i started this book, and finished it in 2 sittings i was so happy to be an arc reader to this and look forward to reading more from this author because she ATE with this one, cherry lollipops won’t ever be the same to me lol!!

Well I smashed that read in one sitting. There was something about the writing that flowed seamlessly from page to page.
The characters' backgrounds were both convincing and surreal. I appreciate how the author avoided using forced theatrics. Damon and Hilly were written very well.
Two complex people put together because their parents fell in love develop an unbreakable bond.
When Damon found Hilly with her old__________ and made ______________ before hew _________.

I received an ARC of this book for my free and honest review.
This is a dark taboo romance. This book received a two because the main characters fell into insta lust, there was no real connection formed between the two of them. The entire novel happens in a weekend.
The MMC is not morally grey; he was a straight up m*rderer. He k*lls someone in a bathroom on a road trip for being drunk and coming onto the FMC.
Not my cup of tea.

Its in the name right? A damon is always gonna a little spicy 😂Jade is a new auto buy favourite author for me, this was EVERYTHING, I flew through it quite quickly, this was dramatic, suspenseful, taboo and utterly gripping, had a hard time putting it down, I hope we get more books in this world! Love love love

Hilly and Damon. These two are amazing! The chemistry between these two, the banter, the taboo element.
I loved how protective Damon was from the very start. You could say he's evena bit obsessive and possessive as well. Everything you want in a book boyfriend. You get a bit of stalking from him in the beginning, which I absolutely love. Hilly is super sweet, not so innocent, with a past of drug abuse which she overcomes.
While I agree, we need more of Richard, what about Chase? I personally would like a Chase story, just a thought for Jade.
And ma'am that lollipop scene! So hot🥵🌶️

this was such a good, fast paced, dark, and super spicy book! 🔥 I loved Damon and Hilly! Their connection and chemistry was amazing and they really needed each other! I would have happily read 100+ more pages of them! Damon is 🥵🧎♀️so if you’re looking for a quick and easy read, i definitely recommend this one! Go add this to your TBR and read it asap 👏🏻

Frist off I finished this a few days ago and my jaw is still on the floor & I'm still drooling for more. This book left me speechless. It had everything & more. I also was lucky enough that when I read it was storming outside with lightning thundering & heavy rain. It felt right. I've actually read it twice now. I'd love to see a Trilogy have everything come full circle but I'm telling you right now I want everything JADE writes. Also I know there some triggers so please read trigger warnings & if you can read on a really stormy night do so. I Highly Recommend. Short ,Spicy ,Taboo, Dramatic & Suspenseful... If your from the FMC Past you better stay there you don't wanna cross paths will the MMC. The FMC goes through some self discovery & acceptance. The FMC is in for a surprise when she finds out her mom is dating again. What could go wrong or what could go very very right. Shocking twists & turns.

I was not disappointed with this book I love Damon northwood I also may have crush on his father Richard as well I can't help it they both have that unhinged protector vibe.
The story of Damon sister death and how she died was heartbreaking I cried a bit but let's just say karma a b****

LOVE DAMON! I loved reading this book! Damon had me laughing, blushing from his filthy mouth. The spice was 👩🍳 💋. I enjoyed the church scene 🤭

A quickish read, depending upon what time you start it 🤣 This novella leads you into Hillys’ life, starting with the present, where her mother takes her to meet her new boyfriend, Richard after a messy divorce. Hilly's' mother has told her little bits about him, not all as Hilly soon learns. She meets Richard’s son, Damon and herein we are led into their getting to know one another.
There is a darkness to him, which we are privy to but Hilly has yet to learn, however, she is not without her own past and as they are thrust into a situation, each takes on their own sinfulness.
I enjoyed the story, there are parts that contain violence, bl00d and gore so be aware of this. References to past abus3, drug and alcohol abus3, which leads to trauma. A few spicy parts ⛪️🍭 I can’t say anymore without spoiling it for you, so I won’t. For me it was just the right length to entice me in and keep me entertained throughout the read.

I had the pleasure of reading this book as an ARC & it did not disappoint! After reading ‘Cedarwood Cabin’ I knew I already Loved Jade Wilkes writing.
This book follows Hilly, our vulnerable, troubled, struggling FMC who is desperately trying to escape her past. And Damon our confident, possessive, unhinged MMC who will do anything to help her overcome her demons. 🖤
These two are possible future step-siblings who have to manoeuvre their way through an undoubtable connection. Whilst accepting each other for who they truly are, as-well as learning to accept themselves.
Damon has an obsession that runs far beyond anything Hilly could imagine & the tension & teasing all builds up to 1 hell of a Halloween party! 😏😮💨
It ended with me wanting to know more.. more about the family, where they would go from there, so I really hope there will be a follow up book to their story 🖤

Hilly has struggled with drug and alcohol addiction but is now in recovery and doing well, even though she’s haunted by the memories of the horrendous things that her dealer subjected her to whilst he had his claws in her.
She is invited to stay at her mums boyfriends house over the Halloween break, and this is where she meets Damon, her future Step Brother. He’s dark and mysterious, and has Hilly’s body reacting every time she sees him.
Unbeknownst to Hilly, Damon has been stalking her online since his father first told him about his relationship with her mum, and he has quickly become obsessed with her, and decides that he will do everything in his power to not only protect her, but claim her as his.
It’s when they go to a Halloween party that things hot up and when Hilly is in danger Damon does everything in his power to rescue her and punish the people that hurt her

Taboo? Yes, please! I read this book in one sitting, could not put down. Soon to be step brother Damon, erm.. hello! He is deliciously dark (morally pitch black) and only has eyes for our girl Hilly, who has a very traumatic past. A hell of a lot happened over halloween weekend, very fast-paced, and I just ate it up. Brilliant read.

On Halloween her mom decides to introduce her boyfriend to Hilly and heads up to his mansion, where she meets his son Damon. What she doesn’t realize is Damon knows exactly who she is before she steps foot in his house and has been completely obsessed with her. The explanation of what “Sinful Shadows” means is such a beautiful and powerful way to explain things you are not proud of but they will follow you no matter what you do and where you go.

I loved this book so much. Damon and Hilly were perfect together. He saved, loved, and protected her at all costs. He also had a mouth on him during those spicy scenes that had me super hot! 🥵🫠🤤😍🔥

I don’t know what Jade put in this book but sign me the hell up for a step brother like Damon! Talk about possessive!! Oh I eat that sh*t up.

This was such a great read. I absolutely loved Damon Northwood; he is the perfect well hidden obsessed morally grey MMC. We all love a dark MMC and Damon is definitely that. He is a man obsessed with Hilly and determined to have her dispute their parent’s relationship. I loved how easily the story was both quick paced and the characters still had a strong back story. As most novellas it left me wanting more, but maybe a dark Christmas is in our future🤞🏻.

I absolutely devoured this book! One minute I’m reading and the next I look up it’s 6am and I hadn’t slept yet! Truly worth the lack of sleep I got just to get up again the next day to finish it! Sinful shadows is a beautifully written taboo read following Hilly who has struggled with family drama and substance abuse in her past. Sadly her past has come back to bite her. But don’t you worry Damon will do anything to keep her safe. Remember the most important rule, don’t touch what’s his!😈This book will leave you wanting more and leave you questioning what will come next!

our FMC, Hilly, has been through some shit and is desperate for something ,or someone, to come along and save her from her past. a blessing in disguise comes in the form of Damon, who is willing to do what it takes to make her feel safe.
Damon. the way that name just does something for me. this book was fast paced and steamyyyyy. i love Jade’s writing style and i will be now reading everything she writes.

Just wow! I didn’t go into this expecting to feel so many different emotions, it had me blushing! It had my heart racing! I had me on my toes!!! It had me laughing!!
