Transcendence: The Priest & The Priestess

Rate this book
Aurora was born on Halloween. Needless to say, Halloween has been a special day and night for her. This year Aurora turns 21. Instead of spending the night drinking and celebrating in bars like every other newly minted 21-year-old, Aurora is going with her best friend to a new age celebration. Because that is what best friends do for each other. Even though she thinks it’s all a bunch of nonsense and Zayne, the leader of this group is a complete tool - she goes. But little does she know that this night and ceremony would change her life and that she would lose everything she loves and start to live the life she was intended to live. Even if that includes creatures she only imagined, and places that scare even the toughest people.

About the author

Alexandra Ryan

Alexandra Ryan writes Subversive Fantasy, Decayed Fantasy, and Meta Romantasy. These aren’t your ordinary books. This is the third way of romantasy and fantasy, where epic stakes and intense romance meet unapologetic sarcastic realism. She writes the self-aware stories you’ve been waiting for, featuring characters who are just as stressed out by the plot as you are, and react like people trapped in illogical fantasy worlds.

She loves taking your favorite tropes and turning them inside out all while injecting a heavy dose of her signature sarcasm into the fold. Instead of the generic damsel in distress characters, you get sharp wit, zero tolerance for nonsense, and a deep level of world building that doesn't take itself too seriously. Welcome to the new wave of Indie Punk Lit!

If you ever wondered what would happen if your favorite characters could step out of their world and into ours, or vice versa, consider this your acceptance letter into the weird world of Oddity House!

When she's not busy ruining tropes or destroying a perfectly good cliche, she's in Austin, Texas with too many plants, too many pets, too many crystals, but not nearly enough coffee.

Sweet Dreams and Nightmares

What an interesting book. It has dreams, nightmares and Gods and Goddesses. A no nonsense strong female character and a off beat whacky male counterpart. The plot is wholly original. As a reader I was always curious as to what would happen next. I highly recommend this book for those readers who love edgy fantasy.

A fun and interesting adventure!

Such a cool world and concept. I enjoyed the relationship between aurora and zayne! The powers were interesting and the concept of the other world was unique. I can’t wait to read book two!
