In the Okavango Delta region of Botswana, the Lewins are on a quest to see the majestic African elephants, and along the way they encounter a full range of African hippos, lions, leopards, wildebeest, giraffes, wild dogs, baboons, and more.
Ted and Betsy Lewin are world travelers who produce illustrated children's books about their travels. The photorealistic watercolors are amazing, but the story isn't engaging. My kids got bored quickly and just flipped through, looking at the pictures of wildebeasts, giraffes, and, of course, elephants. I tried to read it on my own, but ended up doing the same thing.
