Grandpa meets his match. 

Lachlan Whitmore, at age thirty-seven, is the oldest driver on the F1 circuit. He's been cast as a featured extra in a Formula One-themed movie. It's being shot at actual Grand Prix events. The movie tells the story of a past-his-prime driver trying to make a comeback. 

Jorja Heller is a makeup artist for the movie. This is her first big-budget film job. She and Lachlan bump into each other, and she tells "Grandpa" to watch where he's going. She'd noticed him before they bumped into each other, and now he's embedded into her memory. She's not had the best luck with men. Her last boyfriend tried stealing her credit card and, when caught, called her fat. 

She almost was fired after an interaction with one of the talents in the movie. Rules for support staff are to not hit on the talent nor insult them. She broke the second rule and became upset with Lachlan for him trying to help her. She doesn't need a man to save her; she can do that herself. But how she misses Lachlan. 

Lachlan decided to walk away before he actually does ruin her career. He regrets it, but it's for the best, isn't it?

Hot Lap is a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, curvy girl gets her hunk romance. Lachlan is a 37 year old hunky formula one (F1) driver nearing the end of his career. He is currently an extra in an F1 movie. Jorja is a young, sassy, and curvy makeup artist on the project. One look at her and Lachlan is gone for her, even if she did call him "Grandpa." But Jorja can't stop thinking of him either. This couple had great chemistry, and we ended on a happy note. This was a great addition to the series.

I am a sucker for a story with a curvy girl. Sometimes the thought of insta-love is just weird to me. Probably because I’ve never experienced it. But, this was a great intsa-love story!

I do wish he would have punched the actor though! lol!!

If you’re looking for a good spicy quick read, then definitely try this book!

Lachlan is a F1 driver and along with a couple of other drivers is to appear in a movie about F1 drivers, he’s not happy until he bumps into Jorja the make up artist in said movie and there’s instant attraction, there’s a bit of an age gap so tries to keep away but when he comes to her aid after a rather unpleasant situation they can’t deny their feelings and it’s fireworks. Likeable characters, this is a short, steamy with a hea story. I liked Seb so I hope he finds his One.

I love that the characters are ethnically explained and have depth to their individual character as well as the interactions with those around them. Elle Couper definitely delivers which is why I quoted, “Because that’s how happily-ever-afters happen.”
Her books make my heart happy and my day light. Life is challenging enough without all the angst to read about. Look forward to more books!.

This is a short, quick and stand alone read with instant love. The story is about Lachlan and Jorja. He is a race car driver and has been casted as an extra in a movie. She is a make up artist on set who insults him but falls hard for him. The attraction is instant and he falls hard and fast. This is a fun and entertaining story.

What I liked- I really loved the interchange between our famous "old man" Lachlan and very young cosmetologist Jorja. It was pleasant to see them both overcome 1. Jorja "falling for the star" & 2. Lachlan getting over being a grump.Can't wait for Sebastian to get his Happy Ever After next.

This is an entertaining sports age, gap short story, romance book that holds your attention throughout. The storyline is intriguing as the elements unfold. The characters are well written with steamy chemistry together. I enjoyed this book.

Loved the interaction between our favorite "old man" Scot Lachlan and young makeup artist Jorga. It was great to see them overcome Jorga "falling for the star" & Lachlan getting over being a grump.

Can't wait for Sebastian to get his HEA next.
