The truth in this book might just change your life this year. The way she writes about the good/hard tension of walking by faith will make you feel seen, challenged, and inspired.

I just finished this book and I can’t say enough good things. I bought this after loving her devotional so much that I’m on my second read through.

Whitney writes with so much warmth and care for people while still staying completely rooted in Scripture. The whole book centers on God’s pursuit of us, and her line “pursuit is desire moved to its feet” has been living in my head ever since. It perfectly captured the heart of her book.

I really loved her explanation of God’s khesed love, His steadfast lovingkindness that keeps reaching for us even when life is messy. The book is thoughtful, honest, encouraging, and packed with Scripture in a way that feels rich and life-giving.

It left me freshly aware of how deeply God desires us and how kind His pursuit really is. Truly such a good read and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends! Also just wanna say she has such an eye for making things cute. I mean look at these covers.

These are words of a wise woman. A woman the has wrestled with the truths she is writing. She has learned and is learning and is gifting us with the vulnerability so that we can learn too. “God speaks love over us and restores our identity, even in the desolate, merciless desert. To really feel seen by the God of the universe, we sometimes must flee the noise. We must quiet all the distractions that numb our insecurity and hurt, even though that means feeling it all and risking the possibility of being hurt once more.” This is bold to choose the wilderness as a place of restoration and Whitney’s confidence in God’s power and love to restore will make you more confident. I promise!
