Asylum is exactly what it promises to be – dark, twisted, erotic horror that grips you by the throat and refuses to let go.
The main characters were perfectly crafted for this type of story.

Olivia’s journey was heartbreaking and raw, she's a tragic kind of strong, the kind that survives by sheer force of will. Every part of her stay in Wellard was hauntingly, beautifully written: each treatment, punishment, despair and brief flicker of pleasure was so vividly described that you felt it alongside her.

Atlas Stone… what a fascinating, terrifying character. Getting chapters from his POV added incredible depth. His background gave just enough understanding of why he is the way he is.
His cruelty, control, and obsession all somehow made sense within his fractured logic. Seeing inside his mind was uncomfortable, disturbing and addictive in the best way.

The writing balanced the horror and erotic tension masterfully – never gratuitous, always serving the story unsettling atmosphere. It's the kind of book that makes you question what "madness" really means and whether the monsters outside are worse than the ones inside.

The ending was cathartic. Painful, satisfying, inevitable. The perfect close for a story so drenched in darkness.

J.S. Cannon continues to prove she's a master at writing psychologically charged, sensual horror that pushes boundaries while still delivering emotional depth.

“No one leaves Wellard Asylum.”

First of all, thank you J.S. Cannon for providing me with an ARC of Asylum!

This is the third book I’ve read in the shared world series of Wellard Asylum, and I am living for these twisted and unhinged characters.😆

Plot blurb: Olivia is transferred to Wellard Asylum after her doctor dies. She’s placed under the care of Dr. Atlas Stone—young, handsome, and eager to help her heal.
Olivia has survived horrific abuse, the kind that drove her to kill her own family. But Olivia soon begins to realise that Atlas isn’t the caregiver he pretends to be. His obsession drags her down into darker, more dangerous places than she ever imagined.

This was a short and intense read, and I loved it! The psychological horror show that is Dr. Atlas Stone was perfect!
Not spoiling, but the ending had me 👀 👀 What now??
I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series.
Beware of the trigger warnings!

This is an honest review in exchange for an arc. 🫶🏼

This one took us a merry little dance around the asylum!

Olivia, deletes her step-mother, her father and her step-brother not without cause though, even if in her words the justice system is wrong. She is sent to a mental institution and cared for until her doctor retires, she is then sent to Wellard Asylum. Of course their methods are a tad unorthodox and her doctor, Atlas Stone uses most to test and push her limits in order to ‘cure’ her. Will he succeed in curing her? Will she gain her freedom? Will she survive the torture?

"𝙽𝚘 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚟𝚎𝚜 𝚆𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚊𝚛𝚍 𝙰𝚜𝚢𝚕𝚞𝚖."

Finished this in one sitting, there’s a lot to take on board with the different treatments 😈 not sure it included the s3xy times he instigated but this comes with his obsession. It’s a short read, keeping your attention with effective visuals ensuring your brain collects the pictures 🤭

Well wow, this book was awesome, some parts I was like “am I really reading this and enjoying it?” but yes I was. It was disgusting but most of all a satisfying quick read. This is my introduction to this series of books and I can’t wait. I really love when books get straight to the point.

I really didn’t know what I was expecting, the rating would’ve been so much lower if she didn’t get her HEA which I’m so amazing and happy with how it turned out. Our fmc is so strong and honestly wish this book was longer to see her more dissociative crazy side, that needle part??? I need more of her!

Anyways this book was seriously amazing and I was sucked into this world immediately. Thank you for reading my review <3

This will be a favorite Asylum read! Realistic to asylum history, JS Cannon comes thru with painting Wellard Asylum and Dr. Stone painfully obscene!

I ate up Olivia’s brutal well deserved justice! With her family out of the way, she now has to survive Wellard Asylum.

Enter Dr. Atlas Stone. Devious, manipulating, rotten, conniving, corrupt, etc…
He is obsessed with Olivia and pulls all kinds of tricks when it comes to controlling what’s now “his”.

Hold on to your seat, because what he does is excruciating to read! Certain painfully depicted scenes had me squirming and breaking a sweat! 🙌🏼

One twist after another, Atlas continued to shock me with his demented behavior and choices. Olivia refusing to give up and give in, continued to amaze me!! I loved how it all turned out! Great Job!!

Thank you for the ARC opportunity.

What the fork did I just read?! Holy mother of god. This was descriptively gross & I loved it. From fire pokers to electricity usage to needles to ice picks. The amount of times I viscerally gagged and recoiled haha stunning book! Atlas Stone, he puts the capital D in Douche. I want to be besties with Olivia. You’d never feel stranger danger again. She’d destroy anyone causing a threat. She just wanted some peace in her brain and to live freely, away from the house of monsters. Little did she know she entered the house of the biggest one yet. Breaking in his little doll is the name of his game. What a ride it was to see just how far both could go!! And our surprise friend?! I’ll take a tall order of him, please.

Lucky enough to be able to arc read Asylum and let me tell you if you love a badass FMC then Olivia is the girl for you. No one messes with her and those that do pay the ultimate price, pair that with our devious MMC Atlas and you're left with a gory, twisted story that takes you on one heck of a ride. The vibe for the book is set up straight away in the prologue, giving readers a clear indication of what can be expected from the rest of the book. Make no mistake, this is dark so be sure to check those triggers.

Another great book from this series! This one like the rest is different in their own ways. Seriously I loved Olivia, she could have multiple personalities, but I think it was more she made a mother figure in her head that was a little on the murder side. You will understand more once you read the book. Honestly after that ending I want to know who is that person and what are they hiding!!! That's all I'll say. Don't want to spoil the book at all. But give this one a read, I loved Olivia and Atlas. He needed help his own way.

This book exceeded my expectations 🔥

I started this book without knowing what was waiting for me.

It's extremely incredible, and the details written into those scenes were amazing!

I've only read a story written in an asylum once, and it's nothing close to this. I was so confused about whether I should love Atlas or not, but after a short while, yeah, I hated his guts 😂

The last scene really made me whoop and cheer our girl on. Honestly, I was so happy that it ended in that way ❤️‍🔥

Take that, Doctor!

Asylum is another book in the Wellard Asylum series and it definitely ranks as one of my favorites. Olivia has IED, OCD, and PTSD which landed her in a facility for 20 years. After 3 years, her original doctor retires and she is shipped off to Wellard where she is placed in the care of Dr. Atlas Stone. He becomes infatuated with her and will do ANYTHING to keep her. What he doesn't plan for is her uncanny ability to handle her business and overcome every obstacle thrown at her. I loved this FMC and was cheering for her the entire time! Highly recommend!

Asylum by J.S. Cannon is part of the Wellard Asylum shared World Series and the eighth book in the series.

A brilliantly dark and unhinged addition to this amazing collection. And I loved every minute of this twisted little story!

This book gripped me from the very beginning with its fascinating and well crafted narrative. The beautifully damaged yet strong FMC, Olivia. She is a fascinating character and certainly unhinged in her own right! She is uniquely intelligent and equally as dangerous. I loved her strength and unwavering courage in the face of all she endured!

This is a fantastic short and easy read… An exceedingly dark erotic horror with a brilliantly crafted storyline. Full of gore and all the things that go bump in the night.

Atlas Stone...A clever, cruel, terrifying and twisted saddist, that is somewhat obsessive and completely controlling. With well executed POVs that give you superb insight into these characters!

This book will have you screaming, crying and throwing your tablet at times… but you’ll absolutely love this. It’s a captivating and immersive read that will keep you motivated to find out what happens next! If you dare…

A fantastic addition to the Wellard Asylum Collection and a must read!

This was the first book in a while that I finished in less than 2 hours and what I’d do to read it for the first time again.

This wasn’t just good it was incredible, I did not see that coming and the ending I LOVED it!
The FMC is unhinged strong and just such a badass while the MMC is messed in the head, obsessive and psychotic this is definitely not your typical love story and the ending will even proof that things were meant to end differently concerning their ‘relationship’ and I am not complaining at all!

If you want a book that will question your sanity and will make you yell WHAT??! Multiple times while lowkey hopeing for the FMC to lose her marbels this is your book!

3.5 stars!!

While I enjoyed parts of this books, compared to the remaining series, I don’t feel it was quite on the same level. For me, it felt a lot slower in pace and a little repetitive. I was almost craving more depravity and more unhinged moments.

I did enjoy Olivia’s character and found her to be very interesting and her ways of unaliving to be interesting and the spring was entertaining to say the least… I do however, find Atlas’ arrogance a little annoying at times, I get that we aren’t supposed to like him but it was just the same with him.

Overall, I enjoyed the book but it hasn’t been the most gripping for me from the series.

Asylum – J.S. Cannon
★★★☆☆

I’ve been trying to finish this series since last year… and yeah, I'm finally doing it😭

This book?
Fucked up. Unhinged. Mentally exhausting in a way that makes you sit there after like “…what did I just read?”

The entire setting inside Wellard Asylum feels less like a hospital and more like a slow descent into hell. Nothing about it is healing it’s control, punishment, and stripping people down until there’s barely anything human left. And that’s honestly where the book shines the most: the atmosphere is heavy. Claustrophobic. You can feel the tension in every chapter.

Now let’s talk about her…

Because oh my word this girl irritated me 😭
I get that she’s supposed to be unstable, violent, unpredictable, like that’s literally her character but sometimes it was just too much. The constant aggression, the “I’m that girl” energy… like please calm down, pumpkin, you are not hot shit 🙄

But at the same time… I understand why she’s written that way.

She’s not meant to be soft or likable. She’s a product of trauma, of rage, of survival. The whole “inner monster” thing? That’s not just a metaphor—she is that monster. And the asylum doesn’t fix it, it just feeds it.

And then there’s Atlas…

Yeah.
He’s not a love interest. Let’s be very clear.

He’s obsession. Control. Manipulation wrapped in intelligence and authority. The kind of character that doesn’t just hurt you physically—he gets inside your head and rearranges things. Watching him break her down and rebuild her into something he could control was honestly disturbing in a way that felt too real at times.

The brainwashing aspect?
Yeah… that’s where it got really uncomfortable.

Not just physically, but psychologically watching someone lose their identity piece by piece, being turned into something else entirely… it’s not even “dark romance” at that point, it’s straight-up psychological horror.

And that ending???

Him taking her out of the asylum under the pretense of disposing of her, only to perform a lobotomy so she forgets who she is and can live this fake, controlled life with him… that was insane. Actually insane.

But what got me is that she remembers.

And the way it all comes full circle with her killing him in the end (yeah, spoiler, but whatever you're either reading this review after finishing this book or looking for a reason not to dnf... am I right?) it felt less like revenge and more like inevitability. Like there was never going to be any other ending for them.

Still… I didn’t love it.

I can appreciate what the book was trying to do:
- The exploration of madness vs. control
- The way it blurs the line between victim and monster
- The heavy psychological tension

But it was a lot. And not always in a way I enjoyed.

It’s one of those books that’s well-written for what it is, but not something I’d emotionally connect to or obsess over. It made me uncomfortable more than anything else—and not in the addictive way I usually like.

Overall:
Dark. Disturbing. Intense.
But not a favorite.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Asylum is everything it promises to be—dark, twisted, and deeply unsettling. This erotic horror novel pulls you in from the very first page and refuses to let go. Right from the opening chapters, you're introduced to Olivia, whose heartbreaking childhood immediately earns your sympathy. With a mother battling addiction, a cruel father who failed to protect her, and the unimaginable trauma of being assaulted by her own brother, she grows up without a single person in her corner. Her pain feels raw and painfully real, making it impossible not to root for her from the start.

Olivia's journey is heartbreaking, raw, and unforgettable. She possesses a tragic kind of strength—the kind born from sheer determination to survive. Every moment of her time in Wellard is vividly brought to life, from the cruelty and despair to the fleeting moments of comfort and pleasure. The emotional weight of her experiences is so powerfully written that you feel every step of her struggle alongside her. And I have to admit, when she cut off her abuser's appendage, I liked her even more. It was a shocking moment, but after everything she'd endured, it felt like a fiercely satisfying act of reclaiming her power.

Then there's Atlas Stone—a character who is as fascinating as he is terrifying. The chapters from his perspective add incredible depth to the story, offering just enough insight into his past to understand the fractured logic behind his actions. His obsession, control, and cruelty are disturbing, yet they feel disturbingly believable within the framework of his character. Being inside his mind is uncomfortable, addictive, and impossible to look away from.

J.S. Cannon masterfully balances psychological horror with intense erotic tension. Nothing feels excessive or gratuitous; every scene serves a purpose in building the story's oppressive, unsettling atmosphere. The novel challenges readers to question the nature of madness and whether the monsters we fear most are the ones outside us—or the ones within.

The ending is both devastating and satisfying, and the final twist is the cherry on top of an already incredible story. It's one of those endings that completely sticks the landing, delivering a conclusion that feels inevitable while still managing to surprise you in the best way.
Once again, J.S. Cannon proves her talent for crafting psychologically charged, emotionally complex horror.

Asylum is a gripping, boundary-pushing read that lingers long after the final page. If you enjoy dark, emotionally intense horror with unforgettable characters and shocking twists, this one absolutely delivers.

Trauma Surviving FMC

Unconventional Ending (Could Be Considered a HEA. Depends On How You See It.)

Asylum is a psychological erotic horror. It is book 8, in The Wellard Asylum Shared World Series full of erotic horror books from 13 different authors.

This book was okay. It wasn't the best. It's definitely very disturbing. Very bloody and scenes were descriptive enough that make you cringe many times. The writing is good. Chapters hold your attention but I think I just didn't like the storyline. A bit weird and boring at times. Not my favorite. Compared to some of the other horror stories in the Wellard Asylum Series, it lacked.
Especially the doctor. Doctor was more insane than anything else. Obsessively insane. He was more crazy than scary. He needed more to be more horrific. We also didn't need his background. I felt like that made him more human and less scary. We want true horror. Giving him a backstory only make us feel sorry for him. Not knowing their past, I feel truly makes them despicable and deplorable.
Also, too much medical jargon was used. Repeatedly and excessively. Some chapters felt like a dictionary. Too much definition and history was given on those big words. It was unnecessary.
It was an ok ending. But it left you wanting more of Olivia and Jaxon. Could absolutely be used for a spin-off or a second book about them both.
However, what I did like were the sp*cy scenes. They were very good. Well written. Very erotic. No complains there. 3 books to go and I'll be done with Wellard Asylum. Kind of sad to think about it actually.

I'm addicted to Wellard Asylum. The deeper I plunge, the more reluctant I am to leave it's claustrophobic corridors. I honestly don't know what that says about me ..but it is what it is.

In this peak behind the curtain, we are introduced to 2 individuals...one, a resident doctor of the asylum, Atlas Stone and the other, a newly transferred psych patient, Olivia.

We are given a very detailed backstory of Olivia as we are witness to the pivotal moment that led to her residency. She's a very interesting and complex girl with a diagnosis of multiple disorders...and a slight question of something perhaps more sinister.

Who she initially hopes to be her savior, Dr Atlas Stone, quickly raises questions with his apparent lack of real empathy and his bone chilling ability to "pretend emotions". His switching from hot to cold is enough to make anyone wonder if they are the crazy one.

I couldn't have ever fathomed how dark this story would get. It took such a deep and descriptive dive into what true terror can be and my morbid curiosity couldn't be ignored. Not for a single moment.

For such a reasonably short read, this story packed quite a punch. There was backstory for both characters, detailed descriptions of the isolation ward and it's victims, horror and spice at every turn.

*I have multiple quotes but like a dummy, didn't save them for easy cut and paste. They are, however, on my IG post.

5 stars for our brave FMC

Chock-Full of Triggers, this story is not for the faint of heart. An FMC with several different disorders is sentenced to many years in a mental institution for multiple homicides. But when she’s transferred to a different facility, she’s tossed into an entirely different environment. Things are very wrong at Wellard Asylum. And Dr.Stone doesn’t want to help fix her disorders, he wants to mold her into his own little doll and he’ll do whatever it takes to get what he wants. - My heart went out to Olivia. She was failed in multiple ways by multiple people and she just needed some kindness and understanding. But Dr.Stone was the epitome of a sadistic narcissist with a god complex and he wasn’t about to help her. Not in the ways she needed. He was an MMC that made me hateful and I wanted to take him out for her. The ending of this story came full circle. We start out with feminine rage that’s warranted and we end with it. Brava Olivia 👏. You’re a survivor.

𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒂 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌. 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒂 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌. 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒂 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌. 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒂 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌.

Asylum by J.S. Cannon is straight-up unhinged in the best possible way. This story dragged me kicking and screaming through blood, obsession, and one bathroom scene that had me both horrified and impressed. But you know what, well deserved. Should definitely happen again.

"𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔 𝒔𝒐 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄*𝒄𝒌"

Olivia is a badass, maybe slightly unhinged, but still a badass. Nobody, family, doctor, or devil himself can mess with her and walk away whole. Honestly I love her.

"𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚, 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒍𝒍. 𝒀𝒐𝒖'𝒍𝒍 𝒅𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒔𝒂𝒚, 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰 𝒔𝒂𝒚, 𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒆 𝒑𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒅. 𝑰'𝒎 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑮𝒐𝒅, 𝒏𝒐𝒘"

And then there’s Dr. Atlas Stone. Lord help me, this man is an obsessive, possessive, controlling saddist, and so morally bankrupt that my brain kept switching between ewww and okay but also 👀??. He is completely f*cked up.

𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒚. 𝑰'𝒎 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒊𝒙 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒅𝒐𝒍𝒍

This book is gory, twisted, and basically erotic horror tied up in a barbed wire bow. It's like a gift you’re low-key scared to open but can’t resist. It made me laugh in shock and squirm in discomfort. I went in thinking “oh cool, asylum vibes” and came out wondering if I should call my therapist… or just preorder the next book.

Olivia
Her previous doctor retired, leaving her to be transferred to Wellard asylum. She was arrested after killing her dad, stepmom, and her step brother, who had been taking advantage of her. Her parents didn’t believe her, they thought she had been crying wolf as her stepbrother could do no wrong. She was diagnosed with IED, OCD, and PTSD and set to serve 20 years.

Dr Atlas Stone
He knew the moment he saw her file she was going to be his. His fascination in her dark side. The rage that is living just beneath the surface. He plans to gain her trust and discover the triggers that bring that side out to play. His goal is to mold her into his perfect woman, his perfect little doll that only he can play with.

“Listen to me very carefully, little doll. You’ll do what I say, when I say, or you will be punished… I’m your God, now. As long as you’re a good girl, you and I will get along just fine.”

The strictly professional lines between doctor and patient are no where to be found in this story. She caught between right and wrong. She knows it’s wrong to want him but the way he makes her feels tells her otherwise. He has no problem crossing those lines as long as it’s for his benefit.

I loved this book. Olivia is a strong FMC and the rage that she has hidden that comes out in order to protect herself. It goes to show somethings cannot be cured. Somethings are meant to be different and still be functional. OMG that ending I loved it. I want more that’s all I can say.

Unholy. Deranged. Addictively depraved.

Asylum by J.S. Cannon is not a book—it’s an experience in psychological ruin, stitched together with obsession, gore, and raw, carnal hunger. I didn’t read this story, I survived it. And honestly? I’d go back for more.

💎 Doctor/Patient
💎 Age Gap
💎 SA/PA
💎 Psychological Torture
💎 Mental Illness Rep
💎 Sadist & Obsessed MMC
💎 Gore
💎 Unaliving

This story is pure erotic madness—a fever dream of control, submission, and the blurred line between pleasure and pain. Every page drips with intensity, and every word feels like it’s daring you to keep going.

Olivia is chaos personified—unraveling, defiant, and utterly captivating. She’s not here to be saved; she’s here to burn it all down. And Dr. Atlas Stone? The devil in a lab coat. A sadist wrapped in precision and power. He’s vile, magnetic, and dangerously intoxicating. You know you shouldn’t want him… and yet, here we are.

“Listen to me very carefully, little doll. You’ll do what I say, when I say, or you will be punished.”

This isn’t your typical dark romance—it’s a descent. A beautifully grotesque exploration of madness, trauma, and lust twisted into something sharp enough to cut. I laughed, I cringed, I questioned my own morals… and then immediately added book two to my TBR.

5/5 stars. 5/5 spice. A deliciously sick ride through the dark side of desire—and I loved every second of it.

My girl Olivia needs a damn vacation and peaceful retreat where no one bothers her. Like this girl just wants to heal.

I absolutely loved this book. And I have a love-hate relationship with Atlas, mainly hate though, like 5% love. But with Olivia, it's all love, 100%.

This book was sick, twisted, and I devoured every single page — the true definition of horror erotica done right.
Asylum is another dark masterpiece from the Willard Asylum series, and the second book I’ve read from this deliciously depraved collection. This time, we follow Dr. Atlas Stone and Olivia — and oh boy, their story is as disturbing as it is addictive.

Olivia’s past is pure trauma — an abusive stepmother, a father who stood by, and a stepbrother who stole her innocence. When she finally breaks, it’s hauntingly beautiful in the most disturbing way possible. Just when you think she’s getting help, she’s sent to the infamous Willard Asylum… and that’s where she meets Atlas.
Dr. Atlas Stone is a walking nightmare wrapped in temptation — a man who finds pleasure in pain and thrives on unearthing Olivia’s darkest parts. Watching him twist and manipulate her psyche was horrifyingly fascinating… and let’s just say his ending was perfectly poetic. He got exactly what he deserved.

That ending though — holy hell. A new character appears, and now I’m absolutely feral to find out if Olivia’s story continues.

My favorite (and most haunting) scenes? The lobotomy scene — had my eyes wide and heart pounding — and the needle scene that made me gag in the best way possible. J.S. Cannon doesn’t just write dark — they drag you straight into the madness and make you love it.

I can’t wait to read the rest of this series — I’m completely hooked.
Huge thank you to J.S. Cannon for letting me ARC read Asylum — this story didn’t just whisper insanity… it screamed it, and I was all in. 🖤

Olivia is honestly a baddie. She’s probably my favorite FMC I’ve read in the Wellard Asylum series thus far.

See she’s enterint the asylum as a transfer from another in patient facility after her doctor has retired. She has an issue with black out rage where she may take some joy in righting the wrong that’s been done to her.

Enter in Atlas Stone. Atlas is her new doctor for mental and physical health. Immediately after seeing her he is absolutely obsessed with the idea of owning her completely and playing with the demon she has locked away.

So much so that he’s concocted some delusional plan of getting her out of the asylum to keep her for himself…and while Atlas is no stranger to violence can he survive Olivia’s?

This book is such a ride the entire time I was rooting for Olivia. And I’m kind of hoping for more after that ending because there’s another character that’s peaked my interest! Pleaseeeee I need it!

What you can expect:

🩸 Doctor x Patient
⚡️ Age Gap (14 years)
🩸 SA/PA
⚡️ Psycological Torture
🩸 🐓 Warming
⚡️ Gor3!
🩸 Un@living
⚡️ Mental Health Rep (IED, OCD, PTSD)
🩸 Sadism (He Hurts Her, She Fights Back and He Likes It)
⚡️ Obsessed MMC

Asylum by J.S. Cannon is one of those books that completely pulls you under and doesn’t let go until the very last page. From the start, the atmosphere is heavy and unsettling in the best way—you can almost feel the walls of the asylum closing in around you. The writing is so vivid and immersive that I caught myself holding my breath during certain scenes.

What really stood out for me were the characters. They aren’t perfect; they’re messy, broken, and complicated, but that’s what makes them so real. I felt every ounce of their fear, frustration, and hope. There were moments that made my heart race and others that hit me emotionally in ways I didn’t expect.

This isn’t just a creepy story (though it definitely delivers on the chills). It’s also about survival, facing inner demons, and finding strength in impossible situations. The pacing is tight, the twists are sharp, and the ending left me both shaken and satisfied.

If you’re looking for a book that blends horror, suspense, and raw emotion, this is it. Asylum is dark, haunting, and unforgettable—I know it’s a story that will stick with me for a long time. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

"I'll be your doctor for every need you have, little dolls. I'll treat your mind, body, and soul." - Dr. Atlas Stone.

Took a casual spin down the spiral staircase to hell… somehow ended up at Wellard Asylum again. Can't say I'm surprised 😏

Wait… what? How? Why? 😵‍💫

Okay... did NOT see that coming 😮‍💨

Your girl's back at Wellard Asylum with Olivia, where we ran straight into one fine specimen: Dr. Atlas Stone 🫦

Think it's gonna be a normal visit? What could possibly go wrong, right? Wellard doesn't do 'normal.' Nothing here is what it seems, and I'm already questioning my entire life choices just by being here 💀

That ending!! Uuurrrggghhh!! How did it even get like this?! Now I'm left with so many questions… and I need the backstory 😅 My curiosity is officially out of control, and I'm not okay with it 😳

A 6☆ read. If isolation ward and padded cells make your heart skip... then welcome to my kind of naughty playground ☠️

The asylum doesn't scare me anymore. It feels a little too much like home 💀

⚠️ Warning: Reading this may cause obsession and a dangerous attraction to psycho vibes. You've been warned. Oh... I nearly forgot, sanity is optional ☠️
