I had the pleasure and honor of meeting Skye McDonald at the 2025 Books, Books, Books event in Lancaster, PA. This short story follows main characters Angel May and Leo.
As a tour guide, Angel May agrees to meet Leo for a drink after the party barge tours the streets of Nashville, an unlikely decision for her. On the surface, she is outgoing and vivacious yet delving deeper you'll notice her cautiousness and reserved demeanor when meeting Leo, with an underlying strength borne from self-awareness. Leo, the guest on the party barge tour that just doesn't quite seem to fit in with the other partygoers, is quiet and formal, yet has a hidden smirk, sparkle in his eye and laughter reserved for someone special. When Angel May and Leo meet, sparks fly!
Author Skye McDonald has such an eloquent writing style, even the steamiest, sexiest, most erotic scenes read so smoothly. Spitfire is a fast-paced novella that may literally bring you to climax, leave you breathless, wanting more but then allow you to feel fully satisfied! Highly recommend!

The best short steamy story. So funny, so well written. You just feel that vibe of Party Nashville-style and heat. Aaaamazing! Very talented writing. Playful, funny and entertaining! OMG - those interactions. Loved characters.

Fast and flirty and oh so steamy. What a fun romance in an exciting city! Aniela is such an easy character to love, working through her struggles to get the life she wants, and who doesn’t love a hot Brit? This novella has it all!
