This book kept my interest and I didn’t want to put it down! I was almost annoyed when it ended because I wanted to continue with the characters in their journey. I’m glad it’s a trilogy! On to book 2!
I thoroughly enjoyed Shadehunter. It includes a great cast of characters, each with a unique personality, skill set, and backstory. The plot features a fun heist that gave me Six of Crows vibes. Can't wait to read the sequel and see where these characters go next!
I admit that I was nervous before I started this book. I've read incredible indie books, but I've also read a few stinkers. Thankfully, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, cover to cover. It's a fun supernatural fantasy adventure, set in a world that reminds me of Mistborn Era 2. The lore and worldbuilding were fun and well thought out, and a world that revolves this heavily around thinking about the afterlife, and dealing with shades and ghouls was fascinating. Luke could have gone a dark/horror route with this, but I'm glad he did not (personal preference).
LOVED this book! Reminded me of Six of Crows in the best way. I'm a plot junkie, and this book delivered with lots of surprises, twists, and turns. Can't wait to read more in this world.
