Unstable magic, a wild journey, and an unprepared hero. There’s bound to be chaos. And mishaps. And bravery.
All Millet wanted was a day in fuzzy slippers and a cake to himself. Not a talkative frog. Not a mysterious chest. Not the wand. But adventures find the ones who least want them, and in a jungle prickly with danger, maddened with Tweebs and rumbling with Garden Gnomes, it won’t be long before he’s knuckling back death and chaos to find a way home. Or something braver. But success relies on a magic with a knack for bad timing …
I really loved the originality of this story! Being immersed into a colourful, and most importantly funny new world, was really enjoyable.
I feel like this story really slows and focuses on the little romances of life... Not romantic romances like everyone always thinks first of when they say that word.. But the romance of the sunlight shifting through the leaves of a tree, that people often miss...
The character growth, that happens in this book is HUGE, and really well done. Making you really invested in the characters. I have to admit I have probably been too invested 😂.
It really is a great book, would recommend reading it together as a family too, or on your own,🌻 it is light yet beautifully deep, and makes you think a bit too. Soul inspiring!
