A Razzy Cat Cozy Mystery #17

The Commotion at the Race

Fresh from their visit to Valewood, it’s back to the real world for Razzy, Hannah, Ben, and the boys. Hannah’s covering for a reporter on vacation, and when she’s assigned to cover a local bike race, she’s convinced it will be a predictable, if boring story.

She had no idea how wrong she’d be.

Rivalries are higher than the mountain peak these cyclists are attempting to summit, and they’ll stop at nothing to win. When one of the favorites doesn’t reach the top, Hannah is convinced it’s more than just an accident.

Will she be able to prove foul play? Strap in, this adventure is more than just a wild ride. Hannah and the crew are in for a heart pounding adventure with more twists and turns than a mountain road.

True to form, a sweet enough story, and it was great hanging out with Hannah, Razzy, and the gang!

This time around, Hannah's got to take over Vinnie's beat on sports events for a bit, and her first case turns out to result in murder: a prominent biking champion had his bike tampered with and ended up dead. Obviously, Hannah, Ben, and the cats must needs investigate!

I was actually quite hooked on the premise of this, and cared enough about the stakes to get me invested in the story from start to finish. Some points taken off because I guessed who the murderer was earlier on--the detail was pretty obvious--but otherwise it was a lovely story addition to this series! Cheers!~

This was my first completed book for 2025, and I really enjoyed it. Back with Hannah and Ben and their cats Gus, Razzy, and Rudy. Hannah works as a crime reporter, and Ben has recently left Golden Hills Police Force and has become a private investigator. They have special powers, which are they can understand their cats, so the cats play a big part in solving the crimes which come their way. The cats have a snarky sense of humour, I found myself smiling a lot, despite the fact the book was about a murder!

In this book, Hannah is covering for her nemesis, Vinnie, at work (he covers the sports beat). She's sent to cover a road bike race, but when one rider is killed, there's a big cross over to her specialism. When another team member is found dead, together with their cats, Hannah and Ben set out to find out who murdered them.

Whilst each book is a standalone mystery, the books are best read in order of publication to preserve the wider storyline.

I can't wait to read the next book in this series. If you like reading cosy mysteries, which have animals as some of the main characters ĺand which don't leave the ending on a cliff hanger, then try reading this series.

So so so good!

I absolutely love this series and am so ecstatic that it's continuing on! I just couldn't do without my Razzy, Gus, and Rudy! I love the sweet interaction between the cats and their parents. I love the "Mama", " Ma" and "Lady" that their cats call them! This was a fantastic and fascinating storyline! The characters were interesting! Can't wait for the next addition to the series!!

Razzy, Rudy, Gus to the rescue-again!

I love this series!!!! Can I give it more than five stars? Hannah and the team solve another curious case. This one in the world of cycling. Who knew how competitive this could really be? Is it means for murder? Intriguing and different. Loved it!

A fun read.

I always enjoy every book in this series. It's lighter than what I usually read, and sometimes that's just necessary. It's like relaxing with a sweet turtle mocha instead of a shot of espresso. There's no swearing, no graphic sex, just two sharp investigators who love each other and 3 delightful cats who like nothing better than to help solve murders.

Super-fast, easy read. Consistently fun series with very likable characters (including the cats). This one had Hannah a little less "on top of things" than usual. She definitely did a dumb blonde move in the end - even after a warning. BTW - I'm blond so I can say that! Fun palate-cleansing read. I look forward to book 18.

I really loved this installment in the Razzy Cat Cozy Mystery Series. This one really kept us guessing. Fun, well-written, and entertaining, I recommend this book to any cozy mystery fans, especially those, like me, who are fans of talking cats. Razzy, Gus, and Rudy are adorable, and I loved the part with the kitty pizzas. It was nice to see Anastasia and Callie as well. Five stars from me.

Murder at a bike race

The lead biker dies in an "accident" and Hannah, who is covering the race, wants to find out why. This is an interesting mystery, and I like the characters, especially the cats.

I didn't quite understand the logistics of the race, but then I don't have much knowledge of or interest in bicycle races to start with. I liked the rest of the story. The cats are always my main focus when reading Ms. McFarlin's series. The murders are just filler for me.

Fantastic storyline

Again a book hard to put down. I wish I could talk to my cat the way Ben and Hannah can.

The Commotion At The Race

It was a big commotion but the biggest commotion was the abduction and the cats coming to the rescue again.

Gus

I love the books but I do feel bad for Gus. He doesn't
seem to get much attention in any of the books

Really cool!!!

This is one of the best of the razzy stories. I didn't realize the killer until the end which is not my usual thing. Excellent!!!
