I started with reading the passages at the end of the day, which didn't help. I went to bed and forgot about what I read. Before the first week was over, I began my day with the devotionals.
I don't remember everything I've read and sometimes I blend the days together, but the repetition within each passage (even if it gets a bit annoying) is helpful. What is more annoying is the repetition between days, and not only on recurring ones. I purposely try to bring the words to mind during the day. I don't read the suggested readings scattered through each passage, but I like that they are there for reference. They're like mini sermons/homilies that take 2-3 minutes to read but stick in your mind.
Some of the things Lutz says rub me the wrong way too. I initially thought this was a 4-star devotional but have dropped it to 3 for that reason.

This book was a blessing in disguise, and couldn't have come at a better time in my life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a "spiritual lifting" and inspiration. A great application of God's word to apply to our everyday life.

2015/3/23 If you are looking for good devotional this is it. I started to read this every day the minute I received this book. I will read this book till it falls apart. (I have yet to have any of my books fall apart) I love the fact that this devotional gives just numeric date and not the day of the week on it. This makes it easy to use year after year. Thank you Mike for putting just the date only.

What a blessing this is to me! A beautiful way to begin my day in Gods word. God 365 is an insightful, inspirational, and a personal tool to help me daily walk closer to my savior Jesus!! It will bless your sox's off! It brings out the treasures and truths of Gods word and reminds us how deeply God loves each of us. It will encourage you and inspire you to be in Gods word in your daily walk. Everyone needs a copy. You will be blessed beyond measure.

God Every Day was a really good book. I really enjoyed how Mike Lutz Got deeply into Scripture and shows how applicable it is today. There were many good insights that I hadn't seen before reading the bible. God is very much glorified in this book with Jesus being honored beautifully.
I would recommend this book to any Christian who wants to deepen their walk with Christ. This is truly a fantastic book.

Great daily devotional! It's like getting a blessing through a succinct sermon. I love the way it applies the daily scripture to life and our Christian walk.
