Very good information, great drills and different aspects of the game to keep in mind as a coach and player. I honestly don't know why it is called "Women's Tennis Tactics" though. Despite the forward talking about how the women's and men's game are different, these tactics and drills work for both genders.

The information is well worth the time of reading and digesting. But if you're a men's coach, it's don't be scared off by the title. You should still give it a look.

I am not sure what the other rater of this book had against it, this was by far the best of the five tennis tactics books that I have read. It says Women's but in my opinion could be used for anyone not playing professional men's tennis. The tactics are clearly laid out with diagrams and come with drills/ideas on how to practice them. Descriptions are to the point and, as all good books do, seemingly obvious once you have read them.

This is not a beginner skills type of manual, these are tactics to be used once indermediate skills are mastered. Students need to be able to rally consistantly and not have to think about their shots all the time. There are great tactics to introduce to those just starting to learn them and more advanced ones for those more accomplished.

Recommended for anyone not named Paul Annacone, Lary Stefanki, etc.
