Briana Michaels grew up and still lives on the East Coast. When taking a break from the crazy adventures in her head, she enjoys running around with her two children. If there is time to spare, she loves to read, cook, hike in the woods, and sit outside with a fire. She does all of this with the love and support of her amazing husband who always has her back, encouraging her to go for her dreams. Aye, she’s a lucky girl indeed.
this is dark and steamy and very angsty. I'll try to remember to write more of a review later. but I recommend if you want fully rounded characters, extreme angst, but a HEA.
So I thought about it and I finished this book but I feel like I don't wanna rate it. I really, really disliked Daelyn. I tried to like her, but she kept trying to save the ex bf who was shit to her. Yes, like the mmc, he said the ex he groomed her at a young age, that she had to protect him And I hated it. It took until nearly 80ish for her to finally wake up and trust Dmitri with the guys name.
Besides that, Dmitri was everything in this book he had a darkness from his past that made me wanna hug him. He was so forgiving when Dae told him the truth he didn't have to forgive her, but he did. He made sure she was taken care of he helped her learn to fight her punishment, which was technically edgying, lol. And when he also learns he has a family member and who that person is. It's sweet how he cares.
Saftey-so, it shows FMC in a flashback with ex bf, and she has this i can't get over my ex. Even if the ex is a huge ass douchebag. She almost lets him fuck her because the ex is jelouse of the MMC.
Low angst, no ow/Om (ex guy), drama, secondary charas, stimes, no virgins

This was a stunning read. I loved the twists in this book and I just couldn't put it down. Dmitri and Daelyn had been through such tough childhoods and come out the other side, both damaged in different ways but they fitted together so well! Loving this Monarch Club series, can't wait to see who's story is next!
Briana Michaels does it again. Dmitri is an intimidating, beautiful man with a past that will break your heart. Daelyn has survived foster care, yet can't overcome the trap she calls life. Dmitri was suppose to be her last job. He would set her free. Little did she know, her freedom would look a whole lot different than she imagined. if you have it started the Money arch Club series yet, you better get started. Are you a butterfly or a firefly?
I have been bouncing up and down on the balls of my feet waiting for this book to release. And let me tell you, it was worth the wait. I fell head over heels for both Dmitri and Daelyn. Their chemistry is so good right from the moment they first meet and only gets better and better. The twists and turns this story took kept me hooked in so hard I couldn't put it down. Loved loved loved it and I'll be back to bouncing while I wait for whatever Briana cooks up next.
Ooof what a rough ride. I’m confused by all the four and five stars here! The main characters were highly unlikable especially the fmc, who was a mess saying one thing and then doing a 180 the next moment. I get some part of that is because of the trauma, but she ultimately just came off as an AH. The mmc did not fare much better, a self-proclaimed “dom” who doesn’t do anything a dom is supposed to do and is actually really unsafe (can you call yourself a seasoned dom if your sub continually safes out on you after every scene? Dude you fuck it up every time). The sex scenes seem to have been written to only tick off as many tropes as possible: dominance and submission (never actually negotiated in clear terms verbally), pain play, praise kink, primal play… without a cohesive thread to make them make sense for the characters. There is zero development in the characters and I was more often than not baffled as to how they are supposedly even in love. It’s a very badly-written book in terms of plot and characterization, so implausible at points that even as a romance reader I could not suspend my disbelief.
"I’m not a savior. I’m a monster with nothing to lose. Let the best villain win."
This is the second In a standalone series that can be read on its own. Dmitri is a little darker than the first and oh so much more spicy, which is saying a lot since the first was huge in the spice.
We meet Daelyn, who is trapped under her ex's thumb, being exploited into doing his dark, dirty work. She was sent on her final mission to be sent free, Ruin Dmitri.
But she failed her mission, being stuck between two monsters. She chose the monster who can save her from her past. Dmitri can see through the lines and lies of Daelyn.
This story was riveting and held my attention throughout the story. The spice was amazing and oh-so-good. Daelyn thrives in Chaos, and her pov shows that, as someone who also lives in chaos, reading her pov was substantial in keeping my neurodivergent mind focused on the story.
Why the hey can’t I curse on here! flipping exquisite
I am shook! Seriously. Full stop shook. I am still processing so endure with me a bit, but the fact that two shattered souls find each other and their broken bits cut each other just as they need and enjoy?!? Darkness and delightfully wicked. You will hate with the fire of a thousand suns. You will cry the Nile overflowing. You will scream at the beautifully broken lovers that they’re worth enduring and always enough. You will rage and rant and eventually you will trust. “There she is” is the new 3,000 and just as devastating
This book sucked me in from the dedication and I did not want to leave. The story line was amazing and the spice was take your breath away good! I loved everything about this book and fell so damn hard for Dmitri 🖤 His story, his personality, his fighting, his 😈, his EVERYTHING just hot as hell 🫠🥵🫠🥵🫠 I’m praying the Monarch Club Series continues because it is absolute fire!
*Spoiler ish* (nothing too bad but when I read it I swooned lol) This book should get 6 stars because Dmitri rides a fricken Ducati and YES there is bike spice! It is beyond hot like the rest of this book 🥵🥵🥵

Another trip to the Monarch Club and another FMC to fall in love with! Dmitri's tortured soul is an absolute beautiful thing to read. Loved the "connection" between Dmitri and Dae, it was electric and tragic all at the same time. Can not wait to get my hands on a physical copy so a piece of Dmitri can live in my house year-round! Beautifully done Briana, cannot wait to see what might happen next!
they’re two lost souls who’s fate brought them together🫶🏻.
seriously loved this look. i loved all the inside jokes (messages? games? i’m not sure what to call them lol). idk it was seriously a really good book and i cannot stress that enough 😭
the only reason why i gave it 4 ⭐️ was bc of the grammar and spelling mistakes 😔 ( ex: eyeteen 🧍🏼♀️. i’m sorry but i cackled) oh and king. i’m sorry but it made me cringe
If you’re triggered by physical violence, abuse, or grooming and manipulation. You should not read this book. If you’re aware of the ugly bits of humanity and can get through them to the happy ending that the main characters deserve, this is a beautifully written book.
The story line in this book was a bit more interesting than the first one. I also liked learning about Dmitri and Daelyn’s back stories. Glad that they got their happy ending and everything worked out in the end.
Ahh, I absolutely love Briana’s writing!! Dmitri is about two people fighting to move past their past lives and in doing so they find each other. They have to learn to trust each other to move beyond those that will bring them down.
Wowzer, a roller coaster of twists and turns that had me guessing. Enjoyed reading Caelyn and Dmitri's story. But preferred Ryker the 1st one in the series.
Alllllll of her books are so good. This was no different! LOVED it. This is the second in the series and tbh I liked it even more than the first one. <3 It's dirty and dark and hypnotic.
I’ve never read this author and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of plot and character development. The subject matter was heavy but the story itself was believable.
