Seasons are changing in Timber Hollow. As autumn gives way to the cold depths of winter, friends move to the Hollow, and an old threat returns to the forest, lurking between the trees.
After moving into a new house, balance must be found again between Artemis and the boys.
Artemis Hunt has always been in love with Jay Temple, her mountain. These days, though, she's often finding herself ogling another charming blonde at every opportunity.
Jay Temple loves Artemis more than anything and prioritizes her happiness above all else, but this new twist in their relationship could be too much.
He and Saint have a bond stronger than brotherhood, but will the chemistry between the trio cause a rift between them all?
Now Alpha of Timber Hollow, Jay must also protect the Pack from an old danger lying in wait in the forest–one that could send Artemis running out of the Hollow, this time for good.
Amid the danger, love blossoms in the Hollow again, despite the deep snow.
"The Patron Saint of Timber Hollow" is the highly anticipated sequel to "Timber Hollow," following the main cast on one more adventure through the Hollow.
I am an avid reader of all things magical, fantastical and everything in between. Somewhere between imagining I was the feisty main characters I read about, and dreaming up scenarios where things went differently than they did on paper I decided to create my own stories. Now that I have breathed life into a world, universe of my own I have a much bigger appreciation for all of the stories I read and loved along the way.
When I'm not writing, I am a wife and mom to two beautiful girls, and spend my days in between the trees of New York with my dogs daydreaming about the possibility of a magical world.
Ooooo girl, shifters, hot men, and fun ass side characters?! Count me in!🔥🔥🐺🦊
I recommend reading book 1 so you have the whole story between Jay and Artemis (you'll LOVE them, i know it!). It makes book 2 soo good because you know their history. The addition of Saint just makes this hot, hot, hot!! I adored the way these characters actually spoke to each other about things and not just used the miscommunication as a way to drive the plot forward.
Now I am impatiently waiting for Dantes' ans Sams books... 😉😏🙏🏼
Lastly, It's books like these that make me want to live in a sleepy little hollow and work at a bar with my best friends 🧡
Thanks for the arc! Honestly reading these books feels like such a warm hug. They are just fun reads for me. The characters are all super lovable and so I totally get why they also all love each other lol. 🪢 🪢
I can’t wait for book 3 so we can follow another character 🥰
PSoTH was as enjoyable as the first one. When I read the last book, I couldn't believe she would only pick one guy lol.
My one qualm was I'd like to have seen a bit more one-on-one romance building scenes with Saint. He's fantastic. I'll definitely read more in this series. The spice level is off the charts 🌶
Welcome back to Timber Hollow! A place with shifters, strong females, and delicious males. Where Pettengill gives us quick paced stories, amazing tension, wonderful characters, and tantalizing spice. The first book in The Beasts of Timber Hollow introduced us to Jay and Artemis. We watched as their love story unfolded and how they strengthened each other. In book two we continue their love story, but the possibility of something more isn’t far off.
I was so happy to see Jay and Artemis again. Seeing how strong they have become together, how happy they make one another, and the future they hope to bring for the pack as a whole. Their banter between them is still witty, sexy, and fun. With the same Coyote Ugly vibes as book one, I was ready for book two and everything it was going to bring. What I couldn’t wait for the most? The possibility of our couple becoming a throuple.
Introducing Saint, the Beta of the pack. As feelings deepen between the three of them tension builds and drama unfolds. As part of this dynamic is brought on by lack of full, open communication, I understand why Pettengill wrote it this way. We wouldn’t have the back and forth we have if she just had everyone come out and reveal their feelings. I loved getting to know Saint, both through his POV and through others. The multiple POVs brought out perspectives to each character not seen in the first book.
As the three of them navigate their feelings, while keeping the best intentions for the pack at the forefront of everything, we get to see a wonderful story unfold. One with themes of found family, deepening bonds, and trusting your own heart. The friendships are just as fierce as they were in book one and highlights the pack love for everyone within it. If you are a fan of shifter and/or paranormal romances, I recommend this book! I loved it so much and really think you will too!
As always, review any author notes before reading.
It was so exciting to be back in Timber Hollow and returning to my favorite duo and their pack. Shifters, hot dedicated and swoon men and funny/sassy support characters always bring out a good time.
This is book 2 in the Beasts of Timber Hollow series and I highly recommend reading book 1 otherwise you will not fully understand the story as we start here. In book 1 we are introduced to the world and our original main lovers of Jay and Artemis. This book is focused on turning this duo into a Triad, introducing Saint, the beta of their pack as a love interest and we get to see and understand him through his POV. This is a multi-POV book that moves fairly quickly and are brought back to all the fun banter and lightheartedness despite some emotional trauma that the characters have to face.
While this book introduces more action, you still get the same vibes as the first, we have a Coyote Ugly influence that meets paranormal romance with the strong female characters that bring all the banter, sass, whit and fun times. The found family that has already been established and is growing with each book is top tier and it's so fun to see how all the clear distinct personalities work together.
I would say that even though there is a bit more action in this book than the first it is also very light and almost borders on being a cozy story than having a larger over arching climax. This book and the series is very much more character driven than plot driven, the focus is the love story and the characters. Overall I always enjoy books like this, it's a nice escape from reality with fun spice and characters you wish you could be friends with!
I can't wait for the next book in the series where we get Sam's story and hopefully we will get Dante's soon as well!
I received an E-ARC of this story, but all opinions are my own.
This is the second book in the series and continues Jay and Artemis' story with some added twists. There is more action in this book, with the same Coyote Ugly vibes and fun with the girls. It was awesome to see my favorite characters back from book one, and more from Sam. I enjoy the found family vibes and the friendships that are formed along the way. Each character has their distinct personality which adds to the group dynamic.
Most of this book is focused on Jay, Artemis, and Saint. Jay is still sweet and overprotective of Artemis. He has a good balance of pushing her buttons and doing whatever it takes to make her happy. Artemis is full of sass, and I am so here for it. My favorite character by far was Saint. His banter with the other characters, as well as the character growth we get to see, dragged me in. Don't even get me started on the family dinner scene.
At times, the pacing of the story felt a little off to me, and I wish we got a bigger climax with the enemies of the story. Either way, that didn't distract from this fun read which gave me so many cozy vibes. The spice was off the charts (in a good way), and I think the banter and character growth are the best parts of this book. I look forward to reading more about the characters and hope to see Dante get his book as well.
Book: The Patron Saint of Timber Hollow by M. Pettengill
A perfect book to dive back into the world of Timber Hollow, deliciously spicy!! Loved getting back to Jay and Artemis story, and don't get me started on Saint!!!!!
I loved Saint ever since he was introduced in Timber Hollow, and I'm beyond happy this story turned into a why choose. They're perfect together. The pack life, the found family feelings, the dynamics between Jay, Artemis and Saint. It's perfect!!
I loved how this story focuses on established relationships and growing bonds. Love the friendships as well, the fun at the Coyote Bills (including the returning of the slap shots!!!). And I'm excited to read more about the other characters!!
I received this book as an ARC, and WOOF what a spicy and comforting read! I absolutely loved this book and revisiting Timber Hollow!
I remember writing my review of Timber Hollow and begging to learn more about Saint and boy My prayers were answered in this one! I loved the addition of Saint throughout this book, and I would happily be on my knees for that man! He and Jay are absolutely addicting and devine!
Artemis is still as badass and quick-witted as ever, and yep, I still absolutely love her! Sam and Ivy UGH, where can I find friends like these two beautiful bad asses!
I think this book is absolutely fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and am obsessed! I can't find a single thing I disliked as everything was so well written and emotive! And those spicy scenes WOW! TOE CURLING! From start to finish, I was hooked.
This is the second book in the Timber Hollow series. I really enjoyed getting to see more of Artemis, Jay, Saint and all of their friends. Most of this book is Artemis trying to figure out her feelings for both Jay and Saint, not realizing they have already come to an agreement. I love to see the communication and devotion they all have for each other! Saint is probably my favorite; he’s sweet, goofy, and a great cook all while being secure in his beta position in the pack. I wish we could have gotten more of the book from his perspective. The three of them have a really great found family! I enjoying reading about it; I hope there will be a book about Ivy! Final note: I absolutely love the cover!
I was so excited to read the much-anticipated sequel to Timber Hollow! PSOTH picks up where the first book left off, focusing on Artemis and Jay's relationship, only we get a new POV (Saint's) and we learn that he may have caught some feelings for his alpha's girl.
I don't want to give too much away here, but this was a very fun, very spicy read! I liked that the stakes created by the conflict were low enough that I could enjoy the character-driven plot and spicy content without feeling too anxious about what was going on in the background.
My favorite parts of the book were the "sharing is caring" mentality and the fact that Artemis continues to be a total brat, but no one is really trying to tame her. They love it.
Thank you to the spice queen for gifting me with this delicious ARC!
Diving back into Timber Hollow felt like coming home again. I love these characters, the town, the mystical forests, the witty banter and the writing that makes it feel like a a friend telling you a story over a crispy Dr.Pepper.
This story had everything I wanted. Spice, fantasy based plot, vengeance, humor, and did I say SPICE!? Some of the best omegaverse spice that I've inhaled in a hot minute. There were a few twists and turns-and now even more unanswered questions about my girl Sam that I am eager to delve into! I cannot wait for the next installment! YEEEEEHAWWWWW BABY!
I got an advanced copy of the book so I can review it. But let me tell you, it's a joy to read. The author puts a different spin on something that's been done, making it feel new and fresh. The title? I get it now lol I really enjoyed the relatable vibes with the fmc. And I definitely need more of the side characters!! This book is spicy and fun. It was a very fast read because I stayed up late to binge read it. I was left with a question for the fmc but I'm sure when the author does the other characters it'll come up and be answered. All in all, it is very worth the read, very worth buying.
We’re back in Timber Hollow for more high jinks from our favorite wolfy family. The vibes are once again immaculate in this book and I had so much fun following our new trio along on all their adventures together. This book felt like such a natural extension of the story created in Timber Hollow 1. Fantastic work, Mindy!!
I’m so sad to say goodbye for now to Artemis, Jay, and Saint but I know they’ll be well taken care of if they ever pop up again in the future. 🫶
I have been waiting for this arc!! I loved the first book and loved the second book even more!! The characters are amazing and I was glad to see the characters that annoyed me in the previous book get what they deserve mwahahahhah.
I can’t wait for the next couple in this series! So excited to see more of this world and the authors works! I literally finished this in less than 24 hours!
This book was good, the only thing I will say is after reading the first I for sure never pictured this happening.
Yes there was the flirty banter with saint but never to the level it got in this book. It could have been set up that he thought he loved his best friends girl but the found someone else.
However this does turn into a why choose with the main 2 from the last book and saint.
Overall it was a good read if you are looking for a shifter book
I got an early copy of this book. Everything below is my personal opinion and should not dissuade you from making your own judgement. I liked The Patron Saint of Timber hollow but I feel like it lacked on something’s. There was a lot of build up to a big mystery and then it was anticlimactic. It was all solved almost instantly and it was kind of disappointing. There was a lot of spice which is a plus for me. I do like Artemis but I feel like in this book she lacked character development. Saint is my favorite and I loved him but I wish we saw more of Jay too.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun read. Now I will have to read the first book as I didn't realize there was another book to this when I got the ARC. I wish there was more shown of Artemis and Saint building their part of the relationship than there was. Over all I enjoyed the book and characters.
As always, Mindy absolutely killed it. The knotting, the filthy talking, the suspense. I am utterly obsessed with Saint Delacroix. This man cooks, he cleans ice off your car, he likes to eat 😏
You really can’t ask for more than that. So if you like shifters, Coyote Ugly vibes, a sassy FMC and best friends well this book is for you.
Always honored to be part of Mindy’s support system:
LOVE IT!!!! I was so excited to jump back into the timber hollow!! I mean I love Artemis and Jay but you add in Saint and hot hot hot!! I loved Saint in book 1 and really wanted to get to know him more!! I love the dynamic between the three of them!! I love how Artemis got her revenge on well you know who!!! I am really looking forward to the other books coming out in this world..!!
Let’s just say I cannot get enough slap shots. And let me tell you I might actually pay for one! I loved it and I loved how is changed and new relationships were built. I mean who wouldn’t want someone to make mind blowing food for them all the time! I loved the build up and the sassy FMC. I didn’t feel like it was rushed and I loved reading it. Would highly recommend! -Kerin
PSOTH is even more fun than Timber Hollow which I didn’t think was possible! Artemis, Jay, and Saint have the perfect vibe between them and I loved watching it play out. Not only are they all so cute together but HOT AS HELL! Seriously, some of these scenes were so steamy like oh my god! Another amazing book in this series down, I can’t wait for the next one!
Psoth is full of a lot of flirty banter and spice. Most of this book is focused on Jay, Artemis, and Saint and there now why choose romance situation. I felt like the book was missing something with a huge build up the this mystery only to be solved almost instantly It was still a good read.
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. Excellent spice and banter throughout. This is a fun easy read with likable characters and just a hint of the supernatural.
