The holiday’s and heartbreak do not go together but for Dailyn it was inevitable. She thought she was gearing up to begin a new chapter in life with her love as they became newly engaged and moved into their dream home. She is thriving as a hair stylist and her man is taking care of home.

What she doesn’t know is that he’s channeling his inner St. Nick and taking care of several other homes as well. His lies cheating and greed catch up with him before he can utter the words “Merry Christmas” and now he has left friends, family and loved ones to deal with the aftermath of his betrayal.

This was a predictable read however I’m invested and want to see what happens next. The story reads like others in the authors catalog so you can almost anticipate down to the details what’s going to happen. I can guess what will happen next but want to see if I’m correct so I’ll be reading the full length novel when it’s released.

Dailyn is livin’ her best life. She has a thriving business, a supportive family, and a man who worships the ground she walks on. Life couldn’t get any better until she finds out everything that glitters ain’t gold in her relationship. Keshaun went from being the perfect fiancé she never had to question to layin’ low and spreadin’ wide for any female who looked at him. Little did Dailyn know, her fiancé was the biggest heaux in Milly Grove and he wasn’t bit more shamed about it. Keshaun was passin’ out community peen like free raffle tickets and he was real generous too. Dailyn was none the wiser until Keshaun started gettin’ sloppy and movin’ funny. Now, she’s lookin’ at him upside his head and wondering if he’s worthy of her unwavering trust. Shyt goes left real quick for Keshaun when he steals from the wrong one and now he’s on the run leavin’ a heartbroken Dailyn with a target on her back in the aftermath. Holiday Heartbreak was a surprisingly good read. This author tends to be hit or miss for me so, I was honestly shocked at how much I enjoyed this book. I’m definitely lookin’ forward to seeing how all this drama plays out in part two.

I enjoyed this but I felt like there were so many signs that Keshaun had other stuff going on outside of what he was telling Dailyn. I wish she would have listened to her intuition. I’m looking forward to reading the full length novel.

Ehhh

Eh this was definitely Mid in my Jahda Jo voice. 

Dailyn swore she was standing on business when it came to Keshaun, but she allowed him to play in her face the entire book. You could see exactly where this story was going and sis felt that something was off about her man, but instead of really addressing it they get engaged🤷🏾‍♀️ okay girl. 

It lacked imagination, no real twists or turns. Mid.

If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy holiday read with hallmark channel vibes. This is not the book for you. They are hunching, selling drugs, cheating on they girls, and killing folks in this book. This is not a holly jolly Christmas book.

What happens when those who are supposed to be loyal to you betrays you in the worse way. From the outside looking in Dailyn and Keshaun are couple goals. They are madly in love with one another and Keshaun spoils his lady crazy. But what’s done in the dark always comes to light. And Keshaun has some secrets he is holding close to his chest that threatens everything he has with Dailyn.

This is a quick read and lots happens within those 90 pages. But I loved Dailyn and homegirl stood on business and wasn’t no pushover. When she threw them ashes on her raggedy ass cousin I was on the floor!!! Cause with family like that who needs enemies.

3.5 - This read was cool. Quick and to the point. The pages were definitely filled with a lot going on. Dailyn i really enjoyed her and how she stood up for herself. Love a good business woman and also her family i adored. This definitely gave off at the beginning the warm love a lot of us want but then you have Keshaun. The book was predictable or at least you’ll get that little voice in your head that something is not right. Now there was one thing i didn’t expect so that was a nice touch. All in all not a bad read and I’ll be down to read the full length novel when it comes out.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I can see where I will be reading this hot mess at least once a year!

Instead of Christmas, this story would have been better suited for Halloween! Let me explain. Keshaun is a rich, successful "street hustler". He is super fine and gives the appearance of honest but deadly. Dailyn is a beautiful and successful business owner. And the level of betrayal that Keshaun brought into her life was in the stratosphere. She didn't deserve that.

Nevertheless, spreading the ashes took on a whole new meaning at the memorial service. Laughed so hard, I had a pain in my side!!!!! Typing this review, I'm still laughing!!!!

Heartbreak.

3.5 Dailyn sent through so much with Keshawn from the start to the end. His raggedy ass mom was something else and she needed hands and feet. Dailyn cousin needed the same treatment because she was so wrong for what she did to Dailyn.

Did I eat it up? I sure did!

I understand this is called Holiday Heartbreak, but it was a lot. I needed Shaun to face his crimes & betrayal with Dailynn. The snakes... now on to Holiday Mayhem!

I ended up giving this book a 3.75/5. For this book to have been so short there was definitely a lot going on. Dailyn seems to be doing everything right. She's kind, she works hard, she loves her family. But of course she ends up with an f-boy, Keyshaun, who justifies his f-boy ways to himself at every chance he can. Early on you get his POV and how he justifies to himself that cheating on Dailyn and never intending to give up his lifestyle is fine because he "loves" her. He definitely doesn't love her. He loves what she represents. He loves that she's a good girl. She's kind and comes from a good family. She works hard. He loves that she loves him...that her loving him somehow makes him seem like a better person.

He was so out loud with doing his dirt that even his mother knew he was a serial cheater. And his mother knew that Keyshaun definitely didn't really love Dailyn. The big blow up at the end was hilarious. I was So glad that Dailyn gave his mother the disrespect that had been thrown at Dailyn the whole book.

There was a whole heap of family drama that I won't get into because I don't want to spoil the book. But if you are looking for a face paced quick read with a sprinkle of mess...definitely give this one a read.

The way it ended definitely has me looking to read part 2.

This was a good but predictable read!

Dailyn had way too much going for herself to be dealing with Keshaun! He was selfish & knew he couldn’t be the man she needed him to be yet still decided to string her along while he did what he wanted with who he wanted! The story was good but predictable. I must say the ending threw me for a loop! I was not expecting that at all! It definitely makes you want to know what going to happen next!

Nek did not come to play with this book. Dailyn thought she had a good man, but Keyshaun was GARBAGE. He was really playing in her face. Her dad knew he wasn't no good but was cordial with him for Dai's sake. When his mess was aired out, my jaw was on the floor. I was not expecting that plot twist at all. I can't wait for book two to see what happens next.

I just want to say Keshaun got exactly what he deserved. Cheaters never prosper and his mama is trifling too because why would support your son doing stuff like that. This was a good read I enjoyed it I hope Dailyn heals and continues being a boss. I can’t wait to see her character development in the next book.

This book was messy and that’s what I like it being around the holidays gave it a little razzle dazzle 🤣 Dailyn was a top notch woman with a hood guy. She lived every woman’s dream of having a good man and life until that wasn’t the case. Keshawn was just a disaster waiting to happen but I wasn’t expecting it to come full circle the way it did. 😩🤣

By Chapter 2 I knew I was right about Keyshaun not being shyt. Yes just like that. It was giving I’m a low down dirty dog with a wandering peen. This prequel/story showed me that you can be the baddest bih/woman walking, loyal, good head on your shoulders, making your own money, and take care of home AND a ninja still gonna cheat and do you wrong.

Baby the way Dailyn was being played by Keyshaun, made me sad for her. Dailyn was in love and loyal to a man that doesn’t realize what he thinks is love, really isn’t cause you don’t play someone the way he played Dailyn and call yourself in love with her. Keyshaun gave, if I can’t have you, NO ONE else will. He was selfish and disgusting. This man thought trips, money, and big gifts is all it would take to keep Dailyn. You can’t blind someone with materialistic things when they can get them, themselves and when they only looking for love and loyalty. FU Boy!!!!

But when what’s done in the dark starts to come to light at home, Keyshaun realizes just how he may lose Dailyn and how everything he thought about her finding out about home not being shyt would cost him. When Dailyn started to realize things weren’t adding up and making sense she called Keyshaun out and when the conversation was set to take place; an accident happens and things change.

Y’all the darkness get blown tf up and baby all hell has broken loose. Nek you did that!!! All the secrets and sneakiness was aired tf out and baby Dailyn showed them better than she could tell them. She wasn’t the one to play with cause she gon play harder. I can’t wait for the full story to drop.

This book was so good, OMG so freakin good! I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to the end. This was the one time that I didn’t want the trashy ninja to die, lbvs. I legit wanted him to be around to get his karma, but I guess in a way he did get his karma, It just wasn’t in the way that I thought he would get it. Cause that ninja have being an aunt ish azz phuck boy a whole new meaning🤬🤬🤬

Dai was blinded by Love😔. Like we usually are when that love bubble surrounds us. She was so far gone that she definitely overlooked all the signs, cause they were there. Oh, they were there before the text messages started coming through. But my heart broke for her😭💔. She found out how ain’t ish that ninja was during a time where she should’ve been grieving🤬🤬🤬. Her daddy knew, but he loved and support his daughter so he allowed her to make her own decisions and live her own life, but he knew that ninja wasn’t ish, and he knew he wasn’t the one for his daughter.
I’m so looking forward to book 2 and I’m so glad that I don’t have to wait for it cause baby, Whew Chil!

I didn’t see that ending coming lol. For this to be a short read this book had lot going on. Dailyn was on the right path, but as always good girls love bad boys. She came from a loving family just to settle for a street pharmacist with a community pickle and ignorant mother. Keshaun justified his failure to remain monogamous every chance he got. It’s so sad how easy it is to live a double life.
I don’t think he loved her. I feel like he loved the idea of having such a prized woman in his possession. If what he had for her was love chilleeeeeee may love never find me. I was happy to see Dailyn take her power back at the end. Disappointed she suspected cheating but still had unprotected love and made a baby.

This was a bomb a** prequel like hands down. However I cannot say that that person is dead because I didn't see a body burn to a crisp my a**. Where the body where the proof Ops cremation lies, I actually hope he Went the hell expeditiously. Cause you are cheating on a good woman cause you wanna get your Dick wet....
