Don't mess with the Doctor and his Queen!!
I have been obsessed with every book Siera London has written about The Governor. Tbh I wish I could live there. And I've always been a little curious about "The Doctor". After reading the synopsis for Hot Cakes in already knew I was buying this book. It was so well worth the wait.
The Doctor aka Youric Voss is no ordinary doctor. Trust and believe you NEVER want to be on the wrong side of his scalpel. Reading about his past with Jada shed a light on his demeanor and has protective nature towards her. But the one that stands out the most to me was the absolute faith and commitment Jada had for Youric. She was not about to go through life without this man. She was his ride or die and she let him know it.
Reading Youric and Jada's journey I couldn't help being swept up in page after page of their battle to stay alive and to crush their enemies. And can we talk about that would epilogue? 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This was such an amazing book. I really didn't want it to end.
Revisiting The General makes me want to read all the books connected to it over again. Including this one. I highly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

I love this hot couple!
There is more than meets the eye to Dr. Youric Voss. Nurse Lt. Jada Raines saved his life when he was attacked and vowed him to live and not give up on life. She was a very strong, independent loyal woman. Her friendship with Youric meant the world to her. But a fifteen year friendship from their first meeting just did not seem enough. There was a reason Dr. Voss kept his distance from Jada except to celebrate their meeting anniversary. This time, his past caught up with him and unlike last time and all the times, Jada refused to leave him.
With the familial past coming back to kill him. Youric knew that Jada was in danger too. Vowing to protect and love each other, they were given the tools necessary to wipe the Earth clean of their enemies seeking their demise. The future for them is brighter as the Governor Hotel as their home.
Even though this was a short story, it was well plotted and written that kept my attention from first page to last. I'd love to read more adventures about this couple. WOW! Half Italian and half Russian. What an ethnic combination that spells danger.

Youric is hot, Jada is bossy, and together they are dynamite. Youric (Your, Youri) Voss and Jada (Queen) Reign forged a friendship through fire… literal fire, as in military fire on the battlefield more than 15 years ago. Each year on the anniversary of the day Jada saved Youric after an attack, they have an anniversary dinner. But this year is different and while Jada wants to take their friendship further, Youric wants to end it to spare her life from the danger he feels encroaching upon him.
But Jada is not a fair weather friend and proves her worth and her love for Youri by going all in with him.
It’s quick paced, it’s d!rty, and through all the violence, there is a happy ending for the couple.

Hot Cakes is more than meets the eye!
Youric and Jada, make an excellent team whether they are loving or fighting off bad guys! To say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree is an understatement where Youric is concerned! His mother's skills are inherent in him and although Jada is a military nurse, she too is a fighting machine! I am glad that after fifteen years they are finally getting their happily ever after! Youric and Jada's story is fast paced, exciting, sexy and intriguing all wrapped up in one momentous read!!!! Great job Siera, I love their story!!!!!!!

No one writes intoxicating alpha males like Siera London...the "Doctor" is the best one to date. He's passionate, possessive, attentive, yet deadly and terrifying to whoever dares to cross him.
Together, Youric and Jada are explosive. Combustible. Pure fire. In and out of bed. A perfect partnership based on respect, trust, love and utter devotion to one another. Hot cakes is well written, gripping, intense, dramatic perfection. All of this makes this book powerful and spellbinding story I won’t easily forget.

This is a fast moving book which I enjoyed. The two main characters already know each other, so we don't have to go through their characters development.
Your and Jada love for each other started on the battlefield, but it took years before they finally confessed their love to each other. I loved that Jada was badass and could hold her man down when danger came.
This book has all the elements that I enjoy, love, violence and a sprinkle of several surprises.
You will enjoy this book.

OMG..this story was SO GOOD!! Jada and Youric are a made in heaven couple. Their past military connection keeps going to form a friendly, loving bond. Their Anniversary is special to them. When a problem shows up..the past comes into play. This book has action, drama, deceit and so mush more!!! Family secrets are revealed and problems are dealt with..properly. I love Sundae and can't wait to see what happens with her and Zaid.

I just can’t get enough!
Finally!! I have been waiting on the doc’s story and I was not disappointed. I love their relationship and getting to find out more about Yourics past. Youric and Jada are perfect for each other! This sub-series has turned into one of my favorites!! The Governor sounds like the place to be if you’re a badass. I definitely recommend reading this book.

Just keeps getting better
The governor has all the John Wick (Keanu) vibes and 1. It has hot steamy love stories to boot. Doc and Jada's story is another homerun for S. London and a page turner, you won't be able to put down until the end. The series just keeps getting better, and it was a winner for from day one already.

I love everything about The Governor. It would be such an amazing place to live. But to live there with the Doctor and be his Queen would be even more. I love how the Doctor and Jada have been having these Anniversary dinners for years. And if you thought the Doctor was bad ass just know he gets it from his mama.💕💕

Hot!
I can’t get enough of the protectors of the Governor’s. The men are hot and the women are strong. Youric and Jada are no different, the characters are strong the storyline is strong and it catches you from the first page. I can’t wait to visit the next couple.

Love never gets old!
The Doctor and Jada's is short and sweet with a sprinkle of danger. Everyone deserves a happy ending. It goes to show that love is healing, patient, and a light in darkness. You just have be able to accept it and hold on to it when you discover it.
