Graced to Go: Step into the Bigger Bolder Life that Belongs to You

Rate this book
If God has called you, He has equipped you.

You were not meant to live stuck. Maybe you’ve had glimpses of something much bigger, better, and higher for your life. Maybe, when you’ve let yourself dream God-dreams, you’ve seen things that seemed completely impossible. They’re not impossible—not once you understand that Jesus has given you “grace to go” for every situation and to overcome every challenge.

In Graced to Go, New York Times Bestselling author Victoria Osteen encourages you that you do not need to fear whatever lays ahead and gives you the courage to take the first step in the direction that God is calling you.

Drawing from the lives of beloved Bible characters who felt stuck in difficult circumstances or faced seemingly-insurmountable odds—including Gideon, Abraham, Esther, and Moses—Victoria helps you see that when they trusted Him and took a step, God blessed them with grace to go. She walks readers through seven ways God prepares us for our own battles. When God calls us, we are

. . . With What You Have
. . . In the Position You’re In
. . . With What You Have Left
. . .  With Eyes to See the Good
. . .  With No Regrets
. . . Knowing You Matter
. . . No Matter What You Need

When God calls us, we are graced with the strength, courage, and gifting we need to face whatever challenge is before us. This encouraging, empowering, and inspiring book will help you to move toward all the favor and blessing God has for you.

Graced to Go: Step into the Bigger Bolder Life that Belongs to You by Victoria Osteen

In Graced to Go, Victoria Osteen explored how we can all step into our callings and to choose to not live in fear. A way we can do this is by understanding grace and choosing to go. She begins the book by sharing that people aren’t meant to be struck in life. She revealed that the key to being unstuck is living in grace. Grace is a touch of God’s incredible favor and blessing to accomplish things through His help. We can’t earn grace but we can choose to receive it as a free gift from Him. The word, “Grace” appears 146 times in scripture. She explained how God has tons of scriptures instructing people to get moving and to keep going forward. The very last command from Jesus was “therefore go” before he ascended back into Heaven.

One of my favorite stories, she stated was about how we may need to turn our telescope around. She heard this story about a little boy who was getting bullied. The boy felt threatened and hated to even leave his house. He would do his very best to go the long way around and not run into the bully. The boy struggled with being brave and standing up to the bully. One his birthday, his father gave him a telescope as a gift. One day his father noticed that his son was looking through the telescope the wrong way. He told his dad he was choosing to look through the lens from this angle where he could look at his bully. It may him appear smaller and he wouldn’t be afraid of him anymore. The lesson of this story is something we have to look at things differently and we must realize that we could be magnifying the wrong thing. We can actually shift and change our perspective. We can choose to find the good in all things if we just would look deeper and focus on the positive.

I would recommend this life changing book to anyone who is ready to move forward and to walk in grace daily. Victoria has written another incredible book covering grace and how important it is to live out our lives with as few as regrets as we can. I liked how she looked at many different Bible characters such as, Gideon, Joshua, Caleb, Abraham, Esther, Moses, to name a few and how they faced and dealt with their own circumstances. She encouraged readers to go and to live their lives to the fullest and to see the good and lean onto what God says about you. Each chapter ended with grace thoughts reminders and grace reflections with questions and room to write down your answers. This is a very powerful book that readers will need to learn and reread to get the content deep down into their spirits.

“I received this book free from the publisher for my honest review.”

It has been a joy to read Victoria Osteen's new release "Graced to Go" and to listen to the audiobook version as well. I also took the opporunity to use the companion "Graced to Go" workbook as I read each chapter.

The book is comprised of 7 chapters that focus on grace in distinct ways to offer the reader a deeper look into how we were never meant to be stuck because we have everything we need to go in the grace that God has given to each of us. Victoria Osteen helps the reader realize this reality and offers hope through encouraging and insightful, inspirational personal stories as well including historical heroes of faith stories reminding us that they were ordinary people who allowed God to use them in extraordinary ways.

I found that the "Grace Thoughts" and "Grace Reflections" at the end of each chapter helped me dive deeper personalizing the chapter to make it more meaningful as I focused on what I had just read. I enjoyed that aspect of the book because it prompted me to apply Victoria Osteen's encouraging words to specific circumstances that I am dealing with in my life.

Victoria Osteen shares her heart in this empowering book so be prepared to take your favorite beverage with you to your favorite place to read and get ready to be encouraged and inspired and reminded that you have everything you need to move forward in grace.

Graced to Go: Step into the Bigger Bolder Life that Belongs to You

I got this book as it sounded really compelling and interesting.

I agree that God can bring a lot to your life, and can improve your live in miraculous ways.

Victoria's writing, although encouraging and faith-based, seemed to really circle around how God can bring a lot to your life - in an almost material way. I also did not find the writing as theologically grounded as I was expecting from a Christian book.
It was then that I realized when getting this book, is that Victoria is the wife of prosperity gospel superstar Joel Osteen. I suppose I could have done more research, but it is all good.

Just not exactly my type of book.

I found the writing and tone accessible for readers, and uplifting.

Despite this book's positivity, it really is not the type of motivation for Christianity, and not the example I personally resonate with, nor can recommend - but do with this information as you see fit!

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity for this ARC.

Osteen has written a very encouraging book. She gives many biblical examples of God asking and then empowering people to go beyond what they thought they were capable of. She also includes many examples of people being graced by God to do beyond what they thought able. She also has encouraging stories of people faithfully doing the ordinary yet with amazing results. There are also examples of the ripple effects of kind and generous acts and some teaching for difficult times.

There are good bullet points at the end of each chapter highlighting the main concepts as well as questions for reflection or use within a trusted group of fellow readers. Osteen encourages readers to shift their perspective to see life through God's lens. It is a good book for Christians who desire to live with positive thoughts toward God and life. There is some teaching similar to the prosperity gospel but it is not the emphasis of the book as there is also an emphasis on serving others.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. My comments are an independent and honest review.

Graced to Go by Victoria Osteen is a standalone inspirational book. I enjoyed the message of listening to those “I am called to do something” feelings. This book was very encouraging.

I truly enjoyed the narration by the author and thought this was a wonderful production.

I thought this would make a wonderful gift for recent graduates, for someone starting a new job or anyone going through change in life, basically everyone in your life!

I loved the style of this book. It felt like I was enjoying a cup of coffee with an old friend!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed this book and would reccomend it to new believers. Although there were lots of good instances of other people's experiences side-by-side with examples from the Bible on how people benefitted from the grace of God to excel in their ministry, I felt like I needed some more practical instructions to supplement the generalized "you are graced to go" ideas. Yes, it's important to move in faith, but there are some obstacles that can present themselves that may require more detail.

Anyway, this would make a great gift to someone you just helped witness to. I don't feel like there was anything groundbreaking in here, but at the end of the day, I was still motivated and inspired by this book.

' Graced to Go ' is a reminder of what we've been blessed with, and how to stay focused on that powerful truth. Loved the author's writing style, as everything came across as if she was sitting next to you, sharing over coffee. The biggest takeaway for me from reading was the powerful truth of grace that Father God lavishes over each of us. ' Graced to Go ' is perfect for solo or group read, and for all, no matter where one may be in their faithwalk. Emotionally, " Graced to Go ' has blessed me with hope. I really appreciated the sections of Grace Thoughts and Grace Reflections; both of which provided a great extension in to my journaling time.

I got the audiobook via NetGalley.

This book encouraged me and my faith. It teaches about stepping out in faith to the calling God has for you by believing you have been graced to go.

This resonates deeply because I'm the kind of person who waits for the itinerary and destination before trusting, but this book teaches to trust God with the journey.

I love how it culled examples from the Bible and from the lives of people the author knows, making it even more realistic and challenging.

I recommend.

I enjoyed this book! It was exactly what I needed to read right now.

I loved the format of the book- the quotes, mantras at the end and journaling prompts are wonderful!

It helps you surrender to your plans to God, and makes you see that every little thing you do can and does have a bigger impact than you know, at the time.

I loved that Victoria did the narration for the audiobook! It was the perfect companion to the ebook.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me an ARC and ALC for this book.

I am not a fan of the Osteens. I have long held the belief that I could never trust a pastor in a mansion, but that being said, Graced to Go was absolutely amazing. I have never read her books before nor those of her husband despite working for over six years in Christian retail as a teenager. I got the book through Netgalley wanting to check it out and with low expectations, but I was honesty blown away. I loved the book so much. It was so encouraging to do what we can and how God does have a plan and a purpose for us. She gives so many relatable examples.

She also talked about her church's special needs ministry, and I honestly want to know more! My special needs son was kicked out of churches in our area as a baby, so I love to hear that there are churches who are not doing that! If you are looking for an encouraging and uplifting book! Check this one out. You don't have to be an Osteen fan to appreciate the beauty is this book! I would definitely want to read it again!

Thank you to NetGalley, the publishers, and Victoria Osteen for an audio ARC. I greatly appreciate it.
