“If you could change something about your life, what would it be?”
A million ideas rush through my head before I settle on one. “I guess, when it comes down to it, I’d like if I were a little more relaxed.”
Alli has never been one to stray far from the beaten path and appreciates her organized, structured life. She wakes up at the same time each morning. She styles her hair the same way every day. She orders her coffee the same exact way each time. That’s how she likes things, yet when she notices an inflatable tube man dancing in the breeze, she cannot help but wish to be a little more go with the flow.
When the tube man pushes her boundaries and helps her discover a new side to herself, Alli must decide how far she’s willing to go to keep him a part of her life.
Wacky is book 9 in the Kyleverse, a series of sentient object romance short stories. Kyle isn’t the main character, but he shows up to help the plot in one way or another. The stories are sequential but can be read as standalones.
Wacky is a sentient object romance with explicit material. It is intended for 18+ readers.
Nicole Parker is the author of creative and humorous romance stories. She is a 30-something California native who spends the great majority of her free time writing books, reading books, or organizing her ever growing TBR list. She also has a spouse, some kids, and pets, but this isn't about them. Nicole's books are funny, raunchy, silly, and most importantly full of good vibes and happy endings.
Welp I found another fave in this series. Woah baby this one was something 🫣🥵
In this installment we follow Alli. She is a very routine, by the book gal. She finds herself in need of a new car but has no idea what’s in store for her at the dealership. She sure didn’t think she’d be getting railed by the inflatable tube man, that’s for sure. Yeah, that inflatable tube thingymajig. You know what I’m talking about.
This was so wild. I laughed and I talked out loud pretty much this entire adventure. Definitely add this one to your list 🤣
‘What appears to be silly string has erupted from the giant inflatable tube man that brought me to org@$m. He apparently grew a c0ck at some point? I am now covered in the colorful stringy stuff. I start laughing and I’m afraid I won’t stop. I’ve lost it. I’ve officially lost it.
“You OK?”…..
“No, I’m really not.” I wipe a tear from under my eye. “What the fu*k did I just do?”
And I thought I had officially lost it as well, as I laughed uncontrollably, at myself? At my current read? Was I okay? I wasn’t. I really wasn’t. I was questioning everything I knew about myself because I genuinely enjoyed this novella about a woman named Alli who wished to go with the flow, with a wacky, wavy, inflatable tube man named Quinton. Who brought the concept of knotting to a whole new level. In the midst of trying to buy a used car with a new and willing friend Kyle. It was laughter, it was magic and it was pure smut.
I had heard about Nicole’s sentient object romances in one of my book group chats for quite a while, and FOMO was rearing its ugly head as it does. Heat kept being directed my way, for I have a thing with lighting my oven on fire, and risking lighting stuff on fire atop it. Neither here nor there. The book that kept grabbing my attention, though, was book nine in the Kyleverse series: Wacky, primarily for a scene in Always Sunny In Philadelphia I often try to recreate, in which Dee learned sick dance moves from an inflatable tube man.
I decided the perfect time to read this 75 page masterpiece was while I was sitting in the corner of a children’s laser tag party. This, by the way, is, in fact, not the time to read a sentient object romance comfortably, but I was hooked quite immediately. It was a done deal. Car pun intended. If I were to put a blurb for this book, I would use exactly what I told an innocent bystander who wanted to know what I was reading about that was so funny. “Um. A woman is trying to buy a used car.” I may have thrown in a few other random, incoherent words, stuttering in slight mortification at the label I would surely get if it was realized what I was really reading. It was fine. Everything was fine.
This was my introduction to sentient object romance and what a road trip. Ha. I don’t know what kind of sorcery Nicole possesses, but I can tell you it’s real, I didn’t stop after Wacky. How she brings life to inanimate objects and has you caring for them is mind boggling. Her characters are well thought out and developed quickly, but you can oddly still connect and/or relate in some way. The $ex scenes are unorthodox, hilarious, unique, and unbelievably hot. Also, I have learned that each object has its own flavored c()m, which is fun.
This was such a happy, feel good read. I already have a soft spot for Kyle, a constant character in the series. Everyone deserves a friend like Kyle. I can’t wait to give you a little glimpse of Kyle’s other amusingly outlandish, orga$mically fun adventures.
This one was absolutely WILD!!! The reinvention of the term ‘knotting’ 😱 *spits out drink* I am in love with Kyle now btw, I could make him an honest man 😂
I was a little confused about how Quinton was suddenly a man but it’s magic so whatever! It’s so fun, I eat these up like candy
I would have liked a little hijinks to resolve the question of what to do about Quentin's "job". Yeah, love found a way but we were already doing crime, run with it. Kyle is perfect and the sex is always inventive and unskippable.
Are you ready to go with the flow? Alli is and Kyle is here to help. This one was so fun and a much better way to spend time at the car dealership that what I was expecting. Silly string, knots, inflatable men? Who could ask for more!
nicole parker NEVER misses y’all. this series lives rent free in my head and i TRULY never know what to expect next. inflatable tube man with knotting and sounding??? kyle getting into the tube man action??? public sex on a car dealership bench??? silly string cum??? literary perfection
I think this is my favorite Kyleverse book yet! I mean come on, a wacky inflatable arm flailing tube man with tassels (cough, knots, cough), silly string fun, and pockets for... important things. Plus who hasn't wanted to shove their arm inside a d-tube? Quinton was so sweet and go with the flow. Kyle of course was there to lend a helPEEN hand. Amazing per usual.
It's time to go with the flow, and I can't think of anything better to do that with than a 10 foot tall obnoxiously purple wacky wavy inflatable tube man!
Wacky is quite possibly the most ridiculous romance book I've ever read in all the best ways! I had to fight myself not to burst into a fit of giggles at my desk at work the entire time I was reading this. I've never contemplated a wacky wavy inflatable tube man or the logistics thereof, but I'm into it 😂
I liked Kyle's role in everything, too. I'm completely ashamed to admit that I've not read the other books in the series, a fact I will be rectifying very soon, but he was such a fun character to have pop up and sort of help things along. Everyone needs a friend like Kyle in their lives!
This was great; absolutely the best. It was exactly the boost of happiness I needed in my life, and this is the most excited I've been to binge my way through a series in a long time!
How do I even begin to explain this book? Do I start with how hilarious it is—going from “watching you” to a quickie, to one-night extras, to “male-ish in peril” to lovers, with plenty of silly string antics in between? Or do I dive into how Nicole sneaks in those heartfelt moments about not being afraid to chase what you want and let go of the fear of change? You know, Go With The Flow kind of thing.
Or maybe I’ll just stick with what I always say: Kyle. I love him. And when someone is asking a stranger, “No special feelings about the car, or the radio, or the floor mats, maybe?” you know they’ve seen some things, lived some things, and brought us along for the wild, chaotic, and deeply human (and not so human) ride.
Well, I guess I will put it all and let you decide what to take away from this one.
I say it everytime, but Nicole has left me absolutely speechless again!🤣 I truly never know what to expect and she always manages to top the last book’s craziness!! Quinton is quite the tubular icon. He’s caring, funny, (kind of hot if you’re into tube men), full of silliness (IYKYK) and extremely eager to please. Alli is also a wonderful addition to the Kyleverse family! She is super sweet and definitely deserves the extra special treatment she gets from Quinton and Kyle! If you’ve ever wondered what silly string tastes like or thought “Hey, that tube guy in the lot could get it!”, then this is absolutely the book for you!!
You go to the dealership looking for a car and end up having a completely different experience—a tube man full of surprises. Above all, it gives you one of the strangest yet most unforgettable experiences of your life. Another story in the Kyleverse. I love Kyle; he’s the perfect friend. I should put a Kyle on my Christmas list—it would be perfect. Quinton has several special features: Knot, silly, funny, and tasty 💦. Did she find the man of her life there, or should I say the inflatable man of her life? An inflatable man for this Christmas ✅
Wacky appeared flailing wildly into my inbox and I am buying what it is selling. Alli is a little high strung and after a particularly hard morning she confides in Brittany (a recurring Kyleverse character) she wishes she could relax more. This desire manifests in the form of a talking (and so much more) 10 foot tall purple wacky waving inflatable arm tube man named Quinton who is there to help Alli "relax" as she is trying to buy a used car. Soon the silly string come is spraying, the wacky arms are flailing and Alli is falling in love with her nylon lover. Will they get a happy ending (hehe)? Will the skeezy used car salesman, Chaz, get in the way? Will Kyle find his way into their trysts? (Of course he will, it's Kyle) Read this ridiculous and amazing book to find out.
Nicole has done it again! Wacky is yet another super fun edition to the Kyleverse. Intros to new characters, more info on previously introduced characters, and of course more fun with everyone’s favourite (wink wink nudge nudge) Kyle! Alli and Quinton are a great duo, who bring “go with the flow” to a whole new level. You are in for a wacky wonderful ride with this one!
• Public indecency • Silly string spløøgɛ • Pɛɛn pocket • Knøtt!ng (Sentient Obj. Style) • Sour apple flavour
Brittany is meddling again, and as usual, it's got some interesting results!! Nicole has really outdone herself with this one! It's got everything we expect from a Kyleverse book - it's funny, spicy, and has acts that defy the laws of physics! There's fıstıng that gets completely out of hand and turns into... I dont even know what to call it - arming?! There's public indecency on a car dealers bench, explosive silly string spløøgɛ everywhere, and there's Kyle to assist in all the shenaningans! It's brilliant!
Have you ever had a fever dream about going and getting a used car and having crazy sex with the inflatable man outside of the dealership? If you haven’t, and this sort of thing interests you, this is the book for you. What I love about these books as they are completely unhinged, but there is almost always a sentimental twist on them. That’s what I love about them, while they are certainly short and sweet fever dreams, always tug at my heartstrings, even just a little. I have to say that this might’ve been one of my favorites ofNicole parks books. This was an arc review.

This is definitely one of my favorite Kyleverse stories to date. Alli is such a relatable character. Who doesn't need a lesson on how to be more "go with the flow"? And Quinton was just the wacky, wavy inflatable tube man to do it, with Kyles help, of course! The way Nicole's brain works never ceases to amaze me. Like, the new take on knotting? Absolute genius. 😅 Just the goofy little feel-good/spicy story I needed to pull me out of a funk.
Expect: 💜 Silly string 🎉 C*ck pocket 💜 Tube f*sting 🎉 A new kind of knot 💜 Love finding a way
Did I ever think I’d be sitting here writing a review for a book where a woman falls in love with a wacky inflatable tube man? Nope but here I am. Wacky is a super cute story that proves love can be found anywhere. I absolutely love Alli and Quinton, and how they find each other. As always Kyle, our guide to navigating loving sentient objects, helps our adorable couple figure things out.
Overall, I love this series and will always be in love with it.
I really liked Wacky. I think it’s my favourite Kyleverse book so far.
I thought the story was really moving. I think Alli’s anxiety really spoke to me. Like her, I find it hard to go with the flow. Quinton is as adorable as a tube man as he is as a man. And Kyle… I love that character, he’s really incredible!
I don’t know where Nicole Parker gets all her ideas, but I hope she’ll be sharing them with us for a long time to come.
I want to live in this town and be friends with Kyle. This installment of the Kyleverse is written like the other books, but there is something more whimsical about Wacky. I’m not sure if that was the whole point when Alli is learning to relax and loosen up. I love that we get to learn more about “Mocha Lady” (Alli) and see her grow in a very short span of time. I will never look at Fly Guys the same again.
"People don't fall in love with sentient objects after a couple of days. That's ridiculous." If this quote doesn't describe this entire series, I don't know what else will 😂
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Wacky is definitely a wacky and crazy amount of fun! When one woman's day starts going horribly wrong, of course the town's handy friend Kyle, is there to help! Then you add an unsuspecting inflatable tube man and you have yourself the best car shopping experience ever 😂 I had a great time with our new characters and getting to see more of the town's witches in action as well. Also who knew a tube man would be such a sweetheart 🥰
