Ashley & Trent get their HEA and it was absolute perfection. 3 years of radio silence after Ashley was handed off to marry another man as a business deal, of sorts, for her family. Now he's returned and she is ANGRY at him for just disappearing. Little does she know his disappearance wasn't just due to her sudden nuptials. He was methodical in his reasoning, and they all come to a head in their story.
The tension between these characters was thick, and when they finally got their hands on each other, SO HOT.
I just ate this story up, Trent is top tier book boyfriend material in his actions, and devoted love for Ashley.
Make You Miss Me is Ashley & Trent's novella, and while you absolutely can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the novella first to enjoy the full dynamic of their relationship

I don’t usually read mafia/dark romance but whatever you want to label this as was FANFREAKINTASTIC! Trent and Ashley’s story is heartbreaking, yet beautiful. The chemistry between those two, the fact that Trent will do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to protect his girl and make her his… that’s a man right there! Ashley is so badass for sticking through the shit she had to deal with and by the end of the book, I was straight up applauding her!

I have waited so patiently for this story and let me tell you, it was sooooo worth the wait!!! This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it!!! I bit half my nails off, but when their reunion hit, it was like fireworks going off!

The way this story played out is sooooo perfect! I had no idea how L.A. Shaw was gonna write it, but they gave us everything they’ve got!!! And they did not disappoint! I fell head over heels in love with Ashley and Trent all over again. I was swooning, but I was also stressed, that in the end they wouldn’t get that happily ever after! But that is the best quality of L.A. Shaw’s writing. They take you on an incredibly and entertaining journey throughout the entire story!
This book has incredible swoon throughout the book, really spicy moments, but also some jaw dropping, wait whattttt moments too!!! I love love love L.A. Shaw soooo much! They write with heart and emotion and soooo much love for their characters. Throughout the book, I wished I was in Nori Beach with the gang, hanging out. We get some familiar character cameos which was soooo fun! And the brother duo tag team with Trevor and Micah was everything I didn’t know I wanted and needed!

Make You Mine is the 4th book in the Make You series and it's best if you read Make You Miss Me first. It's the MCs meet and greet until everything falls apart and it contains details that you should have before the continuation in this book. MYM picks up 3 years later and it's tissue worthy! It's dark, inspirational, a second chance that contains mafia life and a secret society. What a ride to a HEA that involves more than one couple and my rating is 4.5 stars.
TW: Cheating (not with MCs), Sexual Assault, Domestic Assault, Violence and Murder.

Make You Mine is Book 4 in the Make You Series. This is Trent and Ashley's story. I recommend reading Make You Love Me where their story begins then read the novella, Make You Miss Me afterwards. This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I've been waiting to read Trent and Ashley's story and it didn't disappoint at all. It was definitely worth the wait. There's a secret society, mafia, arranged marriage where the FMC is promised to another, boy obsessed and second chance.
I've always loved Trent and Ashley's relationship. I fell in love with Trent even more after reading this book. The lengths he went to secure his future with Ashley showed how devoted and loyal he was. I loved that he was still protecting her even from afar. I loved how obsessed he was over her and when they were separated for years he missed her everyday. I loved Ashley. After being promised to another she started to live a life that she didn't want. What she had to deal with made her stronger and willing to fight back in the end. She was just a shell of the person she used to be. The journey that Trent and Ashley go through was so sad and tough at times. However, when they reunite I love that the spark and emotional connection was still there. Through all the ups and downs they faced I was rooting for them. Make You Mine is an unforgettable second chance romance that's captivating, emotional and action packed. It's definitely become an instant favorite!! Highly recommend!!

Ashley loses so much but she prevails. She’s strong and determined. I really loved her and Nori (her Doberman). Trent is a gem. He really did do it all for her. I’m so happy they finally get the happy ending they deserve.
I’ve read LA from the beginning of their journey and I love all the stories they’ve created. This is an author duo you should definitely pick up!

I am so deeply obsessed with this book. Greyson is my boo. I love him so much, but Trent has firmly put himself tied with him.
Trent & Ashleys ‘prequel’ (make you miss me) was a fun read, filled with spice and temptation but also with knowing she was promised to another man.
This book - trent and ashleys conclusion. Blew my fucking mind. Hello Trent 2.0! This man had me salivating.
Their strength, their commitment, their unwavering love. I savoured this, even though it begs to be devoured. Poor LA had to put to with some word vomit reactions too 😆🫣 that was before the real emotion hit and - I bawled!
Every detail. Every twist. Bitty & Tig - ride or d!es. I just love this series.
And that ending *mind blown*, it was exactly what I wanted to happen but how it all unfolded!

The rate at which I read Make You Mine, surprised myself. I devoured, the conclusion of Trent and Ashley's story. I literally, could not get enough of these characters. Trent, is the definition of the perfect book boyfriend. He only has, eyes for Ashley, and does everything humanly possibly to make sure she is safe and happy. (from the life that she was forced into) Ashley, is a fierce FMC that is not afraid to take matters into her own hands, to find her happiness from the life in which she lives. The chemistry between these two characters, is evident and undeniable in the writing.
I am a sucker for a mafia/secret society romance, and in my humble opinion L.A. Shaw has wrote another binge worthly book. If you enjoy, a second chance, arranaged marriage, boy obsessed romance, I think you should add Make You Mine to your TBR. However, I would start with Make You Miss Me, before diving into Make You Mine. Finished this in a day! I had so much fun following Trent and Ashley’s story and it took them from new adults falling in love in the summer to grown adults having to navigate the VERY complicated and dangerous world that they inhabit.
Trent is a 10/10 book boyfriend and the lengths that he goes for his girl….sheesh. I’m going to have a hard time not comparing my husband to those impossible standards lol.
This is a second chance story that is all wrapped up in mafia life and secret societies. I LOVE a sneaking around story - where the characters have to hide their relationship and true feelings from the people around them.
I think my favorite part, though, is that Trent does literally everything in his power to save Ashley from the miserable life she has to live against her will, but also…Ashley is a bad ass and helps save herself, too.

I literally devoured this book! I was obsessed from the very first page. It kept me on my toes just waiting to see what was going to happen. It’s going to be very hard for any other couple to beat Trent & Ashley.
You could feel the love and the heartache they were both going through while trying to get back to each other. Trent is literally the perfect man and no one will convince me otherwise. The way he wouldn't even look at another woman while they were apart was so sweet. Poor Ashley had been through so much that it makes you feel for her.
I loved the ending and the little plot twist thrown in there 🤭 I'm so glad they got their happy ending!

Love how true they stayed for each other even if they were apart. Please be prepared to go through it emotionally to go through it reading this story. They both did what they had to do to survive and to get their happy ever after that they both deserved. Definitely recommend reading!

We finally get the conclusion of Trent and Ashley’s story and it was epic😭 I 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙮 recommend reading their prologue novella, 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐞, to fully enjoy and understand their story.
Ashley and Trent spent an epic summer together but he always felt as if she was always slipping away. And that is because Ashley has been promised to another man, a very dangerous man. And after summer ends, so does their future.
Three years later, Ashley is now a mafia wife and it hasn’t been easy. Her husband is a monster and the love of her life disappeared on her. She’s done everything she can to keep her family safe but she’s desperate for an escape.
Now Trent is back in town, ready to shake up Ashley’s world. And what she doesn’t realize is that while he’s been away, he hasn’t stopped fighting for her. Everything he’s done for the past 3 years has all been leading up to this moment, to take back his girl.
I absolutely adored these two. The angst over wanting someone you can’t have is so palpable between these two and your heart breaks for them both. But when they get their time alone, they’re also so hot together. @lashaw.author never misses on the spice.
I was also really excited to see this duo’s writing get a little bit darker and dive into the mafia genre. The plot was so fun and engaging, plus I love a good secret society out to destroy the bad guys.

I absolutely adored these two. The angst over wanting someone you can’t have is so palpable between these two and your heart breaks for them both. But when they get their time alone, they’re also so hot together. @lashaw.author never misses on the spice.
I was also really excited to see this duo’s writing get a little bit darker and dive into the mafia genre. The plot was so fun and engaging, plus I love a good secret society out to destroy the bad guys.

Trent & Ashley’s story starts off in the prequel novella, Make You Miss Me. I highly recommend reading that novella before reading this book. You get to see how these two met, how strong their connection was right from the start and get to see them fall in love.
Make You Mine takes place three years after the ending of Make You Miss Me. At the end of the novella, they were happy and somewhat together. But that has all changed. These two have been ripped apart due to an arranged marriage. You see that Ashley is married to someone else, and it’s not a good situation she’s in at all. Trent has been off in Europe working on his medical degree as well as joining this secret society. & these two have had no contact for quite some time.
As the story goes on, you come to understand more and more that EVERYTHING Trent has been doing has been for Ashley. Every move he is making, him having no contact with her was for a purpose. Trent was willing to do everything he could to make sure him and Ashley could be together. He was one obsessed man. 😍
Even with the time apart, their chemistry and connection were still as strong as ever. Ashley may have been angry at Trent when she first saw him, but that didn’t make the feelings go away or get even stronger than they were before.
The situation Ashley was in broke my heart. The things and living situation she had to deal with was so disturbing and heartbreaking. 💔 You really get to see how strong of a person she really is and see her come out the other side of that situation.

I have been curious about Trent & Ashley’s story since meeting them in Make You Love Me so I was excited to read this one.
This was a unique take on mafia / secret society and not like anything I had ever read before. Ashley & Trent met young and fell hard and fast during their summer in Nori Beach. But they always knew their time was limited as Ashley was promised to another by her mafia involved father. Secret meet ups get too risky & ultimately they are forced to part ways.
Ashley always believed Trent just disappeared but little did she know while Ashley was going through hell in her arranged marriage- Trent was doing everything he could to find a way for them to be together. Enter the Saints.
These two loved each other fiercely & always knew they were meant to be together. Their journey was long & far from easy but they got their happy. I am a sucker for a good brother sister relationship & loved every minute between Ashley & Micah!
I would recommend this as a mafia “light” book- I’ve read a bunch of mafia books so this didn’t hit as hard for me personally in comparison to others but still did enjoy overall.

The way I flew through this book! The story was gripping from the very start and I couldn’t put it down.
Ashley and Trent’s story began 3 years ago, which you can find in their novella Make You Miss Me. This is book 4 in the Make You series.
Ashley is married to a mafia don that does not deserve her. Their arranged marriage forced her to give up the love of her life. She hasn’t heard from Trent in 3 years and she’s almost given up hope. Until one day, he is back and laying it all on the line for her.
Trent is the PERFECT book boyfriend. During their time apart he has changed into a man who isn’t afraid to get blood on his hands to save his girl. “Don’t forget I kill men these days,” ugh swoon. His heart only beats for her and he hasn’t and will never love another person. His devotion to Ashley is just breathtaking.
This story was tragic but so beautiful. The love between Trent and Ashley is so freaking pure. Please read triggers before reading, there are some heavy topics discussed in this book.

ARC review all thoughts are my own. 4 ⭐️ 3 🌶️. I was so excited that Trent and Ashley were getting their own full book finally. I fell in love with their novella and couldn’t wait to get more from these two. Their love is intoxicating.
When we catch back up with Trent and Ashley were three in the future. Ashley is living in a horrific situation but somehow finds the strength “even in the darkness there is light”. And Trent has nothing but determination, walking into enemy territory. He meant it when he told Ashley “everything I’ve done has been for you”. This combination but them in a dangerous situation with Ashley’s husband the top mob boss of NYC. But if their love story teaches us anything it’s that love concurs all.
I was unprepared for the twist and turns in this book but I’m so happy to have the best ending for these two. I truly fell in love with a Trent for Ashley. I couldn’t image anything more perfect.

When I tell you I DEVOURED this book. I literally read it in one sitting. The much anticipated continuation of Ashley and Trent’s story from the novella “Make You Miss Me” jumps us 3 years and it is a very different feel for our MCs than in the first story. They are completely in different places in their lives, Ashley is being promised to another man, Trent, well, Trent is a changed man. Purposefully, and calculatingly so, but changed nonetheless. However, the all consuming, do LITERALLY anything for her love that never wavered as everything else changed in his life just SENT ME. Boy obsessed? More like boy refuses to accept any other ending but their happy one. Together. And I am SO. HERE. FOR. IT. Trent was absolutely EVERYTHING. He is an MMC that will live rent free in my head for a long time coming. I love LA Shaw’s writing, in my eyes this dynamic duo can do no wrong. I have been a cheerleader of theirs for a very long time and will continue to be as they keep cranking out bangers like this. Crushed it as always ladies! 5/5 stars!

This book gives you all the feels. It's amazing how the authors have written it, and you can just feel how much the two main characters love each other and would do anything to be together even in their dangerous circumstances.

You ladies absolutely killlled it with this book. I loved every second of it. This book was fast paced, intriguing, spicy and sweet all in one. I absolutely adored Ashley and Trent. They were just so perfect for each other. I loved the mob storyline of the book as well. Ashley is so strong and brave. I loved the side characters too. Hopefully we will see a book on Ari and Trevor soon!!!

I am so happy that Trent and Ashley got their book and their HEA! I fell in love with their story when I read their novella, Make You Miss Me, earlier this year. I have been dying for the conclusion to their story ever since and this book certainly delivered. Mafia suspense vibes, so many secrets, and so much love.
Trent will stop at nothing to rescue Ashley from the situation she has been thrust into thanks to her family. After he disappeared from her life for three years without a word, Ashley is still angry with him. Now they must do everything possible to get her out so they can be together! Oh I loved them and this story. Bravo ladies! Thank you LA Shaw for the opportunity to read this story early!
