I saw this at my city library and was drawn to it because I love our national parks and would like to learn to watercolor one day. This book is really interesting and has great information for beginners, as well as lovely watercolor paintings of iconic national parks vistas. I have not had the chance to try out any of its step-by-step instructions, but they look very clear to me.
Well done. This book combines tutorials, videos and outlines to help you reproduce the vibrant paintings from Emily Olsen. The level of detail is beyond my ability but, I enjoyed trying.
The book arrived today, and I have gone through it quickly. I already know this book will help improve my watercolor skills. All the basic techniques are covered clearly using text and examples. Can't wait to get started painting.
As someone who has dabbled in watercolor for a number of years, I was very happy to find a watercolor instruction book that went way beyond what many of them do. Even if the national parks are not your first choice as a subject to paint, there is so much to learn and it is so clearly presented (with links to helpful videos!) that it will boost your watercolor skills and confidence. I wish all painting instruction books were as solid and easy to follow as this one.
