The Mister Series #13

Mister President

Rate this book
Coparenting is easy for Elias and Amanda. Having sex is even easier. When Amanda begins to feel the tether of their bond loosen, she prepares for things to change between her and her baby’s daddy, though her heart has always belonged to him.

For Elias, Amanda was too shallow to take seriously as a romantic partner. However, lust joined them for life because of their son. He’s sure they will always be friends and nothing more, until a failed romantic relationship shows him the woman that’s always been by his side—Amanda.

For Amanda, it has taken years to accept that she will never be Elias’s type. Though she’s matured over the years, he’s never been interested in getting to know the layers that have rippled beneath her surface—until a sure thing backfires in his face.

Now that Elias has Amanda in his vision, she’s finally detached from the thought of a relationship with him. Will her redemptive changes work in their romantic favor, or will she prove the adage of appreciating what you have when it’s gone?

Now B. Love ima hold ya hand when I say this, but this series is turning into a totally different animal and vibe and I hateeeee it. When I was introduced to the Mister series it was sweet, it was romantic it was erotic. The Misters had you swooning and sweating in your seats the Misses were amazing lovely hard working girls just tryna get right who eventually stumbled upon a fulfilling beautiful love. The last two misters need a whooping lmao.
Ima try to keep it short and sweet but it’s a lot that scuffed my timbs lol. We meet Neko’s older brother and to be honest I don’t remember much about him from the artist story cus I hated that one too. Hes introduced and baby he’s judgemental smug and DUMB. He has a love hate relationship with his baby mama cus he loves her but she did him dirty 12, YES YOU READ THAT 12 whole years ago. Yet he continues to engage in passionate and I mean real love making earth quaking type sex with the same lady he allegedly hates and thinks he’s better than who doesn’t deserve him… YEAH THIS WENT ON UNTIL ABOUT 77% of the book. He constantly bragged on his mama and daddy but was dumb af, couldn’t love his way out a card board box and struggled with his actual job lmaoo. Like I don’t wanna hear about the man your daddy was if you still insecure, if you still can’t clearly communicate, if you still holding on to hurt from 12 years ago but engaging in activities with the same thing that broke your heart. Ya daddy ain’t teach you enough if this is how you moving with the woman you claimed to love. Like you fell in love with a stripper, who offered all she thought she was worth at the time and you the wise lover man king of romance couldn’t see where she was lacking or what the disconnect was. Couldn’t see how selfish and self centered you were being about what was supposed to be a joint effort. 35-12 is 23 and he was mad that at 23 she wanted to be turnt and party 🥴🥴🥴. Is the sense in the room with us right now???

Amanda wasn’t a bad leading lady per se but all she needed was some dang therapy and to not use her mamas word as law. Like at 30+ you look at the life your mom leads and how she makes you feel since 18 and still go with what she’s shown you??? GIRL BE FORREAL, go lay across that lady couch and get over yourself. This book was LONG AF FOR NO REASON like this could’ve, should’ve and would’ve been wrapped by chapter 20 if the two characters had any sense. Like her being forced out the nest and into independence led to hyper independence, while Elias thought he was the perfect loving partner it’s clear that he wasn’t because along with her mama issues the fact she didn’t feel safe enough to be open with you until 12 years later should tell you something. Like sure she put him in a category cus her career and mamas chatter, but what did he do to show her before than that he was safe that he wanted something real with her? The cheating was def out of pocket but IMO, you can’t be that sad if every chance you get to have sex with her you taking it and being romantic too lmao. They in that room whispering promises of forever love talking about “what’s the big deal it’s just sex” meanwhile he confessing his undying love and fidelity in froggystyle lmaoo LIKE PLEASE STOP PLAYING WITH THE READER’S INTELLIGENCE. Fiona wasn’t the worst it’s just she had no business with Elias and Elias had no business with her, nothing more nothing less

Overall this was a terrible addition to the Mister series and I feel like as time passes B Love is losing sight of what this series is or was supposed to be because every book 1-6 was a delight, it was a great read the love was there, the characters were swoon worthy and exciting to cheer for. In these last two books I been wanting scream at the top of my lungs. It’s nothing wrong with flawed characters and not having a fairytale love ITS EVERYTHING WRONG with all these people be grown af, dragging other people into they mess cus they can’t communicate. They grown af in these last two books but acting like high school students. Overall I’m glad Amanda & Elias got it together but it shouldn’t have taken all that time. Elias also needed to come down off his high horse, and realize he also had some short comings instead of droning on and on about Amanda.

Hypocrisy

It’s time for me to disembark from this “Mister Series” while I have some semblance of sanity 🤦🏾‍♀️‼️…. Reading a book is supposed to be entertaining and an investment. However, the only dividend I’ve received is boredom, frustration & a colossal headache as I decipher the truth versus the BS in character’s like Elias Peterson. …His cover image doesn’t correspond to the honest persona, gentlemen, family man, entrepreneur & business mogul looking for love (blah, blah, blah 😕 🤔!) projected in “Mister President (The Mister Series - Book 13)” two hundred eighty pages. Hmmm🤔, I won’t spoil the book’s content for others, but Elias is/was a master manipulator, liar & a hypocrite. What is Elias the President of (rhetorical question) ⁉️Because (didn’t actually do anything but pine over Amanda🤔🤦🏾‍♀️) he’s stressed out about a fund raiser, which Fiona secured the greater majority of donors. Otherwise, Elias would either contact Neko (daily) or delegate a task to Fiona or someone else in the office. …the person that secured his devotion, deserves him🙄! What a loser🥴‼️

ELIAS & AMANDA ❤️

I enjoyed this story. Amanda and Elias had a great co-parenting relationship but were indecisive when it came to how they wanted to proceed with each other. They both wanted a commitment at didn't stages in their lives, which became a tug of war with their feelings. Amanda's mother didn't help at all with the negativity, which became a deterrent for Amanda to truly express how she was feeling. I loved how Elias was always the protector, provider, and gave positive assurance to Amanda. There was no denying the sexual chemistry these two had, but aside from that, their love for each other is what pulled them together to give their relationship another chance. I was very pleased with their happy ending.

Cliche

Not really sure why I bothered but they all seem the same, every single book. No depth, no nothing.. just the same old stuff.. as much as she’s recommended in groups, my expectations were heavily inflated..

A Real Believable Love Story

Elias and Amanda represented what often happens in real life and love. When he was ready to commit, she wasn't. When she was ready to commit, he didn't trust her and said no. Her mother's negative influence almost cost her a happy outcome and his bruised ego almost cost their happy ending. I can recommend this story to any mature reader.

Fantastic!

The flow of this book was exceptional. A story about 2 souls, Elias and Amanda, working on their relationship and themselves. Facing unwanted truths about themselves and each other. Yet through hardwork and perseverance, they pushed through the obstacles to come together as one.

I also loved the fact that no matter what was going on in their personal relationship, they never let that affect their son.

Black love is beautiful.

A few grammatical errors but nothing too bad.

Great book! Happy Reading!

It was an overall good book. It’s not a book I would automatically recommend but it is a good book.

The book description says “Now that Elias has Amanda in his vision, she's finally detached from the thought of a relationship with him.” I don’t know why that was put in the description because it didn’t happen that way. She was hesitant and did say she was over thinking they would be together but that quickly turned into her just being hesitant. I wanted her to actually be firm about it and put distance between them until he actually proved himself because it was basically he wanted her to be single and available when he was ready but he could try to date and find someone to settle with but she couldn’t.

I wish Amanda had more of a backbone when it came to her mom and Elias. She should’ve had one with Elias because he was definitely a hypocrite. Even though it was coming from the wrong messenger and she was harsh about it the mom was right. I’m not saying she had to sugarcoat it but still.. She was right all Elias wanted Amanda for was sex and being the mom of his kids also to complain about his failed dates. He kept saying they would keep having sex until one of them had something serious going on and she attempted to stop having sex with him because she felt like the time was coming where he would meet someone but he basically told her no and she didn’t have a choice but to sleep with him until it happened.
She should’ve been more firm and told him she wasn’t changing her mind because not too long after he met Fiona and decided to tell Amanda what they had was over and that was that. After she would be upset about and he wouldn’t go comfort her saying he’ll let it be but as soon as he realized she was trying to move on he was mad. Telling her to get sleeping with the guy she met out of her system because it was temporary and continuously told she was his and this is while he’s with Fiona.

He was also telling her he loved her, wanted her,and other things while having sex and then would turn around going on dates with Fiona talking about he could see a future with her like whattt?

Also, I get her actually expressing herself and showing emotion is what made him realize she was different from years ago. At the same time she could’ve been like that a year or two before but he literally gave no reason for her to open up because he let it be known they wouldn’t be together so why be vulnerable with someone that’s basically saying all he wants is sex.

Whew, twelve years! Can they get it right? Amanda and Elias went around the world to get to where they ended up. Her mother was a major part of the reason/problem that Amanda lived the way that she did until the birth of her son. A constant negative voice in her ear about men being no good, etc.

It took years of growth for Amanda to realize her self-worth, executing her dreams, opening her heart to real love, and Elias being the man for her, regardless of what her mother spoke.

I loved the co-parenting of EJ, be that it looked different from the norm. It was loving, civil, and easy until Fiona appeared on the scene.
Fiona shook it up a little cause she wanted him and used her connection to get a job at his company and boldly go after him. But I think because of her age and inexperience, she didn't grasp how to truly navigate a relationship with a man like Elias, even though they hung for a minute. Elias thought that he wanted to try a real relationship with her, too. Until?

Road block! A couple of road blocks along the way! You wouldn't believe it. Let's just say his mentor was a shocker.

Elias and Mandy both couldn't seem to remove themselves from each other by attempting to date or at least semi-date. The love that they had for each other just wouldn't die. The heart wants what the heart wants.

After deciding to give themselves a real chance at a true relationship, things were good.
Up pops a couple of other issues. However, they survived and were even better. One thing for sure and two for certain, Elias and Amanda were not letting anything come between them again, not even her negative mother.

Let me just say I was a happy camper when Fiona was no longer part of this equation. She knew that she would never truly have Elias's heart, PERIODT!

Elias was protective, a provider, atuned to one's love language, goal oriented, an excellent businessman, obsessed, and had his bullshit radar on at all times.

Mister President

I knew from the preview that Elias and Amanda were going to take me through it with their love story and they did just that. Elias was such a patient man and he was willing to give Amanda the world, she just needed to accept that she was worthy of that and more. Amanda was guarded and held a lot of herself back because of advice and lessons she received from her mother and that was so damaging to not only Amanda’s personal growth but also her relationship with Elias. It took for him wanting to move on for her to realize that some of the lessons her mother instilled in her did not apply to their situation and it’s a good thing she realized it before it was too late.

I appreciated the growth with Amanda and seeing her come into her own. She finally got to a point of fully accepting Elias’s love and all that came with it and in turn showed him the same love and support he had been looking for from her for over a decade. This two definitely knew how to work the bedroom and any other room, but to see them grow together in love and partnership was a beautiful thing to witness. I was over the back and forth a third of the way through, but I’m glad I stuck it out and enjoyed their journey to love and happily ever after. 3.75/5 stars.

Elias and Amanda!!

I have enjoyed the Mister series from the very first book, and Elias and Amanda's book did not disappoint either. Elias and Amanda had a child together and were friends with benefits. They had tried many times to make their relationship work, but they just couldn't. Elias decides to move on and forms a relationship with someone else but that didn't work as well. I was glad that Elias recognized that Amanda had matured and changed, and he decided to give their relationship another chance. I was also glad that he didn't hold her past against her and realized that her trifling mother was the cause of many of her issues. Chemistry and their love for each other was never the issue between them so they were finally able to build a solid relationship based on that. I loved the relationship that both of them had with their son, EJ, and he didn't suffer during their on-again off-again scenarios. Great book with love winning in the end!!

Do we make mistakes in life ummmm yes, but geessssh Elias was brutal lol. I enjoyed the mister series but this one was a little repetitive. The Misters used to have me singing my man my man my man. This book had me like girl run omg. The love and hate relationship was understandable due to the past, but baby if we not forgiving and moving forward; let me GO. Like she was good enough to hold his heart, warm his bad, have his kid, keep him entertained but not good enough for a second chance until his perfect girl turned out to be a fraud.
I know Amanda always had his heart, but he took my girl through it. I enjoyed the book and honestly men act just like this in real life so I’m not mad at the author. I would have given it a 4/5 if it had a lil epilogue with the new baby, business and wedding though.

Mister President

I absolutely love this series. Hopefully we will get another Mister. If not, it ended with the sexy Elias.

Elias was the man of every woman's dream. Handsome, smart, rich, and plenty of BDE. He loved Amanda in spite of the fact that she cheated on him. He always felt she had potential even when Amanda didn't believe it herself. She was a product of her mom's misgivings which lead her to believe she wasn't worthy.

Elias knew better. He continued to pour into her. And it took him dating Fiona for her realize that she was going to lose him if she didn't get her shit together. Amanda started changing and making moves that had Elias looking at her differently. Elias and Amanda were meant to be.

Again, this was a great series. Happy reading to the next person who discovers it.

Elias, Elias, Elias!!!!!

This was a love story I enjoyed from beginning to end. Elias embodies BDE! He stood on business when it came to protecting his heart and finally admitting Amanda was it for him. Amanda's issues stemmed from her toxic a** mom playing a major role in how she originally handled Elias before she figured out momma ain't always right, and she needed to grow up before she lose the love of her life. So happy to see the growth in these characters to get to their happily ever after. Fiona came in scheming to get the prize (Elias) and lost the prize all because she didn't/couldn't stand up to her dad (Declan). Now, Declan that's a piece of work, read it for yourself to get the tea!

Loved It

Book 13, Mister was everything and more! Great read and I've how Amanda and Elias were able to co-parent and remain friends, though lines were blurred! I just knew the would find themselves back together, but it would be on His time and of course Mandy growing and Elias accepting her growth! The family dynamics were interesting on all sides. I loved the ending and hope to see more of Mandy and Elias. There's no hope for Fiona, she's spoiled and will do whatever her father wants her to do, unfortunately it isn't self love!

l your past teach you what you have to do for your future

This story was good because it shows a mother who thought she was help he child endure the pain she went through, but we have to realize how to and when to speak to our children I like how the daughter finally was able to let her mama know how she felt and her mama really worked to be different. I love how she the daughter. Finally let the man of her dreams, love her right because many of us don’t know how to be loved and to give love.

Amazing Read

Elias and Amanda could not get things right outside of a sexual relationship for too long. They were excellent parents to EJ, but couldn't get it together otherwise. Amanda's mother had her mentally messed up when it came to relationships. She couldn't give Elias what he deserved until he was ready to move on. Elias couldn't trust Amanda with his heart no matter how much he loved her. Eventually, they got it together. The love was shared wholeheartedly. They became the couple they tried to be in the beginning. Absolutely amazing read!

Ummm

I'm a bit confused on all the reviews where we dislike mom. Which part was she wrong? Were Amanda and Elias not basically together the entire book and using people in between time? He was wrong the entire book. He used Amanda love for him at every turn. Their son knew nothing else but them being a family. In his eyes they were probably always together. This is the first book I rushed through because Mom was never wrong with what she said about Elias, Amanda had no back bone.
I can't wait for the next book but this one was odd but your writing never fails!

Love This!!

It’s been a while since I left a review, but I had to with this one. Amanda reminds me of a friend of mine that is now changing her life and bettering herself. I love how this story showed that men aren’t always the wrong one in the situation. Thank you for showing people from all walks of life become successful. It’s definitely motivating but it also happens in real life! Beautiful story!

toxic

To me this relationship between the lead and his baby mama was so toxic (spoiler he didn’t want but he didn’t want anybody else to have her either). That was so toxic. I cannot jive with this book. Nothing about this was sexy to me. He was selfish and self-absorbed and inconsiderate, and made her pay for past sins. I wish she would have left him alone and found her a good love a healthy love with somebody beside him.

.

Elias and Amanda were disgusting and toxic ass hell. Neither of them grew enough to be in a healthy relationship together. Amanda needed therapy and to stopping jumping on other dicks while she healed her inner child. Elias should of left well enough alone and stopped fucking on Amanda until she got her shit together but seeing them together didn't make jump for joy it just made me feel icky. This was definitely a shit way to end the series...

OMG! Loved It!

A captivating narrative unfolds, exploring the intricate dynamics of a love triangle with nuanced characters wrestling with their emotions. Initially, the story's progression seemed disjointed, but ultimately, the author skillfully weaves the plot together, delivering a compelling and satisfying resolution that redeems the earlier uncertainty.. Great Read! ReneeG

I’m not going to go into detail but I will say for once the female character wasn’t the one to annoy me it definitely was Elias uugghhh he was a pest with how he was handling everything. But ! He’s my guy things did the things that things do and he made it thru it all … I hope my review doesn’t have you cussin me but I wrote how I say it for the dramatics.
Happy reading

Hmm… Maybe it’s me but, sometimes it felt like Elias didn’t like Amanda. He was bitter from their earlier demise being her fault and basically kept her under his thumb.

Her mother’s advice wasn’t all that bad to me. If you single why not date? 🤷🏾‍♀️ Elias controlling azz is not LAW..

I was rooting for them not to work at times lol… and why was he “Mister President “?! I think the ebook cover has a pic of the oval office I believe. Nothing Presidential about this installment in the series.

Always My Love

Amanda and Elias had a hard time expressing their love for each other. Fiona was a true snake who wanted to be pregnant with Elias’s baby. Glad it didn’t work out.
Please continue this story with Amanda finally giving him a baby.
Read this story all day. It was too good to put down.

I’m so glad Elias and Amanda worked thru their issues! Fiona was quite the character, getting a job working with Elias just to date him! She was very bold! It may have worked if not for her father’s prejudices!! The way he interrupted the Christmas event was so uncalled for! I’m glad Fiona wasn’t pregnant! I so enjoyed the ending! I’m looking forward to Ryit and Juelz’s story!

disappointed

Honestly I’ve loved every single book in this series but this one. I didn’t even read it all I skipped to the end. The back and forth irritated me. I literally love the author and though this was my least favorite book of hers it doesn’t take away that I love her writing.

Wonderful addition

Another great read for this series. Amanda's mother played a big part to the way she acted and treated her relationship; which she should not have listened to her because they put her out once she turned 18 therefore she should not have been putting negative advice in her head but so happy when she finally got herself together and things worked out for them.

Elisa got that energy

This Mister series is becoming too much for me to keep up with all the characters. These two were way too toxic for me but that love was very strong. Fionna never had a chance because of her inability to be a grown women messing with that grown man and her daddy. At the end of it all glad they were able to get it together.

I have to say... this was a very long book. I didn't hate it, but the first books in the series were definitely better. I'm glad the first book was "Mister Librarian" because if this was the first in the series, I may not have read the others. I like the way Ms. Love tells the back stories, but this one was l----onngg.
