most historic, beloved, and recently unfairly maligned celebrations.

Devotional includes…
-Twelve daily devotions to about being thankful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the common Grace given to all Americans
-The true and often unknown history of Thanksgiving Day
-Holiday Builders that you can do with your family that will add insight and joy to the day and help prepare everyone for the Christmas season and beyond
-Thanksgiving timeline that reveals how the celebration really came to be what we celebrate today

You will never look at Thanksgiving the same way again.

I’ve learned that the prophecies in Isiah that 100% describe Jesus and His ministry, death, and resurrection, were written prior to His birth, because copies of Isiah were found at the Dead Sea that date back to before Jesus was even born! proof that the prophecies were not written after His resurrection, but before, once again backing up that Jesus is the Son of the living God. And that’s just one thing I learned reading this. :)

I also heard this was written by someone on Gab! always willing to support a self-published Christian!
