When Rodney Hart is found dead and his prized turkeys on the loose just days before Brooke Ridge Falls' Thanksgiving festivities, Lexy Baker and her band of spirited senior sleuths are on the case.
While the turkeys are relishing their newfound freedom, Lexy, Nans and the gang are busy nosing around town to figure out who had a motive to kill Rodney.
From the town hall employee in charge of the annual Thanksgiving feast who has something to hide, to the competing farmer who wanted everyone to switch to ham to a very angry animal rights activist, Lexy and the ladies don’t know who has the most compelling motive.
In order to narrow the list, Lexy and the team come up with an ingenious plan to lure the killer into a trap. The only question is... will it backfire?

Thanksgiving Turkey Tragedy is a fantastic holiday novella in the Lexy Baker Cozy Mystery Series by Leighann Dobbs.
How much I LOVED this holiday themed cozy! The turkeys! I love the turkeys, and I love how the author incorporated the turkey's point of view in the story.
Rodney Hart is found dead, and his turkeys are on the loose just a few days before Thanksgiving.
Lexy, Nans and her elderly sleuth friends are on the case to try and figure out who is the killer.
There are no shortage of suspects and there are so many laughs!
This was such a fun holiday mystery I really enjoyed. So great being back with Lexy and the gang!
I didn’t care for this series when I read the first book but thought I would give it another try. Still not my cup of tea. The wife of the sheriff running around with a crime solving grandmother and her friends. No training, no authority, barging in on people and demanding answers to questions they have absolutely no right to ask. Why would anyone tell them anything! I’m a senior citizen and I think it’s so silly. They all pile into a small car, over and over. They are always eating pastries. The owner of a bakery has almost unlimited free time to “run out for a few hours”, and forgets to tell her husband details of the crime while she tries to wheedle information from him. No thank you.

This novella is centered around the Thanksgiving holiday solving the murder of the turkey farmer, Rodney in town. The Ladies Detective Agency, a group of high spirited senior sleuths led by Nans and her friends, with Lexy tagging along and providing the yummy pastries for the group!
I loved the characters and the antics they get into while solving the case. I really enjoyed the unique twist in the story…getting the perspective of the turkeys!
This is a fasted paced novella and a great weekend read. If you haven’t read the series I recommend it!
I received this as an advanced readers copy and am not required to leave a positive review. I thought I reviewed it but apparently not.
I found it to be a cute read to get you in the mood for Thanksgiving. Rodney Hart’s turkeys are running loose throughout the town. When Lexy goes to check out why the turkeys are running loose, she finds Rodney dead in his field.
It took Nan, the crew, and possibly a good portion of the town to solve this death.
I adored the turkeys were everywhere. They brought joy to the story. The ladies round up the suspects and get a confession in the process. I liked the happily ever after ending for the turkeys.
It was a quick listen in audiobook version. It was cute. A good listen for parents and teens on the way to family for Thanksgiving. It’s very easy to listen to and follow. Nothing too crazy goes down. Small town and some nosy neighbors wanting to know what happened. Narrator’s voice was clear, concise and easy to listen to. Not a dark mystery but just a good old clean mystery that would be good for teens and adults alike.
This was a cute, funny book. It starts with the turkeys talking and worrying about getting cooked when all of the sudden their owner drops dead from a hit on the head. Then of course, we have Lexy and the gang trying to figure out who killed Rodney. So the chase is on and I love how the book ends with the turkeys talking and being thankful. This book is different, funny and cute. You will enjoy this book.
I really enjoyed the latest adventure of Lexi Baker, her grandmother Nan and her group of seniors. It’s almost Thanksgiving and the local turkey farmer is found dead and his turkeys have escaped. Lexy and her fiesty seniors decide to find out who killed the farmer. Many suspects and lots of turkey sightings contribute to a delightful holiday book.
There just aren't enough Thanksgiving-themed books and films IMHO.
This is a quick and easy cozy mystery that starts and ends with turkeys talking to each other. Their owner is killed and the local ladies (most of them seniors) get involved in finding out whodunit.
Such a cute and cozy read to kick off the holidays. Highly recommend!
It was nice to visit with Lexy, Nans, and the crew again. Lexy and the gang investigate when a local turkey farmer is found dead under suspicious causes. There's developed characters, and some humor.
Cute little story to help you anticipate Thanksgiving. If it wasn't so much work and expense, I am always ready for Thanksgiving. Only two weeks away! Clever story of Ms Marple group of friends enjoying solving crimes faster than the cops. Enjoy!
This is a very easy wonderful and great story about Thanksgiving and a tragedy around it, but the ending is amazing. It truly is something to read and relax with after a good meal with friends or a long day.
Always a fun read!! So fun to see how the gals weed out the guilty party. When I read this series, it's so easy to visualize it, just like watching a movie/series which it should be!! Look forward to the next one!!
Not much substance to this but it’s a silly read and enjoyable for a quick Thanksgiving read. Levy, her grandmother and friends have a way of always getting the murder solved.
The Ladies Detective Agency has once again solved the mystery. I was so thrilled to find this latest book in the Left Baker series that I only allowed myself 1 chapter a night , so it would last longer. I will be watching for #18 to come out in print.
A cute little mystery revolving around Thanksgiving. Everyone's gathered together to eat when they find the turkey owner dead and the turkeys on the run
This was a cute holiday cozy mystery. I loved that the opening was from the Turkey’s POV I thought that was pretty cute and clever. This is a quick and fun read 😊📖💕
This is my first Lexy Baker book. I'm not the target audience for these books. Haha. It was fine, but I don't think I'll read any more of them. It was a nice little read for the holiday season.
This was a cute and fun installment in the series. It's the first one I've read, but I didn't feel lost at all. It does make me want to go back and read the rest of the series, though!
