When Katie Parker flees San Francisco for her small Midwestern hometown, she expects to leave behind an obsessed admirer. Being back in her family home gives her a sense of safety, her new job gives her purpose…and her coworker Ben Collins lights a spark she’s been missing for far too long.

For Ben, life in Enderlin is quiet and peaceful, his biggest concern, the ex-fiancée who keeps turning up like a bad penny. That is, until he literally bumps into a curvy brunette with stunning blue eyes and something to prove. Parker is a complication he doesn’t want or need; so why can’t he get her out of his head?

Katie settles into her new life, reconnecting with family and friends and falling for Ben’s easy charm a little more every day. But her attempt to escape seems to have made the stalker bolder, and his love letters quickly escalate to threats she can’t ignore.

When the mounting danger crosses the point of no return, Katie is left shocked, terrified - and utterly alone. But she knows one thing for certain; if she wants to get back to Ben and everyone she loves, she’s in for the fight of her life.

Sharon L. Clark is a romantic suspense author hailing from Des Moines, Iowa, where she never outgrew her enormous imagination and continues to feed both her hopeless-romantic heart and her villain-wannabe brain.

An avid reader from a very young age, Sharon still enjoys living vicariously through the heroines in adventure novels, falling in love again and again through romances, and getting the tar scared out of her now and again. After attending the University of Northern Iowa Sharon met her husband, Andrew, and together they have raised three pretty cool humans and a handful of dogs. It wasn’t until she was nearly an empty nester that she decided to focus on writing, and let other people see what goes on inside her head: the good, the bad, and the bizarre.

I’ll Call You Mine is her debut novel, but you can check out her short stories and other musings on her website or her social channels. She also has a collection of short stories and serials at Channillo. She is represented by Amy Brewer through Metamorphosis Literary Agency.

Note to self: ARC that I DNF at 50%.
WHILE hanging out with FMC at a bar after developing feelings for her, MMC ex fiancé comes and he leaves with her and sleeps with her....don't worry he feels bad about it. This kinda stuff is so not for me. I was expecting more of a suspense novel but most focus was on the romance and after that part I was out. Not for me.

“I’ll Call You Mine” by Sharon Clark is an addictive, heart-pounding romance that pulls you into a world where love doesn’t just heal—it protects. From the first page, you’re wrapped in a slow-burning tension that keeps you flipping pages late into the night.

Katie is the kind of heroine I live for—fierce, flawed, and fully in her power. She returns to a town filled with shadows and memories, determined to find peace in a place she once called home. Her journey isn’t easy, but it’s deeply real—and incredibly empowering. And then there’s Ben Collins… steady, grounded, and the kind of quiet strength that shows up without trying to fix you. Their connection? It’s a slow-burn spark that turns into a wildfire.

This story is the perfect mix of suspense, vulnerability, and soul-deep romance. Sharon Clark doesn’t just write a love story—she writes about resilience, trust, and the courage to rebuild.

If you’re craving a romance with grit, heart, and characters who’ll stay with you long after the last page, this one’s for you

This book was a shorter novel (250 pages) which made it a much easier mystery read for me. I struggle straying from my comfort zone, but this one had a good combination of romance and thrill.
The mystery actually had me stumped. It wasn't a blaringly obvious plot twist, waiting to happen, it actually had me shocked when it did hit.
Keeping in mind the length of the book, the author did well in setting up enough character development, timeline, history and the events of the twist.
Really well done.

“I’ll Call You Mine” is a suspenseful romance with quite a bit of action packed in towards the end. I figured out Parker’s crazy stalker pretty early on since there’s not many characters that we get to learn about in detail. I loved the relationship between Parker and Ben, with their banter and flirting. It’s a quick, enjoyable read.

I’ll Call You Mine by Sharon L. Clark is a thrilling romantic suspense that masterfully blends heart-pounding tension with a deeply emotional love story. From the first page, Clark pulls readers into a gripping narrative filled with danger, romance, and resilience.

Katie Parker returns to her small hometown of Enderlin, Iowa, seeking safety from a stalker who has upended her life in San Francisco. Her move is supposed to be a fresh start, but trouble follows her, and the threats become more brazen. Enter Ben Collins, her charismatic coworker with a reputation as a ladies' man. Despite her hesitation, Katie finds herself drawn to Ben’s charm and steadfast support, even as their growing connection intensifies the danger she faces.

Clark does a fantastic job of building suspense while developing a romantic relationship that feels genuine and compelling. Katie is a strong, relatable protagonist, and her journey is both harrowing and hopeful. Ben, with his easy charm and hidden depth, is the perfect balance to Katie’s guarded nature, making their connection feel electric and authentic.

The stalker subplot is gripping, keeping readers on edge with unexpected twists and chilling moments. Even when you think you’ve figured out the stalker’s identity, Clark manages to keep the tension high until the very end.

For fans of romantic suspense, I’ll Call You Mine is an absolute page-turner. It’s a story of courage, love, and survival that will keep you hooked until the final chapter. A must-read for anyone who enjoys a romance with an edge of danger!

I'll Call You Mine by Sharon L. Clark is a romantic suspense novel about a young woman, Katie, who is being stalking by a mysterious man. The stalking began while she was in college in San Francisco and continues after she entered the business world. After a few years of harassment Katie decides to move back to her hometown of Enderlin, Iowa and hopefully escape the stalker. However, it is soon evident that the stalker followed her back to Enderlin. As Katie tries to rebuild her life in Enderlin she falls for her co-worker Ben, but ends up putting Ben's life at risk. The story has a few twists and turns that are predictable but move the story along nicely. The book is both a romance and mystery woven into one storyline. I must admit it was fairly easy to figure out who the stalker was, but the storyline was enjoyable and it was a quick read. I read the entire book on a 3-hour flight.

This is normally my all time favorite go to genre! Overall it was a good read, it just wasn’t my favorite. There were a lot of characters and her “stalker” was kinda out there. The pace of the story was really slow with a lot of unnecessary dialogue/scenes. I really just wanted to know who her stalker was..even those last couple of chapters were a little over kill. I’m all for wrapping things up with a bow but sometimes I like a little tease!

FMC and MMC had great chemistry. The back and forth of their "when will they?" Added a nice slowburn. The suspense was perfect, although I did figure out the stalker pretty quickly. I enjoyed the Author's writing style. There was one plot moment that did surprise me and added a nice curveball. I wasn't expecting the climax of the story to last as long it did but I mean that in a good way. Ben is right about one thing though. Katie is a badass.

I don't normally read this genre (suspense romance) but this is definitely a step above what I've seen in the past. Maybe because it's a touch darker (protagonist is crazypants), maybe because I didn't figure out who the mysterious protagonist WAS until at least 3/4 through the book, but I was invested for sure. Would make an excellent Netflix movie/series. Looking forward to the next book in the series. *Disclosure: I know the author, but if I didn't like it, I wouldn't write a review. I'd just smile/nod and say to them "it was so good!".

This romantic suspense novel revolves around the theme of escaping a stalker by returning home. Katie is leaving San Francisco after discovering that her boyfriend and co-worker has been cheating on her and using her. She believes that returning to her small, "nowhere" town will help her forget her past mistakes, provide a fresh start, and put distance between herself and her stalker. Ben is dedicated to his job, and he feels that if he could finally break free from his ex-girlfriend, his life would be fantastic. However, things take a turn when he meets the new hire—the girl from the bar who has been occupying his thoughts. As Katie and Ben learn to work together, sparks begin to fly, but both carry their own baggage, some of which is more dangerous than they realize. Are they ready to take a chance on a relationship, or is their past too risky to overcome?
This debut novel by a new author captivated me. The writing was well-executed, with more emphasis on suspense than romance, although the main characters developed a relationship throughout the story. Typically, I gravitate toward romance, but when I seek mystery or suspense, I prefer it to be the central focus. I liked the characters and was pleased when Katie finally took control of her destiny, as her indecision often felt exhausting. However, I would have appreciated more insight into the police's approach, especially towards the end, and I found it easy to identify the stalker early on. Overall, it’s a good first novel that shows promising potential for the author. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

RIVETING AND CREEPY!

Katie Parker, Iowa native, moved off to San Francisco for college and then to begin her marketing career. But she amassed more than she bargained for: an obsessive stalker. She flees the coast and heads back home in the hopes that she'll shake her stalker, but to no avail.

After starting a new job, she is partnered with charming Ben Collins - a renowned ladies man. As hard as she tries to avoid it, she ends up falling for him which only seems to aggravate and embolden her stalker who has become much more bold and dangerous.

The balance of romance and thriller was nicely done - not too mushy! I did work the identity of the stalker about 2/3 of the way in, but still enjoyed how everything played out. I had difficulty putting this one down!

Thanks to NetGalley, Melange Books | Satin Romance and Sharon L. Clark for the eARC.

I pushed myself to get through it but gawd was it rough. I knew it was Cael basically as soon as the character was introduced and their pacing was so odd. Half the time I was reading this and I’m like okay we get it you’re in trouble and you don’t want to have feelings for them blah blah blah. I wanted more from their banter, and I wanted more just everything? Usually I’m just happy in a romance if they have a monologue but the one in this book seemed in such a strange place in the book. This one was just a miss all around for me. Someone left a review that most of the time they can see a twist coming but not this time and I'm thinking like a 5 year old could have figured it out with their box of crayons and coloring book and It felt like an episode of criminal minds produced by temu.

After attending college, and working in San Francisco, Katie returns home to Enderlin, Iowa to escape from a stalker.

This book started well with lots of twists and turns, and was very readable. As soon as Katie was kidnapped, the authors writing seemed to change, becoming a bit unrealistic, and there was so much detail crammed in that really wasn't necessary, it all became a bit rushed.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and author for letting me read a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

I can't remember the last time I skipped through so many parts as I did with this book. It felt like it was all over the place. I didn't like any of the characters which is weird as Katie is quite a strong, resilient girl - but somehow I just didn't click. Ben was also not better and I just. couldn't. with their banter.

It was all over the top, especially the Elizabeth storyline? Nah thank you.
