Once a journalist, always a journalist...Though over the years so many of my magazine and newspaper features eventually pointed me in the direction of several mystery plot ideas they effectively created a writer-split personality. With that from 2006 to 2021 my fiction-concentration only 'strayed' slightly, finding its way into much of my mystery plotline based on researched facts. However, after researching, writing then publishing "Woodrow & Wren...The Rule Of Three" -and- watching the political direction of the United States openly supported by a print and television Press that not only reported bias it WAS bias--the old-fashioned journalist reemerged. I was ashamed how much a once proud profession had compromised itself to a point where it truly no longer deserved to be protected by the U.S. Constitution...The Press is protected in the Constitution so that it may expose corruption in government--but who/how is corruption exposed in the Press? Writing a blog has been a return to my days as a newsroom columnist.
I began publishing what I wrote as a novice reporter at 16 for my high school newspaper "The Static". The following school year I was Assistant Editor then in my senior year I was the monthly paper's Editor.
From then on I never stopped writing - moving to a regular column in a weekly community newspaper then features and columns in large city daily newspapers and then expanding to regular magazine features and columns.
With plot ideas and research literally 'piling' up, I left journalism for fiction in 2006 then ePublished my first mystery in 2011. Since then I now have 16 titles in print and electronic format for both adult and MG/YA readers...
