Yūsei Matsui (松井優征 Matsui Yūsei?, born January 31, 1981 in Saitama, Japan) is a manga artist known for manga Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. He was an assistant of Yoshio Sawai, the manga artist of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (Shirota Masakage made a cameo appearance in Shinsetsu Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo).
I think this is the first book in this weird and wonderful series that I actually didn't like so much. There was definitely something missing for me, and although this was a fairly rapid read, I just felt that there was a distinct lack of excitement in comparison to past volumes. I do like the new character that has came in, and I think that character will make an interesting addition to future installments. The fighting scenes were good, and I did find myself laughing at some scenes. Purely for the fact the plot is so weird! Without Koro-Sensei, this series would fail miserably. He really is the icing on the cake in this, and regardless of the fact that everybody wants to kill him! I feel like this installment was a filler, and I'm hoping for more excitement in the next book.
Fourth volume featuring Koro Sensei, the beloved teacher of Classroom E whose students must assassinate him to save the planet. This one features hot English teacher Irina in a duel with her assassination mentor, another new student with a guardian claiming to be Koro Sensei's brother. Tentacle issues arise. It's a school so there has to be sports, so a baseball game has to be played. Also, some details of Koro Sensei's origins are revealed. More fatal flaws. It's not moving that much forward, so maybe I'd say this dips a bit to a 3.5 for me. But it is still wacked out fun.
3.75 stars This series is so awesome. These manga are so funny and whitty. If your looking for a good action manga definitely would recommend this series!
Honestly, this series is just kinda one I read for kicks. They’re easy, funny reads and they’re nice to just knock out at once. Vibes in emojis: 💛🔫🔪😀⚔️🌼
~🔪 Character 🔪~
Nagisa: Okay so I honestly had to look his name up :P He looks so feminine (I mean I understand that his parents wanted a daughter and all) but I thought he was a girl for the first book of two.
Koro Sensei: He’s probably my favorite character. He’s this all powerful being but actually has a bunch of weaknesses and gets panicked really easily (Weakness #2 XD).
Karma: The reason I put him in here is because I love his character design so much and I would love to see him in this series more.
All other students: There were so many students in Class E that I kinda last track. I don’t have any of their names strait other than the ones I listed and Ritsu and Ms. Vich.
~😀Summary (very simplified)😀~
If you don’t know what this series is about: Koro Sensei is this octopus, alien like teacher who can fly at Mach 20 (don’t ask). There’s a huge prize if you manage to kill him. But he just so happens to be a teacher (I remember this scene in the first book where they were saying the pledge of allegiance and everyone pulled out guns and ambushed him), so, brining the name Assasination Classroom as all of his students make attempts on his life. Just an average school day for Class E.
~🌼 Thank you 🌼~
To all of GR friends and everyone who read through this. You guys are amazing and thank you for all of the support <3
This is the first book of the series I wasn't entirely in love with. I just felt like it was not as exciting as earlier volumes. But the fighting scenes between Koro Sensei and his "little brother" were awesome and I can't wait to see more about where they come from. Now as far as this baseball game is going, I didn't really have any interest in the story until Principal Douchepants showed up. He just has to suck the joy out of everything. I really hope Class E can prove him wrong with this game.
A lecherous, weird-ass-looking monster who has already done enormous damage stands poised to destroy the world. And yet, despite an ever-expanding catalogue of his weaknesses, somehow every attempt to take the slippery bastard down just ends up with the attackers flustered and frustrated.
Of course, unlike the real-world examples, Koro Sensei is actually a pretty decent sort of monster, and an extremely good teacher, so it's yet another case of a story which now feels a little overtaken by far worse events outside the page. Despite which, it remains enjoyable, if sometimes a little too tropey. Not always the expected tropes, though – the last couple of chapters get really obsessed with rounders, a problem I know to expect in novels by American men, but which comes as a bit of an ambush in manga. Still, just as Shaolin Soccer demonstrated a way in which football might conceivably not suck, so it turns out that this sport too is far more entertaining once Koro Sensei gets involved: "Let's give them a taste of baseball hell...colored by malice and tentacles".
At this point you should be just as curious as I am on where this series is going. So much has happened and a lot of characters are growing and some are still being introduced. All eyes on Koro though as you finally get more insight on him! 👀 This particular book really sets the tone for the next book as class-e faces off with the other classes. Though if courseee Koro will turn it all into a lesson!
The 4th volume and a little brother ascends on the class. I wasn't a fan of Itona and I know I also wasn't a fan of him in the anime. Glad that stayed the same. Haha. I am just not happy how he acts all superior and crap. So I was glad with the fight and while I knew that there were still many volumes to read I was still worried for Koro-sensei. I also could understand the sentiment of the kids, they are the ones hired for this job, not the others. I love that they want to train even harder. Work even harder. Oh, and I loved the assassination game at the beginning, just a shame that is how it ended because I would have liked to see some more of it! I will definitely be getting the rest of the series soon~
Just a continuation on a fun little series of manga, as you already know. I am just slowly making my way through this series to see if the students in classroom E actually assassinate their teacher (at his request) and save the world before graduation.
Koro Sensei has a brother? "Unexpected," would be putting it mildly ... Needless to say, we get some welcome hints about his back story, as well as the possibility of an epic battle in the future. Actually, I suppose that one was a given already, since this seems to be the type of story that leads up to an epic battle. In the meantime, we get an epic baseball game, which doesn't conclude in this volume.
Content warnings: violence, gun violence, bullying, a teacher who uses her sex appeal as a weapon???
3.5 stars
I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the previous volumes in part because the whole "there's a new person here to try and assassinate the teacher, oh no the kids don't like them, oh no they've failed" thing is getting a liiiiiiittle old. Also because the principal's vendetta against the class is, like, grating on every nerve as an educator. But still, it was cute and I'm definitely going to continue with the series because it really is funny and very light-hearted.
Miss Vitch meets her match against her old master who questions her skills after learning of her new position. After Koro-sensei goes to see a movies with two of his students, he gets a second exchange student in his class which puts him in a very different mood. The boy happens to be Koro’s little brother as he has tentacles as his hair. Later, the class participates in a baseball match that their sensei makes more thrilling. A (100%/Outstanding)
I liked the competition between the assassins to kill Karasuma, it was a nice change. Definitely less focus on the students in this one. And the introduction of Koro Sensei's younger brother he didn't know he had! That was a shock! Although the baseball game at the end was just silly. And the way even the principal treats Class E!
Las partes de la profe bitch, como siempre, han envejecido horriblemente mal. Y aun así, en este ha estado bastante bien. No obstante, sube más el nivel con el enfrentamiento entre hermanos y la mejor parte me ha parecido la del beisbol.
8/10: In this volume of Assassination Classroom, we see Koro-Sensei bonding with his students over films and basebal, meet his younger brother, and show the rest of the junior high that Class E is not to be underestimated by anyone else.
“Let’s give them a taste of baseball hell” - Koro-Sensei
We get induced to a new transfer student that is Koro sensei's little brother. Like he really is, but all he wants to do is to prove he is the strongest out of everything which is funny. The guardian of said kid is a little off though.
I'm just really excited to read bk. 5! I liked Class 30 - but I don't want to spoil it. Its what made the book good. Other than that, I would recommend this book.
